Looked up local breakfast on Yelp and picked Mary's Grill. Full of locals , clean , great service. Defiantly a mom and pop cafe. Great coffee and very affordable breakfast.

My Hungry Man Steak

We were traveling through the area and stopped to eat at Mary's. The food was good and the waitress was friendly and efficient. I couldn't finish my Hungry Man Steak but will eat it tomorrow! It's a bit off the beaten path (I-35) but worth the short drive into Tonkawa! My wife had the BLT and reports that it was good too!

Excellent Chicken Fried Steak! Great little salad bar! Real mashed potatoes and dinner rolls. Friendly service, too!!

Daily specials

Love the place. Loved the food. The people were so nice. The prices were just as good as the food

The food is always good at Mary's. Fresh, hot coffee, refreshing ice water. Today, we indulged in a quick, delicious toaster sandwich. Hubby had the ham, I had the sausage, but we ate each other's other half so we got to try them both. I got a huge cup of ice to go because the good ice is served here!

I parked across the street from this place for the weekend. I was really looking forward to…read morewatching the Boots Ennis fight, (but all they had playing was that UFC Speedo fighting), get some grub, and throw a dollar or two into a slot machine so I moseyed on over around I'd say 6:00 p.m.? The whole venue itself is pretty big. Including this restaurant, they have another restaurant called 'the hub' which is for more like teeny boppers and families, a bowling alley, a movie theater, a sports bar and of course slot machines and table games. It cracks me up when people write bad reviews complaining about a casino that smells like smoke. IT'S A FRIGGIN CASINO! You don't like the smoke (which dissipates very fast anyways) then don't go into a casino! Anyhow I digress let's get to the restaurant. I wasn't aware that they closed at 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. But most native American casinos have weird hours and do weird things (trust me I've been to plenty all over the country). But as I sat down at the bar, my less than happy, emphatic waitress/bartender asked me if I would like to order something to drink, which I said yes, and I wanted food also and she said 'well we close in 20 minutes so'.. I felt a rush to get me out of there. I didn't feel very valued at that point. But the reason for the fourth star is because all the other bartenders and servers stepped in and were super super nice. Especially the one girl bartender that was bringing me drinks to my machines and blackjack table. And I did sort of eat in a rush because I felt pressured. One gripe, is when I was ready to get my check, I was just sitting there for about 10 or 15 minutes. A couple of the other bartender / waitresses ask me who my server was, and I looked around and didn't see her. So I told them I wasn't sure. About 6 or 7 minutes later comes out of the back and says "sorry I was on break". Well you guys are closing in literally 5 minutes, so exactly why are you taking a break if you're about to leave? That kind of upset me but whatever. I ordered the rib plate, with a side of okra. It came with a roll, and a dinner salad which is actually really really good size. I ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. My salad came out almost immediately, so I scarfed that down, then about 20 minutes, my appetizer and entree came together. My waitress said "sorry they cooked them at the same time." But I didn't really care, considering apparently they were getting ready to close. The fried pickles were super good, and there were a lot for the price. Actually cost wise, it was a lot of food for what I paid. The fried okra was typical, it was good and hot and they even had a bottle of Louisiana Red Dot which is a MUST for southern food. The ribs.... The ribs I think are steamed, then baked with barbecue sauce, and then another layer of barbecue sauce. Of course they were tender and the bones came right out, and tasted overall okay. If I ever came back I would probably order it again, especially if I was a regular. All in all I had a great experience at this place. Everyone from the bar staff to The pit Boss, for the exception of my bartender/waitress at supper we're all super nice, especially the maitre d who greeted me immediately upon coming through those glass double doors. If I'm ever in Tonkawa again, I'll DEFINITELY be going back!

Kept the drinks full and very nice young lady! Will definitely go back. Drive over an hour for dinner and a movie! Clean booth and even being inside a casino we could talk and relax!

My son and I typically go out and eat lunch on Thursdays. He wanted breakfast, so I did some investigation, and found that Country Kitchen does serve breakfast all day. I ordered the catfish nuggets with potatoes and gravy, okra and a salad bar. First of all, the salad bar was hekkin awesome! Bless them for having it! Boo to all the restaurants that have removed them. I liked everything on the salad bar, and they even had croutons and sunflower seeds. I could've stopped there, but my food came and I have to say was spectacular. The catfish nuggets were fresh and hot and melt in your mouth. Okra was breaded perfectly and had a great flavor. And the cream gravy on the potatoes tasted wonderful! Everyone needs to try this little gem of a restaurant. The prices were fantastic as well. I can't wait to go back and try the Indian taco. Thank you Country Kitchen! I am coming back!

He wanted a burger so he said here or Braum's...so here it was. We walked in, and there is a bar room and an eating room. We sat in the dining area, the fireplace on one wall is really aesthetic, otherwise it's a quaint, clean, hole-in-the-wall establishment... motorcycle parking up front (wish we'd brought our bikes). Hubby ordered a beer, it arrived in a frosty cold mug, just like he likes it. Also, as per tradition, fried mushrooms. As for food, he got a cheeseburger with seasoned fries and I got wings(enough to share) in mild sauce and sweet potato fries with sea salt. Our server was also the one preparing the food, he wore gloves, he worked quick, and was friendly. The workers talk to you like you're their neighbor, and everyone seems in a pretty good mood. Now on to the food...I am often jealous of my husband's selection, this is no exception. His burger looked like something your dad makes for Memorial Day, family picnics, and the 4th of July. It is thick and juicy, and I'd like to tell you that it tasted as good, but honestly, my husband didn't share. LOL He says I only needed to ask. I did try the fries, seasoned is DEFINITELY the way to go! YUM! HOWEVER, my wings were not missing a beat, they were delicious, fresh, and the sauce was super good. My sweet potato fries were excellent. The best part, with appetizer, three beers, and both our dinners, we still got out of there for less than $40. Overall, would definitely go back, very pleased with service, food, cleanliness, and cost. I definitely recommend you stop in.

Jim's Jumbo Burger is this tiny spot on the corner and is take out only from a single window. It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! Service was great and the two folks inside were so friendly!!! They showed me what Oklahoma is all about with their kindness in taking my order and getting it out quickly!!!! Cheers y'all!!!!

They easily beat all the chains in town but they blew the other local joints out of the water as well. It's been awhile since I'd eaten there and was so looking forward to it. But after nearly $20 for a double meat and cheese accompanied with an order of cheese tots and a soda, I wish I'd went to McDonalds. I'm joking I would never go to McDonald's. But now I can say I will never go back to Jim's Jumbo Burger. The burger lacked all the elements of greatness they once held. Virtually no flavor. No juiciness and It lacked actual substance. The tots were old tasting and stale. The cheese was none existent. The meal was not worth nearly $20. Do the math on trying to feed a family of four. A $100 bucks for dry, tasteless, old food is not worth it in any economy. The service was fine, even though the wait time was a bit much for no one else being there. And again it is nothing to look at. The vibe is 1979s retro ran down. It was once a great place with great food. Now I wouldn't waste my time.
