Lots of people shopping for flowers and treats for the day. It reminds me of a mini Whole Foods or a Fresh Thyme store and similar to Trader Joe's. I would say their pricing and ambiance is also similar to those stores. We did see some items we might go back for, but for today, we found some Easter treats for the young kids who live next door to us. We will go back, probably not for major shopping, but for a specialty item or two.

We used to buy them when we lived in Coral Springs and they would sell out quickly. Also had a shrimp sushi for $5 too! A lovely apple pie for $12.99 and a ciabatta bread. The pie was fresh, juicy and had a great crust. I went home and had a little piece of bread with farmer cheese, tomato and smoked salmon! Perfect for my lower carb diet. Glad I downloaded the Fresh Market App and can enjoy the specials they advertise every day!

While planning a charcuterie board for Christmas Eve, I found a couple of imported cracker products that were a hit with the family. Will look for them at home in California. Steaks were nicely marbled but did not grill up as well as expected. Produce varied from terrible red grapes which we ended up tossing to a reasonably priced and flavorful shell of pre-cut fruit. I prefer Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, but we did not want to drive to Naples when this store was so close. This Publix is our grocery store of choice for future trips to Bonita Springs.

Today the store was moderately busy and I could shop the aisles with ease. I love being greeted by beautiful plants and flowers when I walk in. The store is always spotless and the produce and shelves make it easy to see the products. I'm always watching my weight so I like to buy a lot of the fresh vegetables and produce. Then on to the uncured bacon without nitrates. Today there was Empire turkey breasts, which will be perfect for preparing for the high holidays. Hamburgers, frozen chicken thighs are great for a quick dinner. We bought some chicken salad which we had for our lunch. Onto the dog treats! We usually empty the shelves because Freckles loves them. Dave always finds great wines for himself and to share when we visit friends. I love the prepared foods but are wary of the high salt content. Last of all the beautiful cards for $1.00! Can't beat that price. I only wish there was a bench or somewhere to sit if I had to. I understand that stores don't want people loitering or hanging out. It's really difficult for elderly or disabled people to shop without being able to take a respite. Otherwise I don't have any complaints. The cashiers and employees are extra friendly and helpful. We have made stops at Trader Joe's all over the country and they have reusable bags designed especially to the local theme. But during Christmas time at your local Trader Joe you can buy bags that are from around the country. Really cool idea by Trader Joe's.

No upselling, no rushing...just genuine help. In a short amount of time, I had everything on my list and felt way more confident than when I walked in. The store itself is packed with variety but not overwhelming. Shelves were clean, no dust anywhere, which made it feel like products move and stay fresh. Prices were very fair, honestly better than what I found online, and portions were practical for home cooking.
