James is one of the worst manager I have ever encountered. Lisa, the Assistant Manager was great! The totality of this situation just happened 5/04/26 at 3:41pm at this location. I barely drive my car. It is a 2020 Nissan Rogue and has less than 46,000 miles on it; I purchased brand new in 2020. I got my oil changed at this location on 03/16/26 and was told I also needed an alignment which I had done. There was a techniciaon who was very unprofessional and rude to me when I asked about the tire pressure on my car. His name was Jesse. On 03/25/26 my car made screeching noises and smelled like burnt metal and shut down. Had to get the car towed as it would not move. Lisa, the Assistant Manager, waited for over 2 hours after close for me to get the car towed and she drove me home. Lovely woman! I was told the differential exploded and would need to be replaced. On 4/03/26 I got a new differential and my right side sensor replaced. Total cost $4,124.42. The new differential has a warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles. The week of 4/20/26 I heard a noise similar to when the differential exploded. Wasn't able to to take the car into this location until 4/30/26. I had driven the car 185 miles in that 3 week span since the differential was fixed. James was helpful at the time saying they want to make sure I am happy. The car was diagnosed on 5/01/26 that the engine mounts and drive line has movement, front suspension lower control arms are starting to tear, struts need to be replaced and it would cost $3,676.16 (not including struts) as the differential exploding may have put strain on the other parts of the car. I asked why these issues were not brought to my attention when I had the oil change or when the differential was replaced? James said "we fixed the issue that was the differential." I called my father, 35 years in the car business including a service manager, and he suggested I get a 2nd opinion from Nissan and that this seems like a cover up. I got my car from Brake Masters on 5/02/26 and immediately drove my car to ABC Nissan Dealership and it was left with them. On 5/04/26 I was sent video and pics with proof the differential was not installed correctly AND the axle was also not installed correctly and not safe to drive as it is not "attached to anything." I called Brake Masters corporate office 5/04/26 at 12:34pm and left a message requesting the name of a corporate manager or district manager. James from this location called me at 12:51pm asking if I was trying to get a hold of him. I told him I would come in around 3/3:30 to discuss next steps. I went to this location on 5/04/26 around 3:30pm and James was pleasant, until I said I'm recording this conversation for my father's review and for clarity. He did not initially object. Me: If a tech incorrectly diagnoses or replaces something what is the procedure of correction? How is that fixed? James: First of all I do not want to be recorded. Me: why not....why can't you just answer the question...it's not for me personally, I just want to know what the company policy is directly. James: It wasn't a missed diagnostic. It was more noises you were looking for. I did not stop recording this conversation. James went on to tell me in so many words that Nissan's diagnostic doesn't matter and neither do the pictures and videos Nissan provided, they did not need to recalibrate the differential (a Google search proved his statement was incorrect) and they were just looking for the noise according to what I asked for. James told me he was done. He got offended that I was "accusing him of not fixing his car" to where I responded "I am not personally accusing you, I'm accusing Jose as he was the technician who worked on my car" I called my father to talk to him. James touched my phone and I said "please do not touch my phone it's on speakerphone" and James said again he is done and "to leave his store" and walked out to the service bays. I called Brake Masters corporate office again 520-512-0000 at 5:08pm and once again left a message for a district manager or some other manager to call me back to fix this situation. read more

I brought my 2015 Chrysler 200 in for serious safety issues: my car was shutting off while driving, the battery light came on, the brakes got stiff, and it displayed "Shift to Park" while I was still in motion. These are not minor problems -- they put me at risk, and I expected the shop to take it seriously. Instead, I was dismissed. I was told "nothing was wrong" with my car, even after multiple attempts to explain what was happening. I gave them permission to keep it overnight to properly diagnose the issue. The next day -- with no update from them -- I called to ask what was going on, only to be told vaguely that they were "still investigating." When I showed up in person, I found out my car wasn't even there. I was told someone had been gone with it for over 30 minutes, and the employee helping me admitted he may be on the side of the road with my car and wasn't answering his phone. I was never informed it was being taken off the lot, I wasn't asked for permission, and no one had a clue where my car was or what the status was. When I raised concern about this, I was met with sarcasm, blame-shifting, and zero accountability. The staff claimed they never made that comment -- despite the fact that I had a witness on the phone call who heard everything. Not only did they waste my time and gas, but they completely mishandled my property and then tried to gaslight me about it. I left with no answers, no respect, and a worse experience than when I arrived. This shop is unprofessional, disorganized, and showed no concern for my safety or my vehicle. I do not recommend them to anyone -- especially women who are just trying to be taken seriously I didn't even receive an invoice, inspection sheet, or diagnostic report -- because I was so disrespected and ignored that I walked out. Edit- Since the review, the store manager had reached out and wanted to make things right. Jeff Martucci reached out to the company they purchased their parts from and got them warrantied and in turn were able to honor their lifetime warranty for the booster. I appreciate that Brake Masters were able to make things right by having their work and parts they used replaced free of charge. *In September of 2022, I took my project silverado in to get the booster and master cylinder changed out and some bleeder screws that were stuck not allowing me to bleed the brakes. I spent over $1,000 in September of 2022 so I can have peace of mind that my brakes would work having professionals work on them, so I thought. Fast forward to my recent visit. It is now January of 2024, one year and four months from having my booster and master cylinder replaced. I mostly have my truck sit until I can buy parts to upgrade slowly but surely so I don't take it out for a spin as much as I would like. I have only put just above 1k miles since the booster and master cylinder have been replaced and as I was finally going to take it out for a spin, I noticed the brake pedal sunk to the floor and as I put the truck into gear the truck rolled freely with the brake pedal fully applied. I thought maybe the parts Brake Master may be faulty and checked under the hood. Sure enough, there is a leak coming from the master cylinder and the booster is hissing letting me know it's on its way out. I thought Brake Master was a good company and would help me out with parts and labor they provided that did not last longer than a 1,500 miles for something that should last A LOT longer than that. I was incorrect. The mechanic and the receptionist told me that the company I bought the part from, the warranty only lasts a year. I bought the service from Brake Master so Brake Master bought the part, not me. They wanted to charge me to replace their own faulty parts and poor workmanship. Why in the world would I pay someone more money to fix what they couldn't fix the first time? I will NEVER do business with this company again and recommend every single person I know to do business elsewhere. This company is money hungry and has no compassion or understanding for hard working people who pay for services to be done right. This company should be ashamed of themselves for practically stealing money knowingly and does nothing to mend their wrongs. You have lost a customer for life and hopefully more people's eyes are opened to your deceitful and corrupt ways. read more

First, I was greeted poorly by the lady at the front desk, she quoted 49.95 for an oil change. I said no no thank you, I think I'll just go to a different location as I've yet to pay this for a basic oil change. She insisted and told me the MOST I'd pay was 49.95 "depending on how much oil I use"?? I've never heard of that before, but because I TRUSTED BrakeMasters for all of my cars service needs I figured why not... I waited almost 1.5 hrs at the restaurant across the street and as I came out I saw my car still has not moved from where I parked it. The service is slow and the customer service was worse- I ask how much longer and was told maybe another 10-15 minutes, as I came in I saw she finally handed off my keys to the serviceman. When my car was finally ready, my total came to 57.64! It's frustrating because I could have had a faster service at ANY OTHER location for an oil change AND I was quoted something different! She told me my Fuel rail needs to be replaced, and as I asked for clarification she said "I just told you" this is the worst experience I've ever had at BrakeMasters. Very nice staff. They let me know exactly what was wrong with my car and helped me out a lot today. Definitely recommend this place.

I have used Maricopa Brake Masters for some time and always found them to provided good service, however, the last couple of interactions with them has left me very less than satisfied. 1st, let's start with the battery needing replacement over $200 that only lasted weeks. Emergency roadside service charged $250 to replace the battery again. This I could over look with maybe a bad batch of batteries. 2nd, they said we needed front break pads at $700 but since replacing them they squeak at low speed stops. Asked them to fix them properly but never fixed the noise. 3rd creaking noise from the suspension system and a quote of $2500 for front strut replacement. After replacing them the noise dissipated (never gone) for about a week then came back again. Told them about the noise again and got a blank stare. 4th, the front driver side headlamp needed adjustment and they said they couldn't work on them even though they replaced the passenger side headlamp. They suggested to take it to the dealer but instead I went to the service shop down the street and they fixed it. While there they looked at the suspension creaking noise and said the new struts were definitely defective and needed to be replaced. They recommended taking it to Brake Masters for warranty. Back at Brake Masters on top of the suspension problem they said I needed an $1100 tune up which they did (hopefully) . Not quite sure how that's related to a suspension problem(?). Next they had me drive it to their shop for 3 days in row to try and fix the suspension problem and never did. 2 of the days it never moved from where I parked it. Bottom line for me and wish I could say otherwise about Brake Masters was a lot of a costly "not" repairs that never worked and was performed by incompetent service staff. read more

Manager quoted me a price through the phone for brake pads and rotors, I gave him my vin. He said he had the parts in stock and he could get it done. I came into the shop and they pulled in my car and checked out the front pads and rotors. He then came back and quoted me $900 for a brake job that he said wouldn't be over $400. He then said IM NOT GOING TO WASTE MY TIME WITH YOU. Never coming back to this place. The funny thing is I went to another brake masters and they did the job for $275. I was recommended through a friend to take my car here after I recently experienced a car accident. I was lucky enough to not have a totaled car, and what seemed like a few things needed repair/replaced. I had been in contact directly with James for a few days before finally sending my car over to get a quote back from him. I was able to finally deliver it there on this last Thursday night, and very first thing Friday morning after they opened up James was calling me to let me know the quote for the damages on my vehicle! It was a lot more than I was expecting but I was glad that the shop also had options for financing as that eased my worries! Due to the damages I was also honestly expecting the repairs and replacements to take at least a couple of days, I have never been in an accident like this before so I was trying to prepare for worst case scenario. However James let me know they would have it ready for me by the end of the day, and him and his team really put in the work and had it ready for me right before they were closing up shop! I am extremely grateful for the services, hospitality, and hard work that they all put in. I'll definitely be back to get a few things repaired/replaced!! It's a great experience,it really is I has a car emergency in the middle of my job so I drove slow to the place and they got me in right away fixed what I asked them to fix and I was done. Never once did they say well you need this that and the other to be fixed as well . No they jest fixed what I as them to fix and that's it . O also they gave me a good price on the work bring done ! I asked if it would be done in 3 hours because I had to go to work and the front desk guy was not happy about that and said it wouldn't even be seen by then. So I'm writing this review cause my oil light came on today after getting the "oil change special" probably about a month ago. I've driven probably about 1,100 miles since then and I find it rather strange that it came on. I'm pretty frustrated because of that and found that when I checked my dip stick my oil had been completely depleted. I don't have any leaks and it's not hot right now.. so thanks for giving me a quart of oil for $25. This is bullshit and really dangerous when I'm on the freeway with my child. I've been here twice and they have always been extremely nice. I hate going to mechanics, as a female I have experienced being ripped off and been talk to like I don't know anything. The first time I had someone drop it off for me Bc of that reason but when I went to pick it up they were pleasant and friendly. They had done an oil change, filled all the fluids, and replaced the tie rods and got me in without an appointment and was done that same day, which was fantastic! This time around I made an appointment and went in myself, just a simple oil change. James took care of me, let me know that they were a little behind schedule which didn't bother me because I had other things to do. They called me when they were done, (it was about an hour and a half) I was just finishing up my errands so it was perfect timing! James let me know what the mechanic recommended as far as other services and I didn't feel pressured in having to take care of them right away, which is refreshing. I didn't think much of it but the leak continued and so I took it to another mechanic, the mechanic said wherever I had my oil change (Brake Masters) they broke the seal and tried to glue it instead of telling me or replacing it. Googled a good cheap oil change nearby and Brake Masters came up. Went inside at 10:07am and asked for a quick oil change. The guy was very very nice and he told me it would take about 20 mins and offered to rotate my tires as well. At 10:20 they were done with the tire rotation AND oil change! 13 mins! Paid about $70 for full synthetic & rotation. He also applied a coupon for me. Great customer service and very fast. Definitely going for my routine oil changes. read more

I came to this location a few years ago because I thought I might need new brakes. Turns out I did not. Appreciated the honesty; really, you don't find that much these days. So when I did need brakes, I brought it here. And was satisfied with the work. A couple days ago I got in my car and my brakes had to be pushed to the floor! I called this location and talked to James who told me a couple things to check first in the event I didn't need to bring it in. I did need to bring it in and they fixed the problem in a timely fashion, and at a reasonable cost. You know what I especially appreciate about this Brake Masters? Every time I have dealt with anyone here - they don't talk to me 'like a girl'. They don't talk over your head and they don't try to pressure you into anything. In my lifetime I've had multiple mechanics talk to me like I don't even know what a steering wheel is, because I'm 'a girl and wouldn't know anything about cars'. Seriously, I had a guy ask me once if I had gas in the car. I'm no mechanic, but, thanks to my dad, I do know a few things about vehicles. So thank you for treating me with dignity.
