Hands down the best customer experience I have ever had. I am traveling across country from VA to CA for Christmas in a 40' RV towing a Jeep. Somewhere between Midland TX and El Paso, the Jeep drivers side front brake caliper failed in a dramatic fashion causing the wheel to lock up intermittently at highway speeds. Once discovered, I pulled into a campground in Las Cruces, NM and began the search for service. After two wasted calls to businesses that were booked for weeks and would not even try to fit me in, I called Brake Masters (#200). Jeremy took my call, immediately setting the tone for a positive experience and had me bring it in. Very shortly after arrival they brought it in the service bay and quickly evaluated the extent of the damages. From the moment Jeremy answers the phone, you feel welcomed as a customer. I took my 2012 toy rav4 in for brakes. They did the free inspection and found I did indeed need front brakes. They also found a few other items. No pressure to get anything done, more on the recommendation side. We looked stuff up and decided what they suggested was worth it. My husband got a life time warranty on his rotors, brake pads. Took it to them on Saturday, they called today to tell him he needs new rotors and pads. They gave him a quote on the cost. He asked about his warranty and they told him that the warranty doesn't cover those items. What was the point in getting a warranty if they don't or won't honor it. It is against the law to let a car leave a shop if the tires are too worn out. And they aren't supposed to let a car leave with bad brakes. Well he has bad brakes and they let him take his car. They break laws, don't honor warranties, and gets the inside of your car dirty. I do not recommend Brake Masters to anyone, unless you want to be ripped off read more

I took my car in for a check engine light. I was told it would take until the next day to diagnose the problem. The next day I received a text indicating the diagnosis. I went into the shop and was told it was a bad coil cap and the car needed spark plugs? I understood the coil malfunction, but spark plugs, not so much. I agreed to have the coil replaced and agreed to changing the spark plugs. The quote was specially for $423 plus tax. I agreed to that price. When I went to pick up the vehicle the price was $593.06. When I questioned the amount I was told the quote did not include the "Diagnosis". So apparently, a Quote is not for the entire fix. Just what they want you to hear. Bad Business Practices and one that will cost them my business forever. read more

These guys blackmailed my poor gramma. She had her new tires put on elsewhere and came to Brake Masters for an alignment. First, these guys messed around with things that were not related to the alignment, resulting in a broken window sensor- which they didn't fix. Then gave my grandmother a list of $1300 recommended repairs. When she told them she couldn't afford that and only needed what she came in for, they refused to touch her alignment unless she agreed to pay the high price tag. Shame on y'all!! Absolute thieves. This gentleman and his crew are nothing but the most honest, kind, and hardworking fast crew ever. If they can fix it they will honest with they're labor and prices , he has never let is down it's like talking to my son . I called him yesterday because if the towing issue we had wit urenas towing and how they where so rude he was so kind to hear me out . I just didn't want him recommending anyone to these people . They are both exemplary representatives of service excellence in the repairs done on my truck! From the initial greeting and estimations to the explanations and direct viewing of the problems, both of them are obvious experts who go the extra mile in customer service insuring the customer understands the problems discovered and associated costs involved. I was very impressed with how Juan offered different cost options making sure I understood each implication of the choices that I made. Jeremy likewise showed me all the parts replaced and thoroughly explained how they affected the performance of my vehicle. Actually zero stars. !!! I called on Monday to see if I could bring my SRX in for the "Free Brake Check" I was told it could take a couple of hours but if I got there early on Tuesday they shud be able to get it checked out right away so I brought it in before 8 am on Tuesday T. The guy behind the counter (I didn't get his name) was extremely rude he said can do a visual check of my brakes but I needed to leave my car I said I will wait he said it could take a long time wow why tell me to bring it early. Then he said you will probably need new brakes since the peddle is going down further than normal even without a brake inspection this guy must be a true genius!!! The actual manager came in and I ask him to give me my fob (key) back I'll take my car to another brake repair shop so I left. I stopped by Brovo Cadillac asked them to check my soft key brake Maro pumped the brake adjusted a couple of things measured my pads and said I was good to go. I was there less than an hour. Folks, please take heed and beware!! I read all the negative reviews but saw a coupon for Oil Change for a good price. Made appointment online. When I went in, I was greeted by a rude guy behind the desk. No smile, no "Hi! what can I do for you". Looked like he was in a bad mood at 3:00 p.m. First he lets me know the online appointments don't show or doesn't work. Then he can't give me any idea how long it will take, he says maybe 3 hours at the least. So I ask about the coupon special and he looks as if he doesn't want to accept it then tries to upcharge me for the synthetic oil and says he can't use the coupon. Taking my business to Baird Automotive. They serviced my car the last time. For a few dollars more, I will have experts, respectful service from guys who know what they are doing and give you full explanations BEFORE and AFTER they service your car. read more

I want to start out by saying very good overall experience. Everyone was nice, friendly, and open. All my questions were answered and I had a TON lol. I do not know alot about cars. The outside and inside were both clean with plenty of chairs. EVEN had a TV and coffee which alot of car shops I have been to do not. I went in to get my brakes checked. They are LOUD and grinding. The price was very reasonable if I would have done the service and they match competitors. Front was 50 and back was 60. I do not know what the numbers mean all I know is he said when they hit 70 or higher to replace them. I can not believe they were honest as MOST car shops are not. He said the noise could be just from old pads ( 2009 Nissan Altima ) or everything being very very dirty. He quoted me the price to clean everything or just replace the brakes. Also my serpentine belt was bad so I had that replaced for $101.99 with tax included which I could not find cheaper anywhere! CONS : Bathroom did not have any soap but was clean. The wait was over 2 hours but this is kinda my fault for going on a Monday when that is there busiest day. Thry could not say for sure what was causing the noise in my brakes. OVERALL : I would rate them very good. The thing that earned my respect and that will make me a life long customer is there HONESTY. That man could have lied and said the brakes need replacing but he did not. And he upsold me on something I already knew that needed to be replaced which was the belt. One word of advice at ANY CAR SHOP. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ASK TO LOOK AT THE OLD PART THEY ARE REPLACING AND MAKE THEM PROOF OR SHOW YOU ITS BAD. AND ASK TO LOOK AT THE OLD AND NEW PARTS AFTER THE NEW HAS BEEN INSTALLED. I will be returing here for sure!! read more

I needed new brakes on my car and I was trying to decide between Brake Masters and Pep Boys, which is directly across the street. At the time, the Yelp review was slightly better for Pep Boys, so I called them. First I reached an automated system and then I was transferred three times only to be put on hold. All this, only to find out if I could bring in my car for new brakes. Fed up, I hung up and immediately called Brake Masters. A real person answered the phone and told me to come in. He also said they could have my car done that day, which was important to me. After dropping it off, I received a call in less than an hour with a diagnosis and we scheduled a time for when it would be ready. My car was ready on schedule and the brakes are amazing. My car has not braked this smoothly since it was a brand new car...and even then, I'm not sure if it was so smooth. I am so happy with their service, product and above all, their professionalism. I have to say I'm so disappointed!! My mom had her brakes "fixed" here. Well I should I say ruined! They charged almost $3,000 for giving my moms car back worse than when she took it in. They definitely took advantage of her. Plus my dad called corporate to let them know what was going on and they said, "they did what they were supposed to do." My mom took it back to get what they " fixed" fixed again and they told her it wasn't their fault, but they would fix it for $400.
