My family has come here for years. In the past I rated it 4 to 5. Bad experience tonight. Trinity, our waitress, was mediocre and didn't seem to want to be there. I ordered a whiskey burger and she didn't even ask how I wanted it done, nor could she tell me the size. When our food arrived after 30 plus minutes when there were only a couple tables occupied I asked why it was so long. Although it was not her fault she didn't even say sorry it took so long....attitude of too bad so sad. The french fries were cold and I asked to get some fresh ones. It was as if I asked for her firstborn son, no apologies again. . She came back with a plate for me to scoop the old Fries onto it so she could return them. Not that I wanted to eat them but it seemed like she thought that I wanted to have them both old and new. She did bring me out a nice plate of hot fresh fries which were good so they did correct it. The burger was overdone but I didn't want to cause more problems by returning it also. Lastly, they have a new menu out and have replaced the old menu. They've added a few new things and left a few of the old ones off which is expected. But I didn't expect a 40% increase in prices. That same burger I got for $17 which was not cooked well with so so Fries used to be $12. I don't think I will be returning to Brava's considering the large increase in cost and the decrease in quality and service. read more

Great atmosphere, warm and inviting but still urban. The menu is overwhelming for the simple fact that EVERYTHING looks so good. The urban sleek feel is fun, and the variety of music is great. Serves beer and wine as well as coffee, which is a neat choice for all day visits. We specifically asked which sandwiches were warm and got cold sandwiches but that wasn't a deal breaker. The waitress mixed up one of the meals because she didn't write down the order, we didn't notice until after the meal but it was still super good. The fall harvest salad was the best salad I have ever had, so good! But be warned when they say chips they mean a bag of ruffles. (Severely disappointing I was thinking house-made chips) It really messes with the presentation of the restaurant. read more

I made a yelp account just to give this place a 5 star review, but honestly I don't believe that 5 stars is worthy of the entree I received. I ordered their recently menu'd popper burger, boldly put together with cream cheese, bacon jelly, jalapenos, and spectacularly cooked bacon. This burger was so good that I would have given it a michelin star if I could, as it was the kind of food that transcended the simple nature of being a good meal and turned into the kind of culinary experience you would never expect from a $14 burger made in Lewiston Idaho. To any rightfully impressed readers, know that bravas probably doesn't cross the threshold of going from good to spectacular food 100% of the time, but the fact that their chefs are capable of making food of that caliber in the first place should tell you that you won't be disappointed if you choose bravas. Oh, also, their service was excellent and their venue was tasteful, I really had nothing to complain about during this visit. 10/10 read more

Working in the food industry you learn to acquire an acute taste in food. Coming here, really blew my mind and that's hard to do! Great lunch spot! Super excited about this place. Moved back into the area recently and was happy to see this restaurant along with a few others in downtown lewiston. It's been a couple of years since my first and only experience at Brava's. Today, my daughter and I decided to give it another try for lunch. I ordered the street tacos with pork (pictured). The pork was dry, and the slaw was limp. A few pickled onion slices added to the top were too tangy. The tacos needed some kind of sauce, but none was available to order. My daughter had the pasta with chicken and pesto. I did not get a picture because she sent it back to the kitchen immediately upon discovering that it was stone cold! A second plate was brought out about 10 minutes later, and it was steaming hot. Our waitress tried hard to make us happy, but her enthusiasm isn't enough to make up for mediocre food. This is a really good lunch spot in Lewiston with a really cool space and friendly staff. The do standard lunch but also cook up some quirky combinations to keep it interesting. I enjoyed their cream of asparagus soup. It was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Their sandwiches were good, but the bread was too chewy and the sandwich would benefit in texture with a little toasting. We loved stopping in here and will definitely come back. read more

Received a recommendation to try this restaurant for the bite size bites. Brittany was my waitress this evening. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered the surf and turf to get what I love, seared ahi and try the beef tenderloin bites. The salad with the homemade poppyseed dressing was fresh and delightful. The seared ahi was tender and delicious. The bite size bites were good but maybe didn't live up to what I had in mind. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! read more

To be very honest, my husband and I were originally trying to go to Stax after reading reviews, but they are closed for the month due to their owner having health issues. We flew in from Texas and are in Idaho for a wedding. Brava's was right next door to Stax so we figured why not. It is in a really cool building with a metal spiral staircase and expose brick walls. I especially liked the old church pews used as booth seating. We were immediately greeted and seated by a very friendly waitstaff, something we had yet to experience (not much southern hospitality like we are used to). I was craving soup and salad so I ordered their combo that is bottomless salad (choice of house, Garden, or Caesar) and their soup of the day, which was creamed asparagus. My husband ordered the BLT that comes with avocado. Both meals were absolutely delicious! Though simple, all ingredients were fresh and crisp. I chose their house salad with their pickled onions, almonds, and poppyseed dressing that was AMAZING. Easily the best house salad I've ever had. But, my most favorite part was the soup. It was topped with chives and had cooked chunks of asparagus in the soup. The creamy broth was smooth and rich. I had 2 large servings of it! All in all, I'm so glad Stax was closed so we could try this place. If you're a local or just visiting, this is a great lunch spot! read more

This place was terrific! I was with a group of 12 on a road trip. The server treated us fantastically and efficiently. The mac & cheese had come highly recommended, but none of us wanted to be loaded down for the rest of the day on a tummy full of cheesy goodness -- so they let us order "half orders" which were the perfect size. I had the bacon mac & cheese with a BLT salad. Yummy. (Bacon was a recurring theme around the table.) Folks ordered a variety of salads, appetizers and mac & cheeses. Not a single complaint from anyone. I was too stuffed for dessert, but those who indulged rolled out of there happy. I may never find myself in Idaho again, but if I do, I'll be back. This place has a great atmosphere, that was my first impression upon walking in the front door. The wait staff is very welcoming and easy-going. We were here to have dinner with friends, I needed a change made with one of their menu items due to a food allergy and they were able to make it happen and make it delicious! Our wait time for food was fairly short, but the restaurant wasn't busy at all for Saturday night around 7:00pm. Do NOT get the nachos if you want crispy chips. These start off slightly crunchy and turn into a wet sloppy mess after the first few. Great flavor but terrible execution. They came in a bowl and not a plate which should have been the first clue. I asked the waitress, "are they always soggy from the start?" With a reluctant facial expression she answered, "yeahhh, but they're suppsed to start out pretty crunchy." I said, "Great, good to know. I'll make a note to never get them again. Had the best meal at Brava last night I have ever had in Lewiston. The restaurant is beautiful, seating is spacious, the waitstaff was super and the food...out of this world. The salad was worth the price of admission by itself. I had the Penne Pasta with artichokes. It was huge so I took a lot home, but it was piping hot, beyond flavorful and chock full of artichokes. I have had some of the best pasta in the Bay area and on the Meditteranean, and this was at least as good or better. My spouse got the bite size steak and he said it was the best he had ever had. I tasted the zucchini which came with his steak, and normally I consider zucchini to be just"filler" but this was excellent. We had strawberry cheesecake for dessert and you could tell it wasn't some premade frozen junk like you get at a lot of restaurants. I was drawn here by the good reviews, but normally my expectations are higher than others and I find myself disappointed. There was nothing disappointing about my meal at Brava's and I wish I lived closer to eat here more frequently. I arrived with a group of 10 at about 4:00 and we were given the choice of ordering from either the lunch or dinner menu. The number of choices were just right for a restaurant that focuses on making their dishes really well. Our host (who seemed like she may have been the GM) was very nice and knowledgeable about the ingredients, and was happy to answer any and all questions. She explained that everything was made in-house and could easily be customized upon request to accommodate for any food allergies. The house salad was fresh, and dressing very tasty. Fried artichokes with lemon aoli appetizer, very yummy. For entree I ordered the Bite Size, and it exceeded my expectations. The combination of flavors was amazing, and the meat cooked perfectly as I ordered it. Many dishes were served with mashed baby red potatoes, which were divine, and the seasonal vegetables were green beans - seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sweet chili sauce on the pork medallions was raved about by any who tasted it. I could go on and on about each morsel, but I just loved every single bite. There were only two opportunities: My daughter ordered nachos without jalapeños, but were served with a good amount of diced jalapeños on them. I blame this on our server who took the whole table's order without writing anything down. When he saw us picking them off, he commented "oh, they put those on huh" but did not offer to make a new plate. I'm suspecting this is because it was his fault and he knew he'd get flac from the cook. When eating pork I prefer the meat fully cooked, but the pork medallions were slightly pink in the middle. It was still delicious, but did prevent me from eating more of it. Overall, I would come back here in an instant and recommend that everyone eat here. The prices were reasonable for the quality, and I hope to return next time we're in the area. I am not easy to impress, and I just can't say enough good things about this establishment. read more

We went in on a Friday night and got right in. The server was nice, but had very limited knowledge of the tiny menu. We had to get a new napkin, as the one wrapped around my sons silcerware was filthy! The house salads were very unique and delicious. The penne pasta was rich and flavorful. I ordered bite size medium. The first piece I cut into was RARE. I brought it to their attention and the chef personally came out and took care of it! We're new to the area and tried this place out today for lunch. Cute front outdoor patio but we set inside where it was cool. Seated quickly. Cute & clean restaurant. Food was soo good!! I have dairy intolerance and celiac and got a pesto and turkey sandwich that was delicious and AMAZING TACO SOUP!! Great gluten free bread too, which is usually hit or miss places. Our waiter, think his name was Skylar was super attentive and made sure my gf/dairy free food was up to par. He was great to us and answered lots of nutrition questions for me.
