Several years ago, I hired Eric to install a Lochinvar heating unit at our home. Eric and his crew did an great job. I have since used Eric on several occasions with great service. His crew are always prompt, courteous and very professional. Last year they put in a new water heater that quit two days later (improperly installed) on Thanksgiving when we had a full house. Carried pots of hot water from the kitchen - eight people shared a tepid bath. Mmmmmm..., This year they compromised the upstairs toilet so it would only half fill. Promised to fix it. Rushed home from MGH to meet Eric. Didn't show up. Didn't call. Following week - spent hours at home waiting for Eric - didn't show, didn't call. Eric made a date to come this afternoon. Didn't show. In this era of typically-poor customer service, it is fantastic to stumble upon a company like Mouradian, that was a pleasure to deal with and delivered outstanding, timely service. I discovered a small leak coming out of the ceiling in my basement over the weekend, calling for a plumber on a Saturday AM. Mouradian live-answered my call, dispatched a service man, Dan, the very same day. Dan examined the problem and said the Company would follow up. This morning, I received a call from GM Eric, I told him I was traveling later today and he was kind enough to re-schedule things to give me the very first appointment of the day. Eric and his team of expert plumbers at Mouradian are truly outstanding. They came highly recommended by our general contractor whom we trust and Mouradian's team did all the plumbing work for our full kitchen reconstruction. From day one, they were a pleasure to work with and most importantly they are highly skilled, knowledgeable and perform great quality work. Dave, who has decades of experience, together with younger plumbers Matt and Austin who appreciated the wisdom and expertise Dave imparted, did all the plumbing work in our kitchen and everything has been working beautifully. Dave was great at explaining everything to us, showing us where each pipe was going and how everything works (i.e. taking the time to explain how to shut off the water, what to do when we need to change the undersink filters, what to do when the leak detection sensor goes off, etc. so that we can be well-informed.) We have also needed to replace our old failing water heater that was past warranty, and they installed a new indirect hot water heater which has greatly increased the amount of hot water we have available to use. When our old 30 + year-old cast-iron boiler broke and started emitting carbon monoxide, Eric and his team were very responsive and quickly helped us replace it and installed a new high efficiency boiler which required complex venting and fresh air intake. Mike (another very experienced and knowledgeable plumber on Eric's team), Andrew and Eric installed the new boiler and very neatly organized all of our zones and pipes during the process. Everything has been working very well for months now. Eric is very creative and knowledgeable and came up with excellent solutions for our old house that improved the energy efficiency of our home and our quality of life. Communication with Eric as well as his administrative staff, Daniel and Leah, is terrific and clear. Even after work hours for plumbing emergencies, Eric has been very responsive and helpful. Mouradian is also fair in pricing while providing outstanding service. We are very fortunate to have such an outstanding plumbing team and would recommend Mouradian Plumbing to family and friends. Hi hunted around the Internet for a plumber for a furnace installation in Newton. Somehow I was lucky enough to find this establishment, and, specifically Eric, who had been named in a number of other Yelp reviews. I was able to get a next-day estimate, and at a price 30% less than our (less responsive) and longtime local plumbing business. Within only a couple of days somehow Eric was able to squeeze-in the installation and did a beautiful job. There were a couple of thermostat glitches (not associated with the estimate) which Eric returned the next day to fix. What matters more to me was the courtesy, cleanliness of the installation, quality of the work. We now have Mouradian as our plumber-for-life. Really disappointed with our experience with Mouradian, especially after reading all the great reviews. MassSave needed us to get some work done on our boiler ASAP so they could move forward with some energy efficiency upgrades we were making, and Mouradian was one of the only places that could come out the next day. They were flexible with their schedule with an arrived right on time (hence the 2 stars). Unfortunately things went downhill from there. The plumber spent 90% of his very short visit trying to up-sell us on a new, energy-efficient boiler system. I'm all for energy efficiency and making smart long-term investments, but we just weren't in a place to drop 10K on a new system when a few hundred dollar repair could hold us over a few more years. When we asked about a cheaper alternative, they claimed a few things in our shared basement weren't up to code and with a cheaper option we'd need to first correct those issues, hence costing more money. I'm certainly no expert, but I'm skeptical given that these code violations didn't come up with our inspector or the MassSave folks. It also seemed convenient that the fixes to the code violations brought the cost of the cheaper option within a few hundred dollars of the energy efficient unit they were pitching. All in all, after quoting us a few more extremely expensive prices for other minor repairs, they got their $185 fee for coming out and we got 30 mins of their time and made zero progress. Our usual plumber was able to come out a few days later and fixed the problem by servicing the boiler and replacing a few pieces of flew pipe for less than half the price Mouradian quoted us. read more

Completely awful! Basically took me for about 10 Grand in a remodeling job on our bathroom. One and a half years later, we have massive leaks going on and plumbing issues. On top of what we paid Mouradian, we had to have another plumber come out & pay them to fix the crab job Mouradian did. Don't hire this company unless you want to go broke paying for the fixes. He responded to my call at 6.30am on a weekend morning, came to our house at 8am and was very honest in presenting the pros/cons of replacing the existing water here or switching to a tankless system. Mouradian Plumbing did a fantastic job installing our new tankless water heater. We recently became homeowners, and bought the place knowing that the water tank had maybe a year of life left in it. Well, it's been about two months, and a DIY flushing of the tank didn't help with the water discoloration. And so, we reached out to see about getting work done on the tank, or replacing it. Eric (the owner), responded within an hour of my inquiry and offered to drop in the next day to have a look at the tank. After having a look at the set up, he provided some recommendations for both a replacement water tank as well as a tankless water heater (which we were considering). Eric took the time to look at where either option could best be placed, and how the venting would work if we went tankless. He also noted the need for wider gas piping, which would mean possibly needing our meter switched out (noting that this didn't need to happen prior to the switch, that we would just need to let Eversource know about it and they would address it). He took the time to understand our situation to give the best recommendation (particularly, asking how long we were planning on being in our current home to determine whether the switch to tankless would be worthwhile for us). We decided to go with the tankless water heater, and Eric was able to get a 3 person team out within about 4 business days of the original assessment to do the installation. His time estimates were spot on, projecting that the project would take one day, they'd arrive around 8am, and hot water would be off until about 4pm. Everything was really well done, and my husband (who was home during the work) said the team was very professional. By the time I got home at 5pm, the only indication that work had been done was the new water heater and the newly installed venting. Goodbye discolored water, hello new water heater! Would absolutely recommend Mouradian Plumbing, and fully intend on keeping their contact info on file for water heater maintenance and any plumbing needs that may arise in the future. read more

I own a Pizza place in Arlington. Our water heater stopped working. It was obvious by sight that it was not repairable. It took a few days to get in touch with somebody. I actually went and knocked on their door because I had a problem getting through on the phone. As soon as I talked to someone at the office, the owner came down in 1 hour and the installer came within the next two hours. They managed to take me the same day, and change my water heater in a matter of a few hours. Mind you, this is in the middle of their busy season. Matt, the installer, was incredibly professional and polite. I would definitely request him if you are having any work done. Thank you Mouradian!! Will be calling you again! I had to replace my forty year old oil fired boiler so I asked my plumber for a quote. When I got it seemed high so I went on the computer to try and get an idea what things cost and how long it should take. I decided h to get another price on HomeAdvisor where I found Mouradian, Eric came over the next day and gave me a much better price and because all the positive reviews got the job, that day we sceduled the install and it got done and so far so good. It was the end of the heating season so didn't get to use it much but here we go again another winter. read more

I've used Mouradian Plumbing for two different properties and I don't see why I would go with anyone else. They installed a new high efficient gas boiler and water heater in one home, and just installed a gas boiler in the other property. There were plenty of smaller jobs like installing a new bathroom sink, replacing a garbage disposal and just regular maintenance. Eric came by on short notice to give me an estimate, much lower than another estimate I had, and within a few more days was able to have his team replace the old boiler in one afternoon. In all the work they've done, the area is left extremely clean and orderly. There's great personal communication with everyone in that I've spoken with. It's not easy to find a plumber you love. I could not recommend Mouradian any higher. read more

Had a pipe burst and 2 other pipe leaking, badly. They came out while it was snowing heavily. They we're done in about 3 hours. There work was fast and thorough. I will definitely use them again. We had a boiler leak (the glass gauge) at the worst time -- discovered on a Saturday morning during extremely cold weather. Mouradian got right back to us and sent a guy over who quickly replaced the gauge assembly, fixing the problem within a few hours of our noticing it. We had a puzzling water leak coming down a basement wall late one night - sometimes hot water, then cold. I had no luck contacting an emergency plumber, as no one would come out, so we were stuck mopping. Again, next morning, with no success calling around, I came across Mouradian's review on Yelp, and ONLY THEY ANSWERED my frantic plea for help and returned my call!! My worry and frustration began to subside, and Eric, the company's founder, came within a couple hours. However, in the meantime he offered to walk me through turning off the hot water valves on our (complicated for us) Buderus boiler system. In the end, the confusing leak was located, buried deep under layers of a built in sauna and insulation materials. He did a great job of salvaging the sauna's wooden enclosure from too much damage, for a future rebuild. We were so impressed that we have happily recommended Mouradian Plumbing to our condo association and management. read more
