Brandman's was at one time and excellent place to have equipment services or repaired. I don't know if there was a change in management but I no longer take any equipment there, the workmanship is inconsistent which ends up costing money and time. read more

Disappointed in service. We had a new lawn mower that was used about 10 times and still under warranty. The store accused us of taking out the carburetor and reversing the choke thus they voided out our warranty costing us a loss of hundreds of dollars in warranty. (the lawnmower arrived in a sealed box). Today we used the "repaired" 8 month-old lawnmower only to discover that the air filter was jammed back into the machine when we picked it up from Bradman's. Upon using the lawn mower, the air filter cover flew off. Be careful with warranty issues and thoroughly inspect your equipment when picking it up. read more

Tried to use these people for my mower repair. The scheduler and owner treated my like garbage and acted like it was a joke. Honestly a really negative experience even calling in. I found several other options near by for the job and they were all extremely courteous. read more

I brought in my push mower to get a quick fix , maybe as a woman and not in the landscaping business I'm unsure of how these places operate .. I was told it could take 2 or 3 days and had to call to find out what happened to my mower on the 3rd day , they said it was a 3 hour job that could cost 300.00 or more so at this point wasn't worth repairing, instead of being a scumbag which looking back I should've been , I went to pick up the junk lawn mower and was charged 51.85 !!!!! For a diagnostic??? So basically I dropped off a non working mower to bring a non working mower home to take up space ! None of the workers gave me a heads up when I dropped the mower off that they charged for a diagnostic fee that would've really been helpful !!! I've taken a few machines to Brandmans; mowers, hedge trimmers, etc. and every time they disappoint. I've had to pick up machines in pieces after paying their $50 diagnostic fee citing they cannot be fixed, only to fix them myself. Prices to tune a mower and sharpen a blade - $175, ridiculous. Wait times for them to get to your equipment exceeds three weeks at time, also unacceptable. Though I can fix them, I don't always have the time and finding a good mechanic is harder and harder these days. What really made me leave for good was how they treated my wife, as though she couldn't possibly know what she was talking about. This blatant disrespect is unacceptable to me, even if they were good mechanics. The fact that they are not made the decision to find another mechanic an easy one. I believe that supporting local businesses is absolutely what we should be doing, and I'll continue looking locally for reputable small engine mechanics. read more

For years I have used Bradman's Equiptment to service my outdoor equiptment. Recently, I took a walk behind blower for service and was humilated and disappointed at the way I was treated after I refused to agree to a $280 repair cost. I told the person who called me that I will pick the blower up instead. When I showed up to get the machine I was totally surprised! He present me with a skeleton frame of the machine and told me the missing parts are inside and he could get them for me or he can junk the unit. I was so distraught and angry at the moment and did not want to engage so I left without the machine. But, it bothered me the way I was treated. Later, I emailed Ross- owner (drop down contact) from the company website and requested to be contacted. It almost a month and I am still waitingfor a response. Should I continue to do business with this Bradman's? Do they care about the way customers are treated? Well, look how I was treated! Do they deserve one star? You decide. BW- Norwalk read more

I would like to commend the staff as well as Ross the owner of Brandman's for the EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE we experienced! After the Nor'easter hit Norwalk, we discovered our generator would not start and having sump pumps to run gave us cause for concern. After trying everything we could think of to get it started a friend recommended Brandman's to see if it could be repaired. The staff was very knowledgeable in explaining the process to test the machine, they were very patient and polite with us calling several times to check on the status of the machine and just overall polite and friendly. As promised we were able to get the generator by the end of the day. It truly was a great experience with a very professional team! When i asked the guy about it on the phone he said to call back in the morning. I purchased a $600 stihl chainsaw a few months ago from this place and I used it a total of 5 times since. 2 weeks ago it just died on me. I immediately knew that there was something wrong with the piston/cylinder because the saw had no compression so I brought it back assuming that it was under warranty. First I had to pay $47 just for them to look at it and then I was told that I had to wait 2 weeks because they were busy. I foolishly agreed and left it there. I waited the 2 weeks and I went back to be told that they hadn't even looked at it yet but they would do it for me on the spot. So five minutes later a tech comes out and tells me that the piston/cylinder was shot and that it wasn't covered by the warranty because that never happens and it must have been my fault it happened. He told me that repairing it wasn't worth it because it would be cheaper to buy a new one. It cost me an additional $47 to be told that I'm incompetent and that I must have used the wrong fuel. When I told him that I only used the premixed fuel that they sold me I was told that then I must have allowed saw dust to enter the saw and that must have been what overheated and blew the motor. It never occurred to their "engineer" that the saw may have been a lemon from the manufacturer and that they should try to fight for their customer and at least see if stihl would cover it under warranty. BTW the saw looks brand new and the only reason why I gave them 1 star is because yelp won't let you give zero stars!! If you're a lowly homeowner and not a landscaper your business is irrelevant to these people. read more
