When I'm in town I I try and make a stop here. Parking is hard because a lot of the streets are one way or under construction with limited spots. There was no line when we walked in. Delivery service is actually awful, place my order around 12pm, they told me it would be about 30-40 minutes, I get a text around 12:20 that my order is on the way( I live 13 min from the store) and it's not 1:30pm and I still don't have my order. I understand if there are deliveries that are also in the same route ( they went to a house down the a couple neighborhoods over from mine, drove past the entrance street to my house, then went to an apartment complex over by the store in the opposite direction. Horrible location but great cookies. Went tonight to bring some family for their first time. It was 10pm and they told us immediately that they were not serving ice cream, which was odd but we thankfully didn't come for that. However, when I ordered I asked for a gluten free cookie which they were supposedly out of...I'm gluten intolerant so I wasn't able to order anything else which sucked. Then, my siblings tried to order and they were also out of multiple other cookies. They had blocked off their small seating area, also annoying since they don't close until 2am, so we were standing talking for a bit while we waited. My sister had to walk around the chairs they used to block off this seating area to grab a napkin, and she immediately was scolded for the fact that she had walked where they had previously mopped. There was no indication they had mopped and again, this was hours before they are supposed to close. There were no other napkins and the 2 employees there seemed miserable and gladly made it known. I'm in Denton from Boston, visiting my husband's family for the holidays. Yesterday I had an urgent desire for cookies, and Yelp told me this was the place to go! Yes indeed! This is the place. I was a bit confused at first because from the outside, the place looked dark and closed. But I tried the door and it opened. When inside, all I saw was ice cream - no cookies. So I asked the very nice person if f they had cookies, and she showed me that the options were shown on a sign above. I bought a triple chocolate cookie and 2 peanut butter chips. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I have been a major lover of Insomnia Cookies for years and years. This location the past year has just been horrendous. Multiple occasions, I have ordered cookies to be delivered. Once, they marked it as delivered but never even left their store (after 3 hours). Another time, I waited for over 5 hours before finally getting 6 cookies... Last night, the cancelled the order immediately, and didn't even tell me or email me. Today, I went into the store to get them for a party, and the staff literally looked like they wished they (and I) were dead. So incredibly rude and slow. We used to enjoy coming here on occasion and haven't been in a long time. We decided to come tonight after dinner and walked into a filthy area and no one to be found manning the front. Completely lack of professionalism at this location! I have ordered multiple times and every time there has been an extremely lengthy wait after the initial pick up time. I have now had enough with this last experience, I ordered just cookies through the app and pick up time was 8:45pm. Mind you I placed this order at 8pm! I Already know with past experiences this location takes significantly longer than what they say. So I didn't show up till 9-9:15pm. Upon arrival the whole place is packed and backed up and after waiting 15 minutes in line I am told my cookies will be done "in approximately 20-30 mins" by the presumed manager. After waiting that 30 mins I then call the store so I don't have to wait another 15 minutes in line and am answered by the most ignorant person I think I have ever dealt ever. Upon speaking to this employee he stated that the cookies are behind and he had no idea when my cookies will be down. At this point of waiting 45 minutes at the store being 10pm I left. To TOP IT OFF I get a call waking me up from this location at 1 AM in the morning! 4 Hours after my initial pick up time! Complete lack of regard for their customers and completely unprofessional! Will be contacting corporate and be explaining this and my other situations in hope the hammer will come down and fix this location flaws. Wow, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this place deserves a big "WTF?" to put it nicely. I came around midnight or so on a Wednesday night when Fry street was pretty busy, so there was no reason for them to be handing out bad product. I ordered a double chocolate and a chocolate mint cookie for a little over $3. They were each about the size of the bottom of a coke can. Probably standard cookie size, but for that price they should at least taste pretty good. The mint chocolate one was good, but nothing to write home about. The crazy part is that the double chocolate cookie was hard as a brick. I literally have a video (I'll post) of me tapping it against the counter. I took it to the register and the girl working was like "ok...?" So she checked to get me a new one and said "oh, they're all like that." I offered to take any other flavor and it happened that the only option that wasn't brick hard was sugar. I didn't get an apology or explanation, I was just reluctantly handed a sugar cookie. What a fun little spot and what a great idea. They are open until 3am so you can easily get your fix almost any time of the day. The parking situation isn't the greatest due to the fact that it's right next to the college so it's metered parking but we paid 10 cents for 12 minutes. Way worth it. The cookies were to die! We got a box of 12 which has lasted for 2+ days at this point with no re-packinging. They are still gooey and fresh. We ordered 12 traditional: (2) chocolate (chunk) chip, (2) sugar cookie, (2) peanut butter, (2) dark chocolate, (2) snickerdoodle, (1) white chocolate macadamia nut, (1) oatmeal raisin. Delish. The snickerdoodle were my favorite! They were gooey and warm when they came out. They have a cute little milk fridge cause milk and cookies - why not? It's day 90! I've enjoyed the stats, reviews and photos since I joined yelp and decided to use day 90 to get my reviews to a nice round number with a hot and new business. Insomnia cookies has been open for 7 weeks- their babies! This brings Denton to 3 places that deliver until 3am! I placed the order while I was at work and chose a time slot later so I could get home and be greeted with cookies, milk and ice cream! It's a pretty nifty idea. They are on Fry street on campus and it's very clever that students cramming into the wee hours can get their sugar high without leaving their dorm. Ordering for specific times really opens up their possibilities though- meetings, parties, sending a get well, yummy package to someone who can't leave the house. You're paying for it though. They have a $6 minimum with traditional cookies being $1.50 and deluxe cookies like S'mores being $3. They have ice cream sandwiches on cookies- a cookiewich, starting at $5.50. They do 10 inch cookie cakes serving 8 for $20 and also have brownies and ice cream and of course milk. The milk is Bordens and is sold at a premium for $3.10, though they do have all the flavors. They have deals on cookies starting from a six pack of traditional cookies for $8.25 up to 300 cookies, they're not messing around. The individual prices on items are quite high but dude, you're getting cookies delivered! To be fair to them, their delivery fee is only $1.99. I ordered a pint of cookies and cream, milk and a six pack. Full disclosure, I haven't tried the ice cream yet since it's cold out, I just got it because everyone should have ice cream in the freezer for emergencies. I just wanted to sample their offering so I ordered one each of the double chocolate mint, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter chip, snickerdoodle, sugar and white chocolate macadamia. The cookies arrived warm- score! I found the mint to be very strong but I actually got it for my husband who liked it, I think when it comes to mint you either like it or you don't. It was also a thicker consistency than the other cookies which were soft in the middle with crispy edges, the chocolate mint was a lot more dense. Their oatmeal raisin was super impressive to someone who ranks oatmeal pretty low on the cookie scale- so soft, it pulled apart like nothing and the recipe was very tasty. The peanut butter crisp is probably my favorite, the peanut butter chips were melted in and the peanut butter taste was just right. The sugar cookies are divine, they are the softest of all of the cookies with the perfect dough ratio and melt in your mouth. The snickerdoodle was okay, I've had better snickerdoodles but this wasn't terrible, just flatter than I expect and I couldn't taste much of the cinnamon. The white chocolate macadamia was... another sugar cookie instead of the white chocolate macadamia- awwww, insert sad trombone sound here. Their sugar cookie was delicious so I wasn't bothered by this, I was just wanting to sample as many of the flavors as possible. However, if I was one person in a group that ordered and MY cookie wasn't there, I would be pissed. I don't play around when it comes to my desserts. :) It's unclear to me if they mistakenly put in the sugar cookie or if they ran out and substituted it. Mistakes happen, but if they ran out, the correct thing to do would be to contact me and see if I want a different flavor. Since this is me and I love all things sweet, I was perfectly content with a second sugar, more so than the chocolate mint or snickerdoodle. When they arrived I only had a bite each so I could sample them warm and save the rest for later. Six bites of cookie and a third of strawberry milk may have me bouncing off the walls here, they are pretty rich and I ordered the least sugary options I saw (I know, right??) so beware you don't fall into a diabetic coma. If you go to their location, they open at 9am and they start delivery at 10am. Since parking is sparse in that area, at least during the week, I would say the delivery model is a smart choice. Considering this is a college town, I think they will do just fine. I don't think I will realistically order expensive cookies very often but I was thinking it was too bad I work so far away as it would be perfect for team treats. Definitely something to consider for your next event or if you are pulling an all-nighter and need that sugar rush. 4 stars for now as they are still new, a little pricey and mixed up one of my cookies. Keep in mind when seeing this rating that there isn't another business like this in town to compare how the model is working but they have sweet treats and they are indeed sweet.
