My water heater started leaking on a Friday afternoon. Called a few places and ended up texting with Michal Brandano. He quoted me a price to replace the tank, and one of his employees, Shawn, was there Monday morning. Shawn was very sociable and efficient. It turns out that Michael ordered the wrong tank and quoted me the price on the tank ordered in error. The tank I needed was more money then the tank he ordered. To his credit, he honored the original price. I was very impressed with Shawn's knowledge, and he answered all the questions I asked him. He was very professional. Very professional and efficient. Also very respectful people. They seamlessly fixed a few problems I had with the kitchen faucet piping that 3 other plumbers before then couldn't figure out. Took Brandano 2 days to fix, and I didn't even realize it was fixed so quickly until I got the invoice. Also, very reasonable pricing. They also do alot more complicated pipe work, they built the whole piping in the building I live in, so they're very professional. read more

Had an emergency situation with the shutoffs under the bathroom vanity. When I called I talked to Phil in the office and explained my problem. His plumber Paul called me back at 7:30 and said he'd be at my house between 8:30 and 9:00. Paul and Sean arrived promptly at 9:00 and went right to work. The plumbing was 1950's era piping and was difficult to remove. But they showed up with the appropriate replacement parts and tools to get the job done. They finished up about 11:00 and left the bathroom in clean condition. They were efficient, professional and handled the problem successfully. The price was what I expected. I have a few small project for the future. I will definitely call these guys again. They were recommended by Wayne's Drains, a company I have used in the past with great success. read more

Had an emergency call on a weekend and the owner came out to look at our furnace. He said we needed a new part and were quoted about $300-$400, which we thought was the total bill. We looked at the part online and based on that price plus the labor, the $300-$400 price range seemed acurate and fair. Today the part arrived and was installed, but the total price was $578. Both the owner and his employee were professional, but we would have appreciated a more accurate price up front. read more

Called to ask for a pump. Asked for model # of the pump to see if it was the right one. He told me to stop wasting his time - either I wanted it or not. Umm, I m the customer - too bothersome to help me see if this is the right product? And then told me I had to get there by lunch if I wanted it. When I asked for a specific time, he mocked me for not knowing when lunch is. I told him lunch is often in a range of 11am-1pm for most people, so could he be more specific. He mocked me some more and then said industry standard is high noon . Wow. Yes, that s customer service. I guess since I wasn't shelling out thousands of $$ to overpay for his services he wasn t interested. Welcome to entitlement of the American work force. Incredible. 11/6/2014 Had Brandano install a heating system 2 years ago. If you need them to make a service call they will NEVER come. They tell you they will call and you will NEVER hear from them. When you call back they will say I will call you tomorrow. This is not the way to run a business. I gave them one month to come out and make a service call,waited all day for them to show up and guess what! At the end of the day I called and they said that famous word TOMORROW. BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE BRANDANO'S PLUMBING AND HEATING IN MALDEN, MA I call Brandano's Plumbing and Heating 65 R Clinton Street Malden, MA at 12:00 noon yesterday. They installed my water heater under 1 year ago and it is still under warranty. I explained the problem is the electronic pilot igniter is not lighting the pilot. The service guy said he remembered doing the install and said it is still under warranty and would go out to his truck and see if he had the Honeywell igniter part and call me right back. At 2:00pm I called again and spoke to a guy in the office who said he did get some information about this but did not know what was going on. I explained that problem with my water heater (pilot will not stay lite- electronic pilot). He said " hold on let me see if I can get someone over there". No call back. At 4:00pm, I called the service guy again who answered the phone and said " oh hey buddy how are you?" I asked how come you did not call me back? He again said "hold on I will run out to the truck right now and call you right back. I never got a call back. I called back and got an answering service but could not leave a message as the mailbox was full. VERY frustrating!! The next morning I called again. He answered the phone and said " Do you realize it is 6:30am and freezing out?" the phone then disconnected. I called again. The phones answered, I said " Hello" and then disconnected a second time. On the 3rd time I called he answered the phone again. This guy was so rude. telling me to look for another company and that he was doing his best. If your best is to lie to your customers then you achieved it. I asked him if he was the owner. He replied " Why are you asking me that?" I said " Because you are being rude and unprofessional. He hung up. Now, understand, my water heat is under warranty and that means Brandano's will have to submit the paper work and be rein-burst by the manufacturer of the water heater repair I realize this is a pain for them but I had Brandano's do the install so only they know where they bought the water heater from. I can not believe how unprofessional this guy is. If a company can not to the job then they should be HONEST about it and tell the customer so the customer is not wasting their whole day and can call other companies to get help. This guy lied to me TWICE. Telling me he will call me right back knowing he had no intentions of calling me back. Then was so rude to me on the phone the next day. Had these people plumb my entire brand new house a few years ago. It was a disaster. I the guys were incompetent. I have had to have a plumber come to my home several times a year to repair the original plumbing did. Some of the things that have been replaced weren't done to code according to my new plumber. Scheduled for service to our condo's common space HVAC, and they stood me up. Scheduled appointment with them and cleared my schedule. Waited all day for a notice of approach. Never showed up did answer calls that I made to see if a an appointment window would be offered. Wasted entire 8-hours hoping to hear from them or show up. Apparently my time means nothing to them.
