Perfect. Exactly what you hope for when you come to a small beach town... no frills, friendly service, down home cooking. Tried it once, and went back for more. The staff are so friendly, the service is top notch, portions are generous, prices are reasonable for the quality, and the food came out quickly and prepared well. I got the crab omelette and it was completely stuffed with crab. So good; I would make a day trip just for that. Blueberry pancake was yummy as well. Hadn't been to Westport for a few years, so decided to spend a few nights at our favorite condo by the ocean for our 37th anniversary. And came here once again for breakfast. This is a great little spot down by the docks that the locals come to for good food and to gab with their friends. Service was very friendly and attentive. Coffee with unlimited refills was $3.50. My wife said her regular wasn't bad, but my unleaded was kind of weak and flavorless. The food was infinitely better than the coffee. My wife ordered the Veggie Omelet ($15.95) and said it was excellent with lots of veggies and gooey, sometimes stringy cheese...spinach, mushrooms, onions, peppers and tomatoes with perfectly cooked hashbrowns (crispy outside, perfectly textured inside) and an English muffin. I had the Big Breakfast Bowl ($13.95) and believe me, it WAS BIG! Has 3 scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and cheese with your choice of meat (lots of bacon pieces for me) covered in homemade sausage gravy. It was incredible! We both had leftovers for our next day's breakfast. I'm glad we don't live closer; I'd be twice my size eating here regularly! Great place. Picked up some food to go on Saturday (5/31/25) morning at 9:45 AM. Got an order of the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, and 2 Breakfast Deluxe Burritos. Took the food to the Westport Marina, so we could eat while catching some Dungeness Crabs! Service was amicable and pleasantly quick. Once at the boardwalks at our crabbing spot, tasted the food. The big Burritos were surprisingly delicious and flavorful! It surely was filling and tasty at the same time! The Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs were pretty tasty as well, just had a tad too much gravy for my preference, though. Food items were cooked perfectly in my opinion and portions were definitely huge! If we come back to do some more crabbing, will definitely visit this restaurant again for our second time. read more

This is a MANDATORY breakfast stop anytime we are in Westport. I mean, there literally is nothing NOT to like! We seem to get stuck on the Corned Beef Hash...it's not the kind we are used to but it's super tasty and well flavored. The coffee is good, which is a bit out of my expectations: so frequently you find a place where the food is good and the coffee is bleh. Or, vice versa. And, the waitresses are SUPER attentive in making sure your cup stays full. And, "super attentive" is really what I'd say ALL the staff is. Friendly, inviting, cheerful...they seem genuinely happy to be serving you! Always worth an extra tip. And, the prices are reasonable, which these days is a big deal. If you are in town, Blue Buoy is a MUST. But, don't be surprised if there's a huge line, particularly on summer weekends. There's a reason for it! read more

Came here for breakfast around 8:45 AM on a Saturday and it was already full inside. The Decour is exactly what you would expect out of a beach town lots of marina, themed and water themed items on the walls. We opted to sit outside which means that your food will be served him to go containers. Ordered within five minutes and got our food about 15 minutes later. We ordered to plan copies, one, Dungeness, crab omelette, one deluxe burrito with green onions and peppers, but without eggs, and a giant cinnamon roll. It's definitely a classic American diner type of restaurant. My husband had been Dungeness crab omelette and said it was tasty. There was lot of crab inside and clearly very fresh. I do not like my breakfast burritos with eggs or salsa and I was so happy that this burrito did not come with the salsa and I was able to remove egg. It was so good, I think I would come back just for the breakfast burrito. The cinnamon roll was less to be desired. The frosting tasted more like plain powdered sugar mixed with water and was totally melted off onto the plate. The cinnamon roll was cinnamon-y, but the dough was bland, I did not eat it. Coffee was mediocre, but I feel like that's every diner's coffee. Considering this is the only real full breakfast place in the area, I can definitely recommend it for a traditional American diner style breakfast. read more

We always come to Blue Buoy when we are in Westport, it's been the same great experience each time. There are definitely locals who are here and that's a great sign in a restaurant. We've come for breakfast and lunch, this time we came for breakfast and knew we were getting crab! They don't skimp on the lumps of fresh crab meat and you feel like you're getting your moneys worth! The service is very quick and attentive and friendly and the banter between the staff and locals is always funny. This is really good comfort food, and that's the reason we come back. If you want to sit outside you have to go in, order at the counter, then tell them you're sitting outside, and pay ahead of time. Because of this I left a 20% tip. They did not deserve it. We ordered ice waters for the whole table and three of the four of us ordered soda. They asked if we wanted the small (no refills) or large (unlimited refills). We all opted for the large, completely unaware that no one, and I mean no one, would be around to refill our drinks. After an absurd amount of time waiting (about 45 min) one of our party went inside with our empty cups and to ask for the status of our food. He was told the food would be right out. Our refills were brought out and dropped off before our food was. When it did come out everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was cold. Our onion rings were burnt, and it was all packed up nicely in to go containers with basically the air of here bye. We didn't ask for to go. We said we were sitting on the patio. The fact they didn't ask provide plates and the such was surprising and also alarming considering the amount of waste we just put in the environment to open up all the to go packaging right there and eat it. I will not be back to this restaurant. The lack of service, lack of consideration for the environment and meh food makes this very low on my list. They retain two stars for the simple fact I didn't witness any health violations. read more

Really neat place to eat in Westport. We stopped in from camping near by and happened to find this place. I had the Cod fish and chips and it was perfect. My wife had a really good Caeser salad. We were needing a hearty lunch before heading home and stopped in at Blue Buoy at my son's request. He LOVES their pancakes. They are huge. He adds Choco chips and whipped cream but also knew a little secret topping from a recent special they were running ;) I'm certain they think I'm crazy but I was overjoyed to see a legit triple decker club sandwich. I was starting to think it was a Canadian delicacy because many restaurants use similar ingredients but not the triple decker. So happy and fond childhood memories...so much so that I didn't feel guilty for overlooking the Marina and not eating seafood! Service was super friendly and fast! The best thing about this place is the knockout view of the marina and the adorable seat otter busily scenting every pebble and blade of grass on the ramp/abandoned deck outside of the windows! The staff members were kind and attentive. We got takeout. The food was partially edible. (Salad was old, wimpy, and hit the can after two bites. I ate a few bites of my sandwich, and that followed the salad.) I really dislike saying this, but the cleanliness is not the best. Walking in you're hit with that unpleasant smell of JR high school cafeteria... the word piney unpleasantness mixed with old cooking grease. The servers were sweet, but all looked like they hadn't showered or changed their clothes in a week. Our table also ordered a crab sandwich and a giant warm cinnamon roll to share. The crab sandwich reminded us of a great grilled cheese sandwich with a lot of fresh crab. The cinnamon roll served with side of butter was the best roll I've tasted, and I've had many good ones. Every bite was warm, chewy, and no skimping in the cinnamon/sugar! It's a pricy place because of the fresh crab, but for us, it was worth it! The French fries with the crab sandwich were so crispy in the outside and soft in the in and didn't have the burn taste that you find in some restaurants. We were staying in ocean shores for a few days and drove over to Westport for a quick lunch before checking out the lighthouse nearby. The dungeness crab omelette is absolutely amazing!! Just packed with crab meat! If you can only get one dish here this would be it! We also got the shrimp Louie salad, oyster shots, and clam chowder to share - those were decent plates.
