I took my car in to see Charlie at Eagle Auto Repair in Phoenix, having been told by a friend that he is an honest mechanic. The guy did not disappoint! He did a thorough diagnosis of my car, found things that my last mechanic missed, and even called a specialist to be sure he was 100% accurate in his assessment. He explained that it would be too expensive of a repair for what the car is worth, and it wouldn't hurt the car or be unsafe if I kept driving it. He didn't charge me a nickel. When your truck starts rattling, you start thinking big issues and big costs. Took my Ram 1500 over to Eagle today for an inspection.... and was delighted to hear that it was just a few loose bolts.... and was further delighted when they tried to get me to leave without a fee for their time. Taking my Rav4 to an auto shop is probably one of my least favorite things about owning a vehicle. It can be uncomfortable walking into a shop as a young female, never knowing if you're going to get ripped off or how they are going to treat you. I've NEVER had a good experience with an auto shop until I found Eagle Auto Repair. Charlie and the guys there are friendly, genuine and above all respectful. I've never felt uncomfortable or oversold. In fact, the last time I was there was to replace my battery - to help drive down the cost, they recommended I pick one up from O'Reilly and then bring the part to them, and said that if I checked in on Facebook they'd honor a 10% discount. I've taken my Rav4 there several times, and each time they make repairs quickly, they offer recommendations on what to do now vs what can wait, and they communicate well and in a timely manner. People here don't live up to their word . They break appointments and waste your time . Very poor customer service.

How about a negative star rating? This place is sketchy with a capital S! The shop owner offers a better price on repairs for cash money payments but you have to push for a receipt for them. Add in to that, if you pick up your car after 3:30pm, everyone's drinking beer on the shop floor. To add to the utter sketchiness, I also apparently paid for several repairs ($$$) that another repair shop is now telling me were not made. If you do not know about cars or auto repair, you will definitely be taken advantage of at Eagle Auto. I would never trust this place again! Beware! read more

This is our go-to auto shop. The mechanic is very honest and loves to help YOU! We tell everyone to use him because if he already has a part that will work on your vehicle, he won't charge you an arm and a leg. And he always does the job quickly and with a high level of craftsmanship. My whole family goes here now and I'm so glad we were able find someone so good so near our house. "OMG.... I fell out of my chair laughing after I called 3 DIFFERENT valley Nissan Dealerships looking for an honest quote. I called in for a problem for my Nissan Frontier truck and explained to each Service Rep the Check Engine Code and I got 3 DIFFERENT prices and 3 DIFFERENT days (it was more like..we can't get you in for 2-3 weeks) that I could bring in my truck. The price varied between $465+tax to almost $800 for the SAME job. As a female, I am always apprehensive in having to call for auto repairs knowing that we always seem to get treated like we are ignorant in knowing about cars or what a fair price is. Charlie King was very upfront and honest about his price and when the job was finished... it was exactly the price he originally quoted. $275. Ladies... if you want an auto shop that will treat you right and give you a fair price.. I would definitely recommend Eagle Auto Repair. My neighbor referred me to this shop, I had decided to do some major repairs and keep my car instead of selling it. The dealer service dept. had given me an astronomical quote. This Shop did the repairs for almost half the price, and my car is running great. There's no fancy showroom, but everybody was so nice and I had price shopped, they beat the others, hands down. I would not recommend any work to be done by this garage . Have a Diesel engine in a jeep liberty that was rebuilt at eagle auto Phoenix AZ and after less than 3000 miles it spun a bearing and needs rebuilding . They will not cover it under warranty . Dave Louis the owner said they will not cover it . Even though the garage rebuild the engine they will not stand behind there work . Shitty business practice I say . There warranty goes through The napa auto care group which does not cover internal engine parts . Eagle automotive did not even know this . IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS SHOP MAYBE LOOK ALCE WARE. . Infiniti quoted us $360 to replace the rear differential pinion seal on my wife's G-35. Charlie and the guys at Eagle Auto had it repaired in a couple of hours and charged only $183. They have also done repairs on my 4-Runner in the past and I've always been pleased with the work and pleasantly surprised by the price. read more

I have a 66 Ford pickup that recently just stopped running. I had two different mechanics tell me that the engine was seized. I don't know much about engines but I believed it was true, the fan wouldn't turn and I read enough blogs that supported that theory. So, I was looking at a new engine, at least 3000.00 or so o was told. I had a really good luck with this shop with a few other vehicles so I decided to stop in and ask the owner , Charlie for his advice. He was completely honest and told me he couldn't be sure without taking a look. I finally got it towed to his shop and within a few hours he called and told me the good news, it was the starter , jamming up the flywheel. That's my interpretation of it:) Anyway, it was nowhere near 3000.00 and I drove off knowing without a doubt that I could trust this guy and his employees completely. Being young and a woman, I was nervous about getting taken advantage of and being charged to fix things that didn't really need fixing. They explained in detail what was wrong with my vehicle and why it should be corrected or fixed. They even helped me prioritize which things needed fixing first and why. Finally! I have found an honest mechanic in the valley! Charlie gave me a quote and stuck to that price! Even after he realized my vehicle need more work than the original quote! Repairs were often completed on the same day. Once I took my car in at 4:00 pm and they had it done by 10:00 am the next day. Prices are better than at least three other valley repair shops. We have had our A/C worked on by Eagle Auto in three cars so far. Next is a full tune-up. Overall, I wish I could add more stars! read more

very good customer service, qiuck and attentive to my auto needs, i am very very happy and my 2 new borns and wife is also very happy with the timely manner the work was completed in and how nice and honest the gentleman was that fixed my A/C my heater was not turning off i had no A/C at all which is definatly not good in AZ and i tried everything my friends and i could think of since we are a bit mechanicly inclined with the nessasary tools we just could not figure it out after much reaserch, so i brought my car to eagle auto repair after calling in advance and he fixed my issue with in a matter of minutes after the described simptoms i had with my VW and the price was more than reasonable in my opinion, i am in my late 20's and am out of a job currently so that should tell you how much money i am not working with to spend on repairs, the mechanics at eagle auto repair are very knowledgable at what they do and very nice and very honest i have been to many many auto shops in the past and have had many different cars and trucks and havent had such great service and luck as this auto shop/mechanics, my VW is fixed thanks to eagle auto repair, thanks for helping me out when i realy needed it, i will definatly be back for all my auto needs thanks and GOD BLESS! read more
