Yousri is the best; he goes way above and beyond. My three year old wool rug was in dire shape with hanging loose threads and dents from my coffee table. I was on the verge of buying a new rug and I am so glad I didn't. When my tired rug was returned to me it looked brand new. Yousri removed the threads and somehow restored the rug so none of the dents were visible, and the colors and depth were revived. Also, he is so flexible and responsive and came over multiple times to pick it up, return it, and then another time to bring me a fabulous rug pad he custom cut to fit perfectly under my rug; he educated me on how essential a rug pad is. Very friendly individual and great quick work, but upcharged when arriving when I had specified that the establishment would be a 2bed/2bath apt. He said it was because it would take multiple hours to clean, but ended up finishing in 1 hour. It is important to be very clear as to all the rooms you need cleaned (just saying 2bed/2bath apt is not enough) and get an upfront honest price estimate so you can do comparison shopping. Other vendors were willing to do the work for less than his price, but he was already there and I needed it done, so paid the extra money. read more

Tea was spilled on our brand new expensive ivory wool rug :( I freaked out thinking for sure it was ruined. I quickly looked at YouTube videos and googled tea stain removal. I scrubbed and scrubbed and tried baking soda, vinegar, carpet staining solutions. Nothing was working. I called Stanford carpet cleaning the next day. They arrived promptly and started rinsing the spot and removing the baking soda and vinegar I applied. Then they told me that tea, coffee and Coke are the worst stains for natural fibers such as wool. They had a special cleaning solution to remove the stains without damaging the carpet any further. They applied it a few times and I was amazed with the results. The stain was disappearing! They folded the rug to see if there was any moisture to the rug pad or wetness on the hardwood floors. Turns out that the rug pad was wet and moisture started to seep into the wood floor. So they decided to take the rug and rug pad to dry out. They wiped my hardwood floor dry. Within a couple of days they called saying that they will deliver the rug (stain completely removed) and rug pad and place them as they were. Not only was the stain removed but the wool yarns were repaired (from all the rubbing that I did) and the rug was restored to its condition. I am beyond amazed with the service, quality and professionalism. Highly recommend their service! And to top it off Yusri and his team are friendly, kind and very thoughtful. read more

Five days ago I dropped an entire open bottle of nail polish on my master bedroom carpet and made a 42" line of pink polish in a highly visible spot. I called Yousri at Stanford Carpet Cleaning, who we have trusted for many years, to ask if the carpet could be patched, and what the options were. He came right out and worked the spot and within about 20 minutes there was no sign of the polish. Amazing. Stanford Carpet and Oriental Rug Cleaning does an excellent job. We have Persian area rugs in our entry and kitchen and get them cleaned annually, and they always come out perfect. I read a bad review on this company. In my experience, Yousri always tells you the risks. With the nail polish, the first thing he did was tell me it might not come out and asked if I was willing to take that risk. I have one area rug that is very thin that he advised me not to have him clean it because it was very frail and has some damage. I am sorry someone was not happy with this service, but they are honest, and if you want honest good work, I highly recommend this company. Luckily I live pretty close to their location, so Yousri came by within an hour to pick up and rug and promised to deliver the cleaned rug in time. I had noticed a reference to tiles/grout on their website, so I asked him to take a look at a small tile repair job in my back patio. He told me that he was not into tile repair but offered to lend me some tools and mortar to complete the job myself. We vaguely agreed on that plan, so I was pleasantly surprised - make that shocked - when he came back within an hour to deliver all the materials! I proceed to complet that job myself. My rug? It was cleaned and delivered on time. This was old-fashioned service at its best. Yousri has me signed on as a loyal customer. He has a very pleasant manner and is reliable and trustworthy. I first used this company about fifteen years ago, maybe even twenty. I called earlier this year to have a Tibetan rug cleaned after many years of beagle and cat hair had left rug in such a terrible condition that it was rolled up and left in the attic. Well after I brought the rug out of retirement and a divorce, I can honestly state this was best carpet cleaning experience I've ever had. Mr. Touni is always on time, sets forth fair prices and will caution anyone about normal wear and tear, residual pet stains, etc. just to be clear that he can't work magic every time. Well he worked magic and invested ten (10) additional washings of my prized rug because he knew how much it meant to me. Yes he charged me a little bit more, but no way near what he could have for the time invested. this week we had Mr. Touni come to clean our carpets for the first time. He and his assistant were very professional, time efficient and thorough with their cleaning. They moved the very big bed aside to clean underneath and they removed a rug from under the bed as well! They put back in place all the large objects with plastic protectors and advised to let dry til tomorrow to put back smaller items. All the stains came out and our carpets look like new! They also cleaned the stairs and upstairs bedrooms to like new! I highly recommend this carpet service for their efficiency and professionalism...will definitely call again next time we need them! We had an area rug cleaned by Stanford carpet cleaning. It was really a very bad job - the carpet looks worse now; the colors got smudged all over. The owner is a big talker, but the only thing he seems to have done is run a steam cleaner through - the spots on the carped were still there and now after "the cleaning" the light ivory color is gray. Moreover, some powdered black stuff kept on coming out of the carpet after he delivered it - we did not have such problem before. Don't waste your money and do not let him ruin your carpet. I have been using Stanford Cleaning for many years, and have always had the best, most considerate and careful service from them. I am a bit chemically sensitive, so I was thrilled to find them years ago when most people hadn't heard of this. They are willing to use just soap and water on my good rugs, and the steam extraction machine on our carpets, leaving everything really clean with no odd smells, as chemicals can do. Careful, Prompt, Professional, and Polite. They used a high quality steam cleaner and worked very carefully and efficiently. Our carpets were not super filthy, but we wanted a deep clean because of some respiratory problems in the family. They went the extra mile by helping to shift the mattress off the bed in our kid's room and moving the bed aside to get underneath. All the furniture was placed back in its proper spot, with protective foam underneath the feet. They covered every spot, evenly, with no mistakes.
