I'll start by saying Mike appears to be a very nice gentleman. He was very communicative in the beginning (even emailing after hours) and was responsive to my questions. He came out for an estimate, took time to explain things to me and based on the conversation, it appeared he had a significant amount of knowledge about grout. I felt confident going with him to clean and seal my grout, and initially decided to go with his company. Things shifted shortly after. Upon leaving Mike told me he had a lot going on, his company was extremely busy, and that I should nudge him to ensure he gets back to me about when to come out. I thought this was sort of odd to ask a customer, but I rolled with it. He sent me an extremely reasonable quote via text and then asked me to start a new text thread adding in his partner John. Again, I thought this was weird but did it anyway. I reached out to them 5 days later via text but didn't hear back. So I sent a yelp request to get more quotes. Unbeknownst to me when Yelp asked if I'd like to send the quote request out to other businesses, they sent the same request to Mike again. He responded through yelp (despite not responding to my texts), and I explained to him I didn't hear from him and asked for more quotes. He mentioned he was backed up and would try to get back to me next week. He did reach back out 2 days after that but the dates he mentioned were in the past (I think it was a typo) and it just seemed like he wasn't all that interested in having me as a customer; other businesses had very detailed quotes, followed up, etc. In the end, there was a stark shift in his communication with me after meeting me and providing a quote. I'm not sure if there was something personal about me that disinterested him, if the job wasn't big enough/lucrative enough (I have about 800 sq ft of tile I needed sealed) or if he was just really busy and didn't need the business. Either way, I didn't get the impression, based in his actions, that he wanted to provide me with a service. So I decided to go with a different company. He seems to do great work though, but I can't attest to that. read more

Brady Seal epoxied my garage floor as part of home warranty repair (so full disclosure, I didn't pay for this). They finished the job in 5 days (1 day sanding/grinding the floors clean, 1 day power-washing, 2 days drying, and 1 day epoxy). I was then told to wait 7 days before parking the cars back in the garage. The work looks good, and I'd be comfortable recommending them to other people (based on the quality of the work only, I don't know how much this actually would cost other people). read more

Would leave zero stars if I could. Brady Seal has done some repairs for us on our counters which turned out okay(at this time was a warranty issue through Lennar). My complaint here is with their complete lack of respect for people's time. Brady Seal's main customer is Lennar homes (builder). As such, regular customers or potential customers are put on the back burner. I set up an appointment (this time not through Lennar, was using them purely because they had given me their contact info after doing repairs through Lennar previously) a week in advance, even got confirmation from Mike several times before our appointment window of 9-1. I was told the worker had an am appointment at 8 and should be with us shortly after. After hearing from my wife (who put her day in hold to be home for the appointment) that no one was there yet, I had to contact them to find out when they were coming to which they replied sorry but we aren't coming because Lennar gave us more work. Somehow it's perfectly normal for you to push people off that have been waiting for an appointment simply because someone else wanted more work done. Unbelievable waste of my wife's day. He wanted to reschedule again....fool me once. Not twice. Dear Brady Seal. People's time is valuable. If you say you will be somewhere at a certain time, then do it. You should have called me, not me having to chase you down. This is so unprofessional and par for the course for Lennar homes and all the subs they use. Next time this happens with someone else, tell Lennar you are booked and fit them in after... you know, as if you actually cared about your customers. For potential customers, I suppose if you don't care at all about wasting countless hours and days waiting on workers to show up then by all means use this company. I will be seeking other professionals that actually respect people's time investment in waiting for work to happen at the scheduled date and time. Upon scheduling a date for the work, his team did an excellent job of grinding the concrete, leveling it and sealing the cracks. The process was smooth and very nicely done.
