Greated as I walked in. Served a beverage within seconds of sitting at the table.! Wowed by the service right off the start! Kyall took VIP like care of us...My hunger ways got ahold of my decision making and I looked at the menu and mumbled something that made sense to the server. The service was top notch. The flavors of the burger ...life changing. The fries were piping hot ... in hindsight I should have orded the tidbits...they looked phenomenal!! This place knows how to get someone's hunger taken care of. I came in hungry, I left fatter and happier. Thank you Mary's grill for satisfying my stomach! Very friendly diner. Hubby and I sat at the bar, but there were plenty of tables and booths to choose from. Hubby had the chicken fried chicken and it was fantastic, plus he has enough for lunch tomorrow! I had a jalapeño mushroom burger with sweet potato fries and they were both very good. Lots of jalapeños and mushrooms, plus the sweet potato fries were thin and crispy and not covered in sugar like you find at a lot of places. While we were there, our server told us about the owner also purchasing the bakery next door, so of course, we had to check that out before leaving! Looking for some comfort food? Here! Right here. Great chicken fried steak and great burgers too. Fried pickles for our starter were also very good. Exceptional service. My wife and I often share meals and typically hope they at least bring a spare plate so we can divide the meal. The folks at Mary's divided the meal onto two plates and brought it out. Like two complete meals. You don't expect this level of service anymore. Ambiance is small town dinner where everyone is family. Didn't know places like this even existed anymore. read more

Mary's Grill in Tonkawa, Ok is a prize if you value cafes who have endured the test of time. It opened in the '50's. We had breakfast but they serve lunch and dinner, too. Pretty extensive menu for a small town cafe. We would eat here again. read more

We stopped in passing through town, a hidden gem indeed. The service was great with a very personal friends & family feel. The environment was an old diner vibe and very clean, including the restrooms. The food was also great, not over seasoned or over cooked and hot when served. I had Caroline's Favorite and it was a perfect healthy option and very filling. My boyfriend had the club sandwich (made for a real man) with sweet potato fries (recommend). This place is has gone downhill in a hurry. The last time I ordered food from there the owner Carol was walking out saying she needed a drink. I had to leave and come back to get my food. Which was cold and not correct. Today I walked in to order 1 to go salad. I waited at least 10 minutes for the lady working the counter to finish cashing people out. Then she asked me what I needed and I said a side salad to go. And she walked off and started checking on tables... long story short this place is expensive and has no customer service. read more

This is a quaint small town diner that serves great food and our server was busy but still friendly and helpful. I ordered the catfish basket and it was very good. The catfish was lightly breaded, cooked perfect, nice and hot, served with home cut fries and hushpuppies. My husband had a mushroom bacon burger and said that it was also very good.
