I was driving way across town to Henderson for hair cuts every 6-8 weeks to keep it in shape. Yelp lead me to this salon specifically to Angelica, which is only 10 min from my house. She is INCREDIBLE! She is professional, friendly and so talented at cutting & styling hair. The price is insanely reasonable for a cut, wash and blow out. This IS my salon! Booking with them was a cinch. I reached out and quickly got a reply from their booking manager, where we handled all the details (how many people, general style I wanted, how many for hair vs. makeup, etc.). We secured the wedding date and time, and then also set a date for a trial hair and makeup (additional, but I highly recommend doing this to give you a chance to take notes, see it after several hours, and make adjustments to your final look). Katie and Aimee were the hair and makeup dynamic duo for both my trial and wedding day, and they were both so friendly and a breeze to work with! They both treated me like an old friend, and were great with our kids and our mothers. After the trial I had a few notes for hair and makeup, and they made those adjustments for the actual wedding day, and I LOVED my look. One of our daughters was very timid, and they treated her with so much kindness and patience. One of our moms was so nervous (had never done hair and makeup before), and they helped her feel comfortable and find a style that wasn't over the top for her tastes - she was raving the whole night about how amazing she felt and looked! I'm really disappointed with my recent experience. I went in for a haircut and left not realizing…read morethat my hair had been noticeably messed up. What upset me most is that the stylist never mentioned the mistake or tried to address it while I was there. It felt like it was intentionally brushed over and hidden rather than handled honestly. After I got home and saw the issue more clearly, I called to ask why she didn't tell me. She apologized, but when I asked for a refund, I was told it could only be applied as credit toward my next haircut. Unfortunately, that doesn't sit right with me. If I'm unhappy with the service and don't feel confident returning, store credit isn't a solution. It's already hard enough to find reliable, trustworthy services in Vegas, and experiences like this make it even more discouraging. Mistakes happen -- I understand that. But honesty and transparency matter. I would have appreciated her being upfront in the moment so we could've addressed it then. Because of how this was handled, I won't be returning.
