So I called these guys from a Craigslist ad. Had a problem with a toilet leaking which also caused…read moresome damage to the garage ceiling which is below the toilet that was leaking. They came out and told me it would be $150 to rebuild the toilet. Being that I needed it fixed, I didnt shop around since they came out same day. They did replace the flapper assembly and fixed the leak at the bottom of the tank by replacing the hose. Here is the bad part: When they finished, the flushing handle was free floating(meaning no locking nut on the inside to keep it in place. They tried to tell me that there wasn't a nut there before which seemed odd to me becasue I have used that handle a thousand times to flush and it wasn't floating like that. The plumber told me they didnt have one on the truck but they would bring one by. I asked when. He told me 9:00 tomorrow am and they would put it on real quick. When they didnt show by 9:30 I called and asked when they were coming by. Then he tells me that it will cost $120 for that part and they dont work for free. I told him that's no way to do business, when you make a promise, you keep it. He told me that I was free to repair that part of it myself and the $150 rebuild did not include the flushing handle or nut that holds it in place. Later on, I went digging through my trash can where they had thrown away the old parts and lo and behold, I found the nut that goes on the back side of the flush handle. Obviously, these guys dont really know what they are doing, are scam artists and tried to make me think I was crazy when they threw away the part. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!! YOU are now forewarned!!!!

We have had Vertechs relocate light fixtures in our ceiling and walls as well as relocate and add fire detectors. They have serviced our breaker box as well as interior and exterior outlets. Their technicians have always been polite, respectful and informative when explaining the issues they have discovered and how they conducted the repairs. Last week they were at our home as we were having issues with original outlets installed by the builder shutting off and becoming extremely hot. The problem was taken care of the same day I called as the issues were very serious to me. I really like the fact that I am informed of their progress and proximity to my home when they are coming to the house to conduct repairs. I also have 18 foot ceilings in parts of the home as well as in the stairway to the second floor and they are the only company I have found who will come out to change lightbulbs and smoke detector batteries at those ceiling heights. I highly recommend Vertechs, they are the only electrical company I will use and I feel very fortunate they do not find any electrical home service task too small to be willing to work on as other companies have.
