This is a great spot to really give thanks to your customers. Food is fresh so expect a little bit of a wait. Worth it. All steak dishes were popular among my big group. Always start of with drinks and a meat and cheese board. The cheese is locally sourced. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this spot but be ready to spend.

We made reservations for Friday at 6 pm online. There's an option for inside seating or outdoor patio seating. We chose outside. Unfortunately it was raining at the time, but there's a cover to block the rain so it wasn't bad. I ordered a seasonal drink, which had lemon and Prosecco which was delicious. We also got a Mango sour beer which was amazing and perfectly sour. For appetizers we decided to try raw Oysters, since they had single options and we never tried it. It came with vinegar and lemon. Was it my favorite dish? Not really, but it was very interesting to try. We also got the Hama Hama clams which are delicious and come with a broth and bread which could be a dish in itself. For the main courses, I got the Smoked Trout Risotto. This was delicious and melted in my mouth. It is a more pricy dish but worth it. We also got the Pan Fried chicken. It was outstanding and had delicious vegetables and mashed potatoes. I'm not sure what the sauce was but it made the dish come together. I was amazed at how good the dishes were. Finally we ended up getting desserts. They are always different so this time we got the Pavlova and the Nutella mousse. The pavlova was delicious with the fresh berries and lemon curd on top. super refreshing! The Nutella Mousse was perfect for a chocolate dessert. Our waitress was super kind and attentive and made our experience great. I am excited to come here again to try something new. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in the area especially for special occasions!

Lodgepole is a must-visit in Moscow! The Ahi Tuna Crudo was fresh and bright, the house-made gnocchi was perfectly pillowy and rich, and the pan-seared chicken with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies hit all the comfort food notes. Great all-around service from Kaitlyn, a cozy vibe--already planning my next visit.

Top 10 best steaks I've ever had at a restaurant and it was the top two best pasta dish we've ever had at the restaurant! We had the chef choice steak and the rigatoni with braised beef, and finished it off with their decadent chocolate cake! Definitely 10 star!

The good: great classy vibe. fresh garnish and spices made for a nice flavor on the rigatoni. Ice cream cake was great!! Especially the cookie crust. The meh: hardly any meat in the pasta /: The bad: service was super slow! 1h 25 mins to get our entrees. I get that it's an experience but we were getting pretty hangry by the end. Overall - a nice classy restaurant, but prepare for steep prices and slower service.

An interesting place with open kitchen at the end of the restaurant, and no need to give gratuity/tips (which is clearly stated on the bill: "Lodgepole is a Non-Gratuity Restaurant. Pricing reflects your entire experience.").

First off, shout out to Michael for his friendly and professional help on the phone the fat-of, at the host desk, for checking my coat, for checking on us as we dined and being so helpful with our order. Waitress was also so friendly and knowledgeable. The pickled deviled eggs are a must-do. The mayonnaise was made in-house and it was oh-so smooth. The mushroom toast was a difficult order since we're binging The Last of Us rn, but it was very delicious and oh-so worth it. The gnocchi was so well balanced and delicious. I had pasta last night which was heavy so I was pleased with the veggies mixed in. What a pleasing mix of textures and flavors in this dish! My son took one bite of the Dutch, said it was delicious and had it packed up to take home, he wasn't hungry enough but said it was very very good. The signature Chicken dish was different, almost like a mole base. I would have liked some salt and pepper on it but it was my husband's order and he was good with it. The desserts sounded fresh and interesting but we unfortunately we ran out of time. We look forward to coming back and trying the tasting menu! Kudos to Lodgepole. Contemporary, clean vibe, quality dishes, excellent, friendly service, and hands down the best restaurant in Moscow!

Was visiting Moscow, ID for work and came across this highly rated restaurant on Yelp. It seemed like the best restaurant in the area so I was really excited to try it! While we weren't able to find a reservation on the day of, we decided to walk in and try to sit at the bar. The manager was great and was able to seat us without a reservation. (We got very lucky as it was still pretty early and they had just opened) We ordered the corn fritters, the clams, chicken, and the panna cotta for dessert. The food was good (I especially enjoyed the chicken) and the service was excellent :)

This is a must stop meal when living/visiting Moscow. This place is phenomenal- from fantastic service to watching the chefs cook, to the great food. Plan to spend $35-60 per person. Plan on going back every chance I have

Anniversary dinner! I had the market fish (halibut) and my partner had the chef's cut. Absolutely delicious!

I am extremely disappointed in my recent experience here. I've been multiple times but this time…read morewas not great. We went on a Saturday evening around 7 pm so it was not busy with plenty of seats open. We were able to walk in and be seated quickly. I wanted to order a specific drink on their menu, but they said they were out of coconut milk. So I ended up not getting the drink. They have specials and I wanted to try a salad to start. It was a spinach salad with strawberries. Sounded good but when I received it, it was literally a pile of spinach with maybe 2 cut strawberries, 4 tiny almonds and like a tablespoon of goat cheese. What?! For $13 that's the salad you receive? Sorry but who in their right mind thinks that's okay. For the main course I decided to try their seafood special, the stuffed trout. Sounds delicious, but the waitress never told me it was a WHOLE trout. I don't mind whole fish but I wasn't expecting it because it was not advertised as whole or mentioned to be whole! It had so. Many. Bones. Which of course because it's whole but if I knew I would have gotten something else! The funny thing is, the table next to us ordered the same thing after and our waitress told him it was whole, asked if he wanted a sharp knife, etc. I was NEVER offered those things once. Not only... but it was very bland. I was so disappointed in the waitress not mentioning details and the dish itself. Especially for $39 I expected way more. Also, we ordered the grilled meatloaf. We have ordered this dish handfuls of times and it's been delicious with the mashed potatoes and carrots. But they changed the recipe completely! Why fix something not broken? The meatloaf has less flavor, it's not as crispy, it's a whole different shape too. The mashed potatoes aren't even mashed potatoes anymore, it's a potato puck of some sort. I don't understand why this recipe was changed. This was the one thing that kept us returning, that and the creme brûlée. The crème brûlée was still delicious as usual but honestly besides the dessert I would not get any of these dishes again. And with today's experience I'm not sure if I'd return.

Update and rating adjustment…read more Friends from out of town wanted to eat here after seeing it. So I thought I would give it another try. Perhaps, I thought, they would do better. The bar was pretty low, after all. After sitting there a while, a young man came by and asked about what drinks we wanted. Five minutes later someone else came by and asked basically all the same things. Problems with the first one? This time I at least got my request in (never was asked the first time). Right after this, someone at the table asked for menus since we hadn't seen any yet. 15 minutes later someone came by with our drinks and asked for our order. Progress. A long wait later (26 minutes actually) the food started coming out. From walking in, to getting food was about 50 minutes. Credit given for the order all being correct. Ah, the food. I can only comment on what I and my wife got. She ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich, gluten free. What an abomination. The bread was about 2 inches wide. And tough? It was so tough it was inedible. I tried some of the meat. I am at a loss to describe it. It seemed like it was pieces of cubed steak. And flavor? I personally do not like green peppers at all. But this sandwich's flavor wouldn't have been that objectionable as I could barely detect the green peppers. The whole thing was pretty flavorless. I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger. Can't go wrong with a simple burger. So I thought. Again, flavor issues. The bigger problem was the burger. Crunchy on the edges and definitely well-done throughout. No hint of pink. Or of any moisture. I couldn't finish it. Which was a first for me. And then the bill. My wife said that before she saw it she was going to tell me to leave no tip because of the quality of the food and the minimal service we received. But the bill had 18% "gratuity included". That was news to me. I had not noticed this mentioned anywhere. I thought about discussing it but at this point I just wanted to be done with the whole thing and leave. But the most insulting part of the bill was the line for "Additional Tip". What? No chance in hell. I would like the other tip back, please, not give more. So, because of all this, I have changed my rating. It was a 2, but now I am downgrading it to a 1. And I have learned my lesson. Nobody is going to talk me into going here again.
