I had to have scheduled maintenance performed on my RDX. Brady's got me in within a couple of days. They called, as promised, with an estimate which was less expensive than the dealer. My car was ready on time at the price quoted. I also called about a repair to my wife's 2009 BMW, and they honestly told us that they don't do many repairs of the sort that we needed, so we went with the dealer. On 12/02/20, Wednesday, I took my wife's car, Honda Insight, for an oil change and was charged $80.12. I told Tommy that it was too expensive and why? To what he responded, "That's what we charge." He seemed to be bothered by my question so I decided to call the next day and speak with the owner. On 12/03/20, Thursday, I called Brady's Auto Care, and I asked for the owner/manager. The person that picked up the phone said, "That would be me, Tommy." I told him that the oil change price for the Honda Insight was excessive and he told me, "Your car requires synthetic oil and that is what we charge. I do remember you. You brought the car yesterday." I told him, "Does my car require synthetic oil?" He said, "Yes." I told him that he should have told me when I dropped off the car the price of the oil change since it is expensive. This is what he responded, "If a car is brought for an oil change, we do not tell the customer when she drops off her vehicle the price nor do we call her to let her know the price because we "assume" that the customer already knows." He seemed to be bothered by my questions, and so he told me, "I would make a note that when you bring your car for anything at all, that you need to receive a call prior to doing any work on your car." Tommy didn't apologize, nor offered any solution to this problem therefore he will continue to "assume" that the customer already knows the price, and this needs to change. I called Crownsville Automotive in Annapolis, MD, and I was quoted -for the same oil change- $58 which includes taxes and everything else. Stay away from this place! read more

I took a car in to get the safety inspection. I've never had a safety exam where the location I took it didn't find something that they would say need fixed. My personal feeling about this process is that it is nothing more then a trap for most people. This brings me to Brady's. I called early in the AM and asked if they could fit me in. I was told, "bring it in". When I picked it up, it was a perfect inspection! Nothing found! I've mentioned this experience to a number of folks and every reaction has been "Wow"! I got an oil change the other day and the service was kind of rediculous. I didn't feel like a valued customer, more like a burden. I was greeted with a "What do you need?" by someone who I can only compare to Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants. This guy was just not interested in doing anything but getting me out the door. Squidward told me that he'd CALL ME when my car was done. After 3 hours, I called with no answer...twice. I waited another hour and decided to just go back and check on my car. When I walked in, Squidward and another guy where there. I thought maybe the second man would be a little more friendly...Maybe Squids was having a bad day. But no. Same horrible service beginning with Squidward tossing my keys at me on the counter, and walking to the second register. The guy who "helped" me didn't tell me the ammount till I asked, and said only two more things after... "payment?" and "thanks". I mean...i'd hate to bring this in it but... about 30 seconds after they we're helping me a lovely blonde girl walked in and Squidward was all the sudden super happy to be alive, and had great customer service. So maybe I'm just the wrong color to be treated with any respect. I have heard the same from other friends, and family who've taken their cars to Bradys. I wanted to believe the best and sadly I was wrong. The oil change itself was a bit more expensive than any other place I checked, but I went with them because it was very convenient as far as travel distance. Next time, i'd rather just go out of my way to get automotive work done than to go to Bradys. read more

Took my car here for a noise in my tires. Cost me over a grand. When I got my car back I still heard the noise so I call and tell him it's not fixed. I take it back in and they say it's something else. They also say what they fixed needed to be fixed but that wasn't my problem at the time. They ensured me when I picked it up that they checked everything. So how did they miss the problem that I told them that I was having the first time but charge me $1,100? Do not take your car here if you want someone to trust. I had my wife take it while I worked out of town. I should have not let her do that to a place that I have never been. read more

This place was actually recommended to me, so naturally I took my car there when I had a problem with it. First problem with this place is apparent as soon as you walk in the door. Some guy greets you with a "what do you want?" I should have turned around right then. Don't expect to see a smile in this place! Hubs and I dropped it off in the morning and it took almost all day for them to call us back with the problem and quote us their dealer-like prices. They said they would need to order parts and have it for a day to repair. The car was still drivable and Hubs needed the car to get to work the next day, so we would have to plan another time for the repairs. When we came to pick up our car the guy told us that there would be a $47 diagnostics fee. Oh no, they don't tell you that when you drop your car off! The guy gave us an attitude saying, "well, why did you drop your car off then if you don't want to have it fixed?" Well, we do want to have it fixed, just NOT BY YOU! I refused to pay their factitious fee and will be happy to never bother them again. I hope you won't waste your time with these people like I did. Save yourself the headache. I've gotten a quote from another place for the same exact thing and guess what - it's over $300 LESS!!! Thank God I decided to go somewhere else!! read more

They are honest beyond reproach. Today I took them a long list of repairs that another service facility had recommended. After completely inspecting the car, they said that none of them were necessary or even evident. They refused to accept any payment for the evaluation. We are happy to have found Brady's after a few years of poor service (ie. work that had to be redone more than once) at other local shops. We have older cars and have found Brady's to be quick, honest and thorough. They do quality work -- we have never had to bring a car back in to have a fix redone. They are quick and efficient with all work being done in a day and even sneaking us in once because they know families need their minivans. I also think they are very honest.
