I live in WA state and I've only ever gotten BAD haircuts since the day I moved there. I don't dye my hair or anything special like that. I have been going to Style 5 for many years then stopped going because it was more convenient to get my hair done right around the corner from where I was working, I was not happy and went back to Style 5 (and been a loyal customer again for at least 4 years now). I drive 20 minutes out of my way to have Liza or Cami do my hair. My hair is healthier than it was before, with the advise they have given to help it get as healthy as it can be with the hair coloring I do to it. I could not be happier not just with Liza's hair abilities, but with her complete and utter kindness. Been going to style 5 since my daughter was 3, she's now she's 12 years old. Liza fixed my hair from haircut mishaps to hair color disasters! I don't have easy hair to cut, I have all kinds of natural waves, from loose waves, to tight waves. But gets it right all the time. Now my daughter goes to her for lip, brow waxing, hair cuts and highlights. My daughter will NOT let anyone else touch her hair, lips or brows! The products she uses is fantastic! I am in Las Vegas for vacation and Liza had such good reviews. My hair is brown with blonde hilites but I've been working a lot and haven't been able to schedule an appointment with my regular stylist at home. What a huge mistake. I just wanted my hilites and a trim. I never dreamed she would do such a terrible job on my hair. Her products burned off a large part of my bangs. The color is absolutely awful. It was a sunny blonde with brown. Now, its partly white. Ash blonde in other places and really dark. She let me leave her wreck of a salon with dye all over my face and neck. I expressed my unhappiness and asked for a refund, but she refused. I will have to spend a fortune on a color correction at home. Oh and the trim? She got that wrong as well. Who could mess up a simple trim? Liza. I'm not writing this out of anger, but to protect anyone who may consider her. My hair will be damaged for a long time, the repair costly. Don't let this happen to you. And usually a stylist is interested in you. Not Liza. I had to listen to her life story for over 4 hours including the fact that she has a bogus letter saying she needs an emotional support animal in her salon .She was honest about the fact that she doesn't need her dogs at work. She just wants them there. Save yourself and your hair. Go to a true stylist. Don't let what happened to me happen to you. I'm writing this as a warning. Liza is a great stylist and i've love every haircut she's given me. However, i recently went in for a balayage and came out with streaky splotchy highlights. I wouldn't have minded the highlights if they were good but they were all different colors (gray, blue, orange, blonde). she also did not blow dry my hair completely so i didn't see how splotchy it was until i had already paid & gone home. Once i saw it i was devastated. I ended up rushing to a different salon and stylist to get it fixed (it was fixed and now is a very pretty balayage thankfully). I wish I could give zero stars! I had a 12:00 appointment for a haircut, color and highlights. At 1:50 I was still waiting, why, because Liza (the owner) double booked her appointments. I had 2 phone calls with her the day before and she never told me there would be an issue with my appointment, except for asking me to come in 20 minutes later than my scheduled time. I showed up on time for my appointment and I still had to wait until 1:50, almost 2 hours after my appointment while she did all of her other appointments that were scheduled after my appointment. She did not see anything wrong with me having to wait while she worked every other client while I sat and waited. All I got was I'm almost done honey, I'm so sorry. She could not even remember what I had booked the appointment for on the two phone calls the day before or today when I arrived for my appointment. I had the same haircut for years and I went to all the "chain" hair cutting places around town. Until I found this place. Liza is the person other Hair Stylist need to take notes from. I went in with my "normal everyday" haircut expectation and she promised me she would give me something new. I was super Skeptical. But after she was done my fiancee and I were talking about my hair all day. How awesome it was, how different and it really gave me a new sexy look. I have since gone back about 6 times and every time she gives me a slightly new or sometimes drastically new look. I gotta admit as a country boy I just had mom cut my hair for years and really never knew what styling was or what other options I had. She has gone above and beyond to make sure every single hair is accounted for and styled. she doesn't short you or try to hurry through. She makes you feel like you matter. She goes much further than anyone else in making sure it's perfect when you leave. I am beyond myself. I just think she doesn't charge enough. She is very affordable for the quality you get. Be sure to tip her if your happy with your service. There is just not enough of these "caring" hair stylists or just good honest people in this town these days.
