We stopped by Braum's and it was a normal, easy experience. Pricing is decent, not fancy inside at all but you get good value for what you pay. Service was fast and everything moved quick even though it was a bit busy. We took ours to go but they have tables and chairs if you prefer to dine in. One thing we liked is they let you taste ice cream flavors before you decide, which actually helps make it easier to try new flavors. We usually go for the junior cake cone, or double scoop sugar cone, root beer floats, or the shakes. Malts are pretty good too. Overall atmosphere is simple, there is a small grocery section where you can get milk, eggs, pints of ice cream, among other things. More of a quick stop vibe than a sit down and stay for a while place, and it works well. A good choice for reasonably priced ice cream. read more

Super nice to my kids and employee was patient while we figured out what to order. She put sprinkles on her Ice cream even though I'm not sure they usually do that with cones. This location has turned into a homeless hangout. The patio was littered with a homeless person's discarded wardrobe, there was clothes scattered everywhere with two pairs of shoes scattered about. There was even a leftover bag of KFC sitting on one of the tables with several Crows eating the leftovers out of it. It was disgustingly gross to look at while trying to eat your meal. They really need to keep an eye on that kind of stuff and at least pick up after them if they're going to allow the homeless to hang out there. read more

Literally decades ago, I lived in Texas and one of my favorite things in the world was Brahms' peppermint ice cream. I now live in Ohio, and I have tried every peppermint ice cream under the sun, and nothing compares. I'm glad to report that this location has vastly improved since my last review, I would definitely say it's on par with the University location now. I discovered this back in April when I needed several items from their grocery store, but was short on time. I popped in here to get some milk and eggs, and I was so hungry I ordered a cheeseburger while I was shopping. I was pleasantly surprised to see that their execution was a complete 180 from my previous visits! I'm not sure if it's new management or a new staff, but the quality and execution is so much better. Which is a relief! Ever since Whataburger has been changing their ingredients, Braums now has the best fast food burger in the area and I'm glad I can go to both locations now, instead of just the one on University. In fact, this one is on my route home currently, so it saves me time and gas. Since April I have put this place into my rotation once a week on my way home. I come in and place a to go order for me and my husband, do my grocery shopping and then get my to go order and leave. It's the best option for me to avoid juggling too many items, but they are also pretty busy so it's proven the most efficient choice anyway. All of these visits have been very consistent on the food and service. The staff has been friendly to me on all my visits and while there have been a couple times I had to wait at the conveyor belt for someone to come check me out, they are managing their lines pretty well. Weekly I've been picking up milk, yogurt, ice cream, cookies and sometimes I pick up bread, eggs, coffee pods and a few other items. These items are way better quality than at most of the grocery stores nearby and cheaper than many as well. There were 2 times that the ice cream sandwiches were a little broken (we ate them anyway) but have not had issues with the tubs of ice cream or ice cream cones. In the past I would have considered their Kingsford products or their lunch meat to be on the higher side, but I've noticed that they aren't responding to inflation at the same rate as Kroger, so I've saved money on everything I've purchased these past 2 months. I'm sure this has to do with the amount of items coming from their farm and cutting out the middle man in production and transportation. Regardless, it really helps that I'm saving on these grocery items. However, I also save on the fast food side as well. I can get a meal with large fries and a shake for my husband and I to share and an additional burger or other item and I feel like I am typically spending $10-12 for all of it. They have good chicken strips too, but a very satisfying cheeseburger, which is what we get most of time. The crinkle cut fries are always hot and crispy with just enough salt. We've had a variety of their shakes and they are so good! I honestly feel that everything I get from here is higher quality and a better price than a nearby competitor and so I've been leaving satisfied every visit. We had out of town company , who, whenever they are here always have to stop at Braums. We stopped on Nov 10 at store #260 in Denton, Tx. First, the place where they make their desserts was a pig sty. melting ice cream and toppings all over the counter. It took the employee about15 minutes to make a mixer. First she went through the bottom of the cup, then tried again and put too much soft serve in it, the tried to dump some out (it went onto the counter), then she tried to make it again - by the time we got the first one it was a melting mess. The other two had so little candy in the icec ream that it was hard to tell if we got what we wanted. Needless to say, three of us were not happy with our orders. We didn't go back to the counter because we didn't think it would help and we didn't want to hold up anyone else. read more

I've loved braum's ice cream in the past but I don't know if I'll eat there again. I began eating this ice cream and found that some of the chocolate pieces couldn't be chewed. Once I spit them out, I saw that they were plastic, not chocolate. We called the store back to let them know to discontinue serving that carton of ice cream and they said that because they couldn't see the shards in the ice cream, there was nothing they could do about it. This is very disconcerting to think that they don't care about mine or other's safety enough to stop serving at least that one carton and look into what happened to the ice cream that got plastic shards in it. Here's to hoping that this plastic doesn't get served to anyone else, this is unsafe and makes me beyond uncomfortable that they didn't want to do anything about this. read more

Let's talk about ice cream! Unfortunately, ice cream is the only thing about this review because it's all we ever get, but we do stop often for a nice junior scoop in a cone. First of all the price is hard to beat! A good sized scoop (it's called a junior scoop but is all a person really needs) is like $1.20. When you have 3 kids like me this is a huge bargain! It's the only ice cream place in town where four of us can all get cones for around $5. Awesome! They always have at least 12 flavors of ice cream begging to be tasted. Best thing is, they will give you a tiny spoonful of any flavor to try before making that life altering decision of which flavor to commit to. Around Christmas, and some other holidays, they offer special flavors to help raise the holiday cheer and get you in that once-a-year mood. My usual go-to flavor is the cappuccino chunk. It's so creamy, sweet, and not too rich. I want to go get another one right now! The kids rotate through all kinds of flavors, but they are always tasty. I'm always eager to get a taste of 3 other flavors in addition to mine! The staff is always very friendly and appear happy to help out. We are always greeted with a smile and patience while the kiddos take hours to decide exactly which sweet concoction they want on a specific day. Braums is a treat for my kids, but a treat for my wallet and teacher's salary as well. We have been many times, and will be back many more. We might even try actual food sometime. read more

I visited Braum's today and saw that their periodic specialty burger is a green chile burger with pepperjack cheese. I gave it a try with mustard instead of the mayo and wow was it good. The patty was piping hot and juicy and the cheese was melted all over. I've had issues in the past with my Braum's burgers being cold but this one was steaming. I think it was the best burger I've in a long time - I can't remember ever having a better burger. The fries were extra crisp today which is a plus in my opinion. I stop by here often after work and grab a burger. The same lady is always taking my order and she is always so friendly and kind. Usually in the drive-thru I'm in and out in less than 4 mins. Service is fast and the food does taste really good for fast food. Braums has great ice cream sure but the burgers are also really good and definitely worth trying if you haven't. The breakfast menu is also pretty good. The only thing I don't like is the breakfast burritos because they are loaded with green peppers. The a.m. staff is great. The evening staff however seems to be recruited from the clown school dropouts. They don't care about customer service. They don't care about professionalism. The ice cream is actually really good. The other food is OK. I'm not a fan of their fries, but other people seem to love them. Tonight my drink was handed to me with Coke pouring down the sides of it. I had to ask the drive-through girl if I could have a napkin to clean it up myself. I also had to ask for a straw. Been here a handfull of times and the wife and I are big fans of Braum's. Their ice cream is quite delicious and smooth tasting. They have about 15 or so flavors that you can choose from when you walk in. You can pretty much have your ice cream made with any of their toppings or flavors that you want. What is even more great about this place is it is very affordable. Coming from California, I would expect to pay about $10 for 2 people to get some ice cream. Not here though... One time, my wife got a banana split and I got a waffle gone with 2 scoops on it. It came out to less than $6 total. We knew we had found our new hot spot for ice cream and/or frozen yogurt. What is nice about this place is that, if you are in a hurry or the line is too long, they have all their ice cream flavors to pick up and go with. They have more flavors, in their freezer to take home, than they do if you make your own. I took off a star only because they serve food here as well and we haven't tried it. I have visited this Braums for the last time. They routinely got my simple order wrong. I realized that the employees were playing games and intentionally messing up my order the last time they handed me my order at the drive thru and they were all laughing. After hearing about Braum's over the course of the week from my friend, I finally was fiending some late night ice cream so on we went. From the outside it looked a little run down with flickering lights and out of date advertising that looked like it had been the same since the 90's. There was also a small convience store located inside which was odd. Despite all this, we came for their ice cream which was delicious and very cheap. I got a cone and a malt because my dairy craving was real. They offered a wide variety of flavors. I chose pecan and black cherry. We sat inside and enjoyed our tasty treats.
