I am extremely disappointed with Caleb's new grout. They are extremely nice people but lack the experience and expertise, and they ruined my pebble shower floor. I hired them for cracked grout, very little surface, and to clean the grout and seal it. They did not clean the grout at all, and sealed on top of it. I typically did a much better job with vinegar and baking soda, but they were supposed to be professionals and clean it very well. I let that go, orangy color, fine, they gave me excuses. The other detail is they told me it was better to fix cracking grout with this material that was basically rubber caulking mixed with grout. They had told me when I hired them that they would match the color. They did not match the color of the grout, they made it more of a gray. I said okay, fine, I let that go. Then they made the line very thick, not seamless as it was, literally looks like thick frame around shower door. I let that go. What they did was simple caulking gun pass to seal. I followed directions and let it dry. After a few days of showering I noticed the grout/caulking they had put was already cracking and coming off. They came back out and fixed it. Then after a few days it cracked again, called them again, and they were to come out 3rd time. Then I did research and found out that what they were using is cheap material. I had been quoted by another company who promised me a 7 year warranty because they used high quality material Epoxy grout. I made the mistake of going with Caleb's grout due to reviews and slightly lower price. But I made a huge mistake. Caleb's new grout offers a 6 month warranty unlike competitors that offer at least 1 year or 7 years. After the 3rd time they came out I asked if they dealt with Epoxy grout, high quality material that their competitor was offering. They said they only did it in new installs. After researching Epoxy grout is the best material but requires expert install, and professional touch. Their competitor was offering Epoxy Grout but I honestly had done little research and trusted the companies. Caleb's New Grout also told me their material would only last 1 year if that. However with Epoxy grout this stuff lasts for years. So they couldn't do Epoxy grout so they went back to grout and installed that. This is where the attached image shows how they destroyed my stone and grout. The job was so careless there's hardened grout all over the stones of my pebbles. They ruined the wall tile as well. They would basically take a huge sponge and wipe grout all over the walls. It was atrocious workmanship. I called them extremely disappointed and they gave me 50% back, but to be honest they have ruined my shower floor and I need to pay someone to fix it. The cost was not cheap either, $650, so basically paid a couple hundred for my shower floor to be destroyed. Again, very nice people, but they do not have the expertise and do not work with high quality materials. The workmanship with the grout was awful. They ruined the stones in my shower. I am beyond disappointed.

Carlos with Caleb's New Grout did a great job regrouting my two bathroom floors and entry floors. I had old dirty white grout with lots of holes, and they had great attention to detail making sure that it was all well-replaced with the new darker grout to match my tiles. It all looks much cleaner and sleeker now! Carlos also helped to remove an old sliding shower door that I'm replacing, and rebuild and retile the curb underneath it. The curb was poorly built, not level, and sloped *away* from the shower instead of inward which is code, so that when I put in the new shower door, water won't pool and leak there. Carlos did all this with great attitude and workmanship (especially the curb!). I'll be contacting Caleb's New Grout for my future tile and grout needs!

Wow, I would highly recommend Caleb's New Grout. Super quick and great work! They are also very responsive - I like how I could send them pics via text for a quote. I solicited quotes from three local vendors and Caleb's was the best. I will definitely use them for the next project.

    No more pink stuff!

Steven and his coworker were fantastic and made our biohazard walk-in shower clean and beautiful! They arrived within the arrival window, assessed the situation, and got right to work. They even took off their shoes/used shoe protectors when they saw that we leave our shoes at the door. I appreciated their professionalism. We also had them clean and regrout the guest tub, which was less frightening than the shower to begin with but still needed some TLC. Before and after photos of former biohazard posted below.

Tile and Grout King…read more Tile and Grout King just completed a second job for my husband and me. Three years ago they worked as a subcontractor here on another job. For that job, they tiled two downstairs bathrooms, an office, and an outdoor space, all part of an addition, so the rooms were totally new. The quality of their work was so good that we hired them again, this time directly, as our general contractor. This year we decided to work on two upstairs rooms for a much-needed refresh. One room was relatively straightforward, basically ripping out the old floor and installing a brand new one. They did a beautiful job, but it was not tremendously complex. However, the primary bathroom that they just did for me was a complicated job, and they did an amazing job on it! The room was completely gutted, and they then installed a heated floor, shower, vanity, tub, toilet--the entire room (except for the painting) was done with their crew. Their electrician and their plumber were both great to work with--very responsive, and top-notch work. But the tiling is simply INCREDIBLE. I live in a 100+ year old craftsman house, and I designed this primary bathroom room mostly by myself, trying to make it appropriate for the age and style of this well-loved house. I am ecstatic at how it turned out, and the logistics of working with Tile and Grout King was stressless. I was lucky enough to have Jose as the main tile setter. Jose is a true craftsman and a joy to work with. He takes such pride in his work and really went out of his way to please me. We would meet frequently to review the project. Questions were always promptly answered. I would watch him and his associate Fernando work, and every single tile was placed with care and precision. I can't imagine anyone else doing such a masterful installation. I must admit that when I designed the room, because I am not a professional, I had no idea how intricate it was. But I am incredibly pleased with the results. The bottom line is that I simply can't recommend this company highly enough. Every construction job has a few hiccups along the way. Even with those, they were a pleasure to work with and if I ever do another bathroom (years and years from now!) Tile and Grout King will be doing the installation.

My experience with Bay Stone Depot was extremely frustrating and disappointing…read more I purchased two stone slabs for my home, expecting premium quality and service given the price. Within weeks after installation, pit marks and dents began developing on the surface. Over the following months, additional defects continued to appear under normal use. When I reported the issue, Bay Stone initially acknowledged it as a quality concern but directed me to work directly with their supplier rather than handling it themselves. After months of follow-up, the supplier's representative inspected the slabs and offered replacement slabs. I then returned to Bay Stone to request some form of refund instead of replacement, since the cost of uninstalling and reinstalling the slabs makes the replacement offer impractical and financially unreasonable. Bay Stone indicated that a refund might be possible but claimed the supplier required the original slabs to be returned. That was not what I had been told. After I confirmed with the supplier that returning the originals was not required, Bay Stone changed its position. The manager, Kimberley, told me it was "not scientifically possible" for pit marks to develop after installation and suggested I should have identified the issue at delivery. I provided multiple dated photos showing the progression of the defects. After that, my messages went unanswered. What stood out most was the lack of ownership and empathy. Kimberley was not apologetic and did not appear interested in finding a practical resolution. Instead, responsibility was repeatedly shifted, and ultimately, the issue was attributed to me for not raising it at delivery, even though the slabs appeared fine at that time. It felt as though once payment was made, accountability ended. When customers pay premium prices, they expect both quality materials and meaningful support if something goes wrong. In my case, that expectation was not met.

This is a big store and you can check out their products online as well…read more Our contractor recommended this place as he has an account there with deep discount that can be passed onto the customers. They have a variety of tile selections and most of them were imported from Italy or Spain which with better quality there's less yield loss, hence you can buy less. Some of the special priced items have longer lead times, so make sure you double check with them. We didn't enjoy the process as much as with other shops because of 3 reasons. First of all, our sales contact was quite unavailable on the weekends or even Friday afternoons, so we had a hard time scheduling with her. But if you just walk in and ask for help from the front desk, they will assign someone to help. The second issue we found was the inconsistency of product introductions. We were worried about slippery tiles in the shower, our sales contact suggested us to focus on the tiles that have a special coating. The second sales person we talked to said the special coating was only for outdoor use, using the gauge lines between tiles is good enough to prevent slipping. Thirdly, after we got the quote, we couldn't place the order into the system with our contractor's discount; only that appointed sales person could do. Luckily we could get the rest of the process done via email and she sent out a link for me to make payment. If you have a Rakuten cash back app and pay online, I think you get the cash back as well.

She stated that she was part of a group of investors who flip houses and that she has spent so much money at the store, so she was entitled to certain things and bypassing rules other customers follow. I have never seen such poor customer behavior and yet Adam (our associate) and Andrew (the manager) reacted calmly and tried to de-escalate the situation despite this entitled customer's tantrum. I, along with other customers, were complimentary of the ability of the associates to keep their cool in spite of the behavior exhibited towards them.
