Also the front office staff is amazing when dealing with the VA payment and authorization system. That place causes more patient injury then help. But Oakfield Dental deals with them and only involves me when I need to become Karen on the VA. Which is the only way to make the VA pay up or authorize something. I was there today, and I told the dentist that I hope that she outlives me because I never wanna have another Dentist.. don't get me wrong. First, Gabby at the front desk is so polite, patient and caring. I have a crazy schedule and sometimes I have to change my appointments (a few times) and she is understanding, enthusiastic and bubbly. Sonalee is the sweetest assistant. She loves every patient, will talk and listen to you and you feel you are in good hands. Most importantly Dr Pojtek is so ethical. If your tooth can be saved with a filling which she makes much less money, she will save your tooth. Most dentist offices want to put a crown on every tooth, not Dr Pojtek. I always tell her she has my never ending loyalty. I recommend this office 100%.

I went to Aspen dental in July to fix some pain I was having in a back molar. They were good enough…read moreto see me and took my insurance. We had an x-ray done and they sold me that I needed a deep cleaning. I ended up agreeing, even though it seemed strange to me that it was going to cost me $1600+ just for 2 cleanings and an appointment with their endodontist to find out what was causing the pain. They had me pre pay that amount. Keep in mind this is with insurance, my wife on the same plan had a free cleaning, but mine was far more expensive, lasted about 15 mins per session and in no way seemed to be worth $1600. I saw the specialist and she couldn't tell me why I had the pain, I might have a crack, might be able to do a crown or just pull the tooth. They quoted me some procedures, but I passed. By the time I saw the endodontist the pain had abated. Then about a month later they started sending me bills.. this is after they told me everything was taken care of. The first bill was over $900, then they brought it down to $430. I called multiple times to get it resolved, and they told me that they were still working with insurance. The last time I called they admitted that they had charged twice for an x-ray and insurance wasn't covering it. As I explained to them, insurances don't pay when you double bill. That is not a legal practice and that they should fix it. I tried to resolve this with them three times from the corporate number and the site. They are still sending bills, I am not sure why. I am already upset at myself for paying the $1600 for a cleaning and a consultation. I can't believe this place ripped me off already tremendously and is trying to keep doing it since my insurance won't pay for their fraud. I am still awaiting resolution, but I would not recommend giving Aspen Dental your business.

If I have to cancel, I am then expected to wait months for a new appointment without any consideration on their part that the cancellation was their fault. It is very disrespectful of them to play with patients time and make us wait months to reschedule. This is the case for various patients as I have seen it happen to other people in the waiting room with me. People usually take time off work for these appointment, I do, and it's extremely inconsiderate of them to take us in over an hour later OR in the worst case, more than an hour after to the point that we have to cancel due to their non compliance of time. This has happened to me multiple times which is why I decided to complain.
