The egg was overcooked and lost most of it's runniness, and the hollandaise sauce was a little on the bland side. I think if the egg was cooked right and then sprinkled a little old bay on top it would really enhance the dish overall. The dish came with home fries which were exactly what you would expect. Right now rated a 4.1 on my Beli. I can't say I would recommend that you run here, but if you are in the area looking for some classic diner food, then this is a decent option.

Cowboy burger has an onion ring, two thick-sliced tomatoes, a piece of lettuce, and crispy bacon. I asked for the barbecue sauce on the side. Plenty of terrific fries came with my burger. My coworker had the turkey club and said it was delicious. Neighbors on our sides had cheesteaks that looked -- and they said tasted -- amazing. This is a popular spot at lunch and sometimes, like today, there's a slight wait for a table but it's worth it. Now, years later, my wife and I would pass by the new 81 diner and would always say we needed to try it. We'll, today was the day. We stopped in for lunch, and aside from a gentleman waiting for his to-go order, we were known as the customers. I guess not a lot of people eat at 3 in the afternoon. The atmosphere was very nice. The tables, chairs and booths all fit the diner nicely. My cheesesteak sub was very tasty. Their menu said no substitutions, but they let me withhold the lettuce, tomatoes and onions, which I'm not fond of, so I'm glad they let me do that. Along that note, my wife ordered the BLT sandwich, and gave me some of the bacon, which was really good! Our friend George ordered the pizza burger, which also looked good, and he seemed to enjoy it. Their fresh cut fries were fantastic as well. If I had anything to complain about, it would be that the music being piped in was too modern for a classic diner atmosphere and wasn't something we were expecting. Although this was a 40 minute ride, it was well worth it! Super friendly staff and fresh delicious breakfast. This is definitely an "Old Americana" diner and we're looking forward to going back in the future.
