Fourth, because we were next to the washrooms, we could hear the bathroom doors slamming closed all night long, and people talking, all past quiet hours. Fifth, the firewood they sell at the camp store doesn't burn at all and we could only start a fire by buying firestarters.. Lastly, there is no proper sidewalk for pedestrians to walk if you do not have a car or bike, so it felt very unsafe... The best part in all this was the camp store and the showers. Showers were close to the campsite walking distance which is really nice and the camp store was open great hours and had everything. All in all, I don't think we would be camping here again. It was nothing like we expected.

At the campground, the lots for trailers are a nice size and have electricity hook ups. They have a metal fire pit too. There is a nice field to play anything you want at plus bathrooms with showers at both ends. There is a store selling goods plus wood, but it closes early, even on a Saturday. It's pitch black at night with no lighting so make sure you bring a flashlight. Enjoy!

It is located in the old Waterdown, Ontario that is now merged into City of Hamilton. It is a curtain fall that is 10m high and 5m wide. It is beautiful, powerful and breathtaking. To get to the Great Falls, go south on Mills Street North, go under a railway bridge, park at the Smokey Hollow Park on the right. We went when the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom but it was a tad bit early for the other floral arrangements to bloom in their outdoor gardens so it still felt winter-like. We started at one location early in the morning with the Arboretum. That's where you pay $25 to drive your vehicle in. Parking is ample early in the morning but when we left an hour or two later, there was a conga line of vehicles waiting to get in. So, yes you have to be there at least at around 8 AM if you don't want to wait in line or find parking. Parking is free at the main RBG region with their inside greenhouse region plus their outside garden. What I didn't like was that you had to drive out afterwards to go to the Rock Garden where you had to show your tickets again for entrance. Parking was still free though. So, overall, a lot of driving from one location to another (at least three) and a lot of walking. If you want to bring slow-walking seniors, good luck. It's beautiful scenery but a lot of walking involved.

The first time we purchased a day pass and the kids stayed for almost 5 hours - without coming to shore once. I also participated and really enjoyed it too with a healthy fear of injuring myself - I served as a bowling pin to bendy kids slipping and sliding through the course :-). The second visit, only the 2h pass (peak hours) was available and the kids used every minute of it. We packed a lunch and drinks, blankets for lounging and chilled out for a good portion of the day while the kids enjoy the inflatable course. It's fun to watch them ! We've seen many bring small bbqs and make it a full day. There is a BBQ stand selling food by the change rooms if you'd rather take that route. Tip : If you purchase the Niagara Peninsula Conservation season pass (approx $130 which gives you access to other Niagara Parks) and can make good use out of it, it makes FunSplash more affordable in the long run. If you only plan on going to Binbrook once, park entry is $28 (carload) above the FunSplash access fee ($25 for 2 hours and $30 for all day pass).
