We found this place while traveling back home. Great friendly service, food cooked to perfection. Basic menu for breakfast, lunch and take out. Sent us on our way with a surprise cup of coffee in take-out cup. Try favoring a small mom and pop shop instead of a huge corporate restaurant. Nice parking available. read more

We stopped just before closing, but were welcomed in and told there was no need to hurry. Nobody else was there. We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness. Carpeting, window sills, tables were spotless. Our order was taken in a timely manner and served quickly. I enjoyed a BLT, thick with awesome bacon! Hubby had an omelette that he reported very good,especially the bacon. If ever in the area, we would go back. read more

Okay breakfast/lunch place. I would not come here unless other family members wanted to. I rather go to other small restaurants in Standish. Was never crazy about the food here as it is exactly what I would make at home. Pancakes are huge here but on the heavy/overcooked side. Cant fault them but what they make is actually edible. But its greasy stuff. Not my cup of tea no pun indeed. read more

The food was decent, however the service on the other hand was despicable.. we were not greeted as we walked in the door and waited awhile until any staff helped us at all. Upon seating the waitress approached us in a disrespectful manner. When ordering, she was very rude and dismissive. When asking any questions about a food item, we we're given a short and unbothered remark with no emotion behind it. However as our breakfast continued the waitress's attitude improved and the food came out quick. The restaurant overall had an unsanitary and a poorly decorated environment. The pancakes where great and the chicken was too. The stuff was friendly and made us feel at home. I would recommend there pancakes.

Not worth stopping in, nobody said anything when we walked in. Had to seat ourself and then wipe our own table. After sitting there for 18 minutes with no waitress coming over, we just left. read more

Jim is gone but Brandy remains. The joint appears to be clean. The pancake tall stack were too much to devour, and were a it on the charred side. Fairly expensive for this quality of food. I pass this place everyday and thought I would give if another chance after the miserable hamburgers we had experienced a few years back. At least it was NOT as bad as the burger fiasco. We are not from here and this is our first time visiting this restaurant. We had breakfast and the food was excellent. My hot tea tasted like dish water, but the coffee did not. Locals were there and having fun. We will be going back. read more

Had breakfast with my wife this morning, very disappointing from our 1st visit last spring. Service was very good from the wait staff. I ordered cheese omlete wife ordered farmers omlete with coffee and a side of sausage gravy. My omlete was a fried egg with a 2 slices of American cheese then folded over. I see cheese omlete as 2 eggs cooked with shredded cheese put in the middle of the omlete, fold from the outside to the middle then flip the opposite 1/3 over and finish cooking. My wife's omlete veggies raw not sauteed with the same American cheese. Neither of us could eat the sausage gravy way-way too much black pepper, they did refund the price of the sausage. Very polite people, clean establishment, extremely clean restrooms. This restaurant has the makings of a fine breakfast/lunch. I'd really like to see this place suceed. read more

This place was good then slowly went downhill. You never know if the place will be open when you get there. I've called before in an attempt to verify how long they would be open only to find they were closed or wanted to know if I would like something to go. Why have hours then? Stopped for breakfast while camping on the Rifle River. Staff very short and unfriendly, six of us were told NOT to put two tables together as the waitress didn't want to have to stretch to serve us. A group of 4 moved to another table and gave us theirs. The waitress still stood at one end of the table and we had to pass everything down. One person noticed a bug floating in her coffee the size of a pea, another found mold on their toast crust. The waitress did not seem fazed and asked if we wanted another coffee and toast. When the bill came she asked if everything had been OK...we starred at her but she never caught on. They did not charge for the bug or mold, but they charged for everything else. Poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, wait staff annoyed by customers and let you know. read more
