I decided to drive one day. Took a hard right when I saw signage for fresh seafood. Pulled over and found this gem. Forgive me for not taking pictures of the inside. But it was a very cute awesome little store. Live crabs were in the tank outside. One side of the store had barbecues and picnic tables. They don't cook it for you, but maybe you could purchase your oysters and cook it yourself. Inside the store, you could buy specialty tuna, fish, oysters, fun, knickknacks, seafood, dips, and order an oyster shot if you had a hankering. I left the store with one $10 can of tuna, fish and olive oil. Small container of crab and artichoke it. The service was super friendly and she put it in a bag of ice for me. The dip was consumed fast when I got home, I forgot to take pictures. But it was a wonderful Parmesan cheese crab artichoke heated up with crackers a perfection Snack. I highly recommend stopping by here. The tuna fish was the best tuna I've had ever. Worth the price tag. They had different flavors as well. If I'm in the area again, I'll save my dollars for more of that. read more

Passed this then decided to turn around and go back. SO glad we did. Delicious chowder ... generous portion they warmed up for us. Husband had 2 oyster shooters. Enjoyed the sunny day and ate on their picnic table. Only wish we were headed to a place with a kitchen instead of a motel. They smoke their fish & seafood onsite. Everything you may wish. read more

After an unsuccessful morning of razor clamming at Twin Harbors Beach, we stopped by Brady's on our way out and we got a dozen oysters and an oyster knife for $20! The price was great and they packaged the oysters very well. We drove 2 hours back to Seattle and there was still plenty of ice left in the bag and our oysters were all still alive and shut. Now, west coast oysters are particularly difficult to shuck, so we did struggle, but each one tasted amazing and fresh! After needing to shuck them on our own though, I think I now understand the price of oysters on the half shell and would gladly pay for them instead of spend hours trying to shuck 12 on my own. read more

My wife and I sampled some of the goods at Brady's Seafood on our trip to the cranberry coast where even the seafood store sells local cranberries. We picked up a pound of cranberries, but I am still unsure how we will use them. Maybe my wife can think of something. In addition to cranberries, we picked got a couple of bowls of clam chowder and a tub of mesquite tuna dip for crackers. Only after I started eating the clam chowder did I realize that I had unknowingly bypassed all the delicious, healthy seafood options (so many types of smoked fish!) for the heavy cream chowder and the mayonnaise dense tuna dip. My mistake. If I return to the area I will probably go with smoked fish and potentially more cranberries. I did appreciate seeing their operations behind the storefront. Not only did we see boxes and nets but also four herons snapping up seafood remnants. read more

While on a weekend getaway at Westport, Washington, we happened upon this wonderful oyster hatchery and fresh seafood seller half way between Aberdeen and Westport. The freshest, sweetest oysters we've had in many years. They have several sizes and varieties ( including fresh Kumamotos) at very reasonable prices. Anita, Noah and the staff could not be more pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. So nice, in fact, that when we said we weren't sure if the AirBnB were staying at had a shucker, instead of trying to sell us one, they let us borrow one for the night which we returned the next day. And because they were so kind, we bought another dozen to take home to Seattle the next day. They also feature colossal shrimp and several fresh fish choices. We enjoyed a succulent steelhead fillet and a calamari steak that was tender and buttery when flashed seared on the grill. If you like fresh oysters and fresh seafood, Brady's is a can't miss. read more

This place has been around since God was a boy. Actually almost 50 years and 3 generations. We weee on our way north up the peninsula and bought clams, fresh ( yes fresh!! As opposed to frozen at a competitors place on the Westport dock) crab and shucked oysters. We have had 3 delicious meals from it. We will be calc there en route southbound in a week for restocking our fridge. read more

My wife and I bought 2 whole crabs yesterday. They shelled them to make 4 halves. Put them into the cooler and brought them back home. When we shelled them, the shells were soft and hardly any meat...mostly puny and stringy. Only 6.4 oz of meat from 2 whole crabs. They are molting. They should know that. I tried calling them multiple times but always get the "busy" signal. Will not be back. read more

The oysters did arrive in good condition, just in time for our son-in-law's birthday (they were a gift). Their customer service was stellar! And of course the oysters were delicious. Bought some crab from them not knowing they are not filled out with meat. Not a peep from them on the state of the crab being empty. OYSTERS!! FRESH!! Must have!! Yeah, ok I dont think anyone is saying these are the best oysters in the world, but most definatley the best in Westport. Very down to earth atmosphere! Fresh tasting and good variety. We have cabing out here so every drive in I pick some good seafood up and on the way home grab a shooter or 2 and pack some stuff to make for dinner that night when we get home. I love the shooters, especially because you get to keep the shot glass. The other seafood items are good but you can get just as good if not better down by the beach. During certain seasons they have some real fresh stuff which is worth trying. ENJOY. read more

32 degrees out, and we're determined to have a seafood "picnic", merely because 1) that's how we roll, and 2) we're in a seafood paradise. We asked our innkeeper for directions to Brady's, and he supplied minutia detail down to the minute (7 minutes north on this road, turn right..., etc). Brady's is not a restaurant, it's an oyster farming business, with a small market, and an in-house smoker for local salmon and other delicacies. Aside from the seafood counter, they have a couple of shelves of related grocery items, like cocktail sauce, crackers, seasoning and a few knick-knacks. Oysters there are damned cheap, compared to restaurant prices, and you can buy them by the pint, gallon, or multi-gallon. They ship, as well. As you probably know, oysters come in a variety of sizes, and having moved up here from the Gulf Coast, we're used to a more diminutive mollusk than are generally available here. The "smalls" in Washington are fairly equal to the largest ones out of Louisiana, and if you want 'reall small" around these parts, you ask for yearlings. The even larger ones are a delicacy in Asia these days, and the US ships a lot of them over there. So we purchased some 'already shucked' oysters, cocktail sauce, crackers, and a slab of smoked salmon to enjoy at the picnic tables outside the market. If you want a strictly oyster vacation, it appears South Bend, WA, is the center of the industry in the area. Lots of processing plants and oyster-centric restaurants. We enjoyed Brady's. We went to Brady's twice last weekend on a trip to Westport. Great smoked and super fresh oysters on the first trip. They were out of live crab, but called us later to let us know a fresh load came in! We picked up three on the way home, and they sent us with plenty of ice, making sure they were packed well. My family walked in, said hello, but two gals behind the counter have yet to acknowledge us. We figured they were doing something and patiently waited. We wait about 10 minutes without any help and the store is completely empty. What was that? I finally proactively ask for help and the only reaction I get is short, rude yes and no's. Be careful with this place. I purchased 5 dozen oysters and drove 45 minutes back to the house only to find out they gave me 3 dozen. Cheated me out of 2 dozen. When I called them and called them out on it, the kid told me to come back out and he would make it right with an extra dozen. Upon arrival again....he said he couldn't. Of course I just had him refund my money at that point for the two dozen. Cheaters, liars and absolute crooks. Last time they will get my business and I certainly hope that anyone reading this review will not give them theirs. read more

I have been to Brady's Oysters twice so far and both times I have been very happy with my visit. This past weekend I had stopped in to try their clam chowder, in the way of text expression: OMG!!! That first spoonful in your mouth tells the whole story. I have tried a lot of chowders (both good and bad) and I have to say that this one was perfect. It had all the right flavors and was perfectly balanced. I also picked up some smoked oysters, one shooter can't beat it with a beer. If you're looking for quality and fresh oysters, definitely stop in Brady's and give them a try. read more

Reasons for going to Westport, WA: surfing, visiting the West Coast's tallest lighthouse still in continuous operation, maritime museum, sport fishing, beaches, whale-watching, and eating Brady's Oysters. This is the best place I've found on the globe for oysters yet. It's a market, but they have picnic tables outside to eat what you've purchased ($10 a dozen). Eaten fresh, right out of the bay, outside in the cold, on a picnic table in 32F weather with cocktail sauce, lemon juice, or horseradish, it's just over the top of awesome. It says this place is located in Aberdeen, WA - but it's not. It's located on HWY 105 on the West side of the bridge right after you pass through the little town of Bay City. Look for the sign. They're open for business everyday of the week!! Name your first born after me later. read more
