A representative came to my house to look at the trees I wanted trimmed and provide an estimate. After a couple of days I hadn't gotten the estimate so I called the office. I spoke with a person who said they would make sure that I got the estimate. It never came. What a waste of my time. read more

David Schmidt does not own an ISA license as Arizona requires to be a legitimate licensed arborist. David uses on his stationary an ISA license that is not his license. This license is owned by an individual who is not a member of the company. Is he insured? who knows; think of your liability in case of an accident prior to hiring this company. There are plenty of LEGITIMATE and reputable arborists in Arizona David did not show up at the appointment claiming he had tripple booked his calendar. read more

I set an appointment for Thursday morning at 11:00 am. At 11:10 am, they call and say they are very behind, and want to reschedule. Well first, I think they knew they were behind before 11:00 am, but waited to call until they were late. Then they offer two times for an appointment, and I chose Friday at 9:00 am. They no call/no show. I saw a couple of other reviews where they didn't show or call, but mostly good reviews. So I thought, I'll give them a try and not listen to the minority. Well in this case, listen to the minority, they are right. This company does business as no call/no show. Too bad, it seems to be a challenge to find arborists who work the West Valley/Peoria/Glendale area. But I will not use this company. read more

A gentleman came out to give me an estimate on trimming a palm tree shortly after I called. He knew exactly what kind of tree it was, which was unusual, and even texted Dave a picture. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional. We agreed on a price and that was the last I heard from him. I called a week or so later and he said he had been ill, but had scheduled my tree for the following Wednesday. They didn't show up or call. Called again twice and got no call back. Hired a different company. Very odd business behavior. read more

My neighbor had some trees trimmed and was happy with their work so he gave me this company's business card. I called and requested a quote to trim/shape two citrus trees in my back yard. Albert (manager) came out, gave assurances that they could do a great job, and quoted a reasonable price. I scheduled it with him for a week later and they "no showed". I called and talked to someone who had no idea why they did not show. She said the work would be rescheduled for a week later. Again, a "no show". I called again (I am a little slow!). They assured me that Albert would call me back to schedule a good time to do the work. I waited another week, then called again, and was told Albert would call me that afternoon! Again crickets. Finally I had to close up the place and head back up north. I still need the work done and heading south this week but will definitely not use (nor recommend) these guys. read more

I wrote a review several years ago and was told today that Yelp removed it since it did not appear I was a direct customer of this fraudster. I DID use this company and advise everyone to NOT use it. I can only assume the owner complained about my review and Yelp found some obscure rule to remove it. For Yelp, I hired this company and have the canceled check to prove it. I've had regular gardeners trim my trees and they looked better than the botched job David did. He's a crook and will charge you 10X what the job should cost. Here is my original review: This is a business run out of someone's apartment (google the 7950 E Starlight Way Ste 128 Scottsdale, AZ 85250 address) and it lacks any hint of professionalism. David is slightly unbalanced and what other posters have said about his behavior is true. There's no dealing with him in a professional and sane way if anything goes wrong and he turns on you, the customer, in a desperate need to prove you're the problem. Worse part, I suspect the accreditations are bogus and he uses those to substantiate high prices. There are a LOT of tree companies in Phoenix. ... do yourself a favor and keep looking. read more

Don't hire this company. They don't even have people who work there answer the phone. It's an answering service. That's not the worst of it. They are extremely unreliable. It took several days before anyone got back to me after leaving a message. I had an appointment and the person was a no show not once but twice. I got no phone call or text telling me they couldn't make it. I guess they don't need the business. And even if they are busy they could at least given me the courtesy of letting me know that they were not coming. David came out to my house and did an estimate on approximately 5/15/12. He told me one price, we negotiated, but then he left an estimate for a price different than what was discussed via telephone. He told me he would call me to schedule. The next time I heard from David was on 5/30. He called me and cryptically stated "Did you cut your tree". I explained I had and that not only did he provide me a different price on the written estimate, but never called to schedule. He began to yell at me for hiring someone else. I hung up on him. He then called me back and continued to go off on me. I told him that his actions were creeping me out and that the tree is done so it is irrelevant. I find it extremely unprofessional, and really pretty scary, that this man not only has driven by my house to check up on the work (before even calling to schedule) but also that he would call me and conduct himself this way. read more

I wish I had read the reviews on yelp before contacting this company. I called to schedule appointment for a bid. I never got scheduled. Yesterday I come home from work to find a bid by my front door (we are a gated community) and it included our front and back trees (our backyard door is locked). I call today to know why he stopped by without an appointment and to ask how he got into my backyard???? He stated my neighbor let him in and climbed a wall to see our backyard..... I find this scary and creepy so I asked them to not stop by our home again and I will look for a different company. I have to be clear I did not get their services so I can not speak to that but I just did not get a good feeling from the way they come to your home when you are not there. read more

We had a tree that began growing in a really weird angle which turned into a safety issue for our neighbors. Unfortunately, the tree had to come down. I made contact with Branch Management and spoke with Theresa. She was fantastic to work with! Theresa first worked with me on scheduling my free quote. After agreeing upon the quoted price (which was a very fair price), we were able to schedule the removal the very next day; talk about prompt! The morning of the removal, I did have a last minute request which Theresa and crew were able to accommodate with no problem. After the job was done, I came home from work to inspect the area and it looked as though nothing was ever there. The Phoenix monsoons a few weeks ago really did a number on my yard. After one of my small trees in my backyard snapped in half, one of my dogs hurt himself (thankfully it wasn't anything terrible). I stayed at a relative's house in Scottsdale over the weekend, and Saturday morning, I was backing the car out of the driveway to head to breakfast and barely nudged two small trees that are right at the exit of the driveway and front lawn. I didn't think much of it until I got out of the car and saw they were uprooted. I leveled them myself and went about my business. When we got back to the house, they were hunched over even more than before. I found this tree company only a couple miles away and the tree was replanted and staked so it stays level. I had been using an arborist for the past year. Two large palms were looking very bad and yet I was told to just leave them alone for now. My gardener then checked one of the trees and determined it was sick. I immediately called Branch Management Tree Service and spoke with Dave. He came out within three days. He instantly diagnosed both palms and said they had a fungus. A large portion of my lemon tree was damaged my a neighbors falling tree so I had Branch Management come out to take a look. They came out the following day, gave me a quote which I accepted, then did the work 2 days later. Linda in the office was a pleasure to deal with and Margarito, who did the work was wonderful. In less than an hour he'd re-shaped the tree, fertilized and cleaned up. Dave was able to identify the problem with our trees and successfuly treat them. He also advised us on what to do with our hedgeline. We followed his advice and he fertilized it. The initial contact and multiple tree and plant treatment was satisfactory however one of my citrus trees started dropping leaves after the treatment and a return visit was required. It is now one week later and, despite MULTIPLE return visit promises, there has been no real attempt to come by, personally assess the problem and fix it! And my large orange tree continues to remain in stress and drop leaves. FYI, I have now scheduled another company (at added cost) to come out and correct the problem. What a shame; what started out as a very good service was destroyed by a total lack of needed follow-up. read more

I wish this story had a different ending. Branch Management came out to treat a large palm tree that had fungus. The treatment did not help, and even after continuous emails and phone calls for many months, I could not get them to come back to check the tree. It was one of a pair of very large palm trees by the pool, and it had to be chopped down when it died. It looks funny not having two trees, but it will be too expensive to try to plant another large palm there. This could have been prevented if they had ever responded. read more

Low bids to get the job then blames the customer because it's not going as expected. David the owner mentioned numerous times that he's been in business for 35 years but didn't finish the job. David is very reasonably priced compared to other tree removal companies and was able to get the job done quickly! We were impressed with the timeliness of the job.
