It was so nice that everything was laid out clearly. We knew how much time we had for each activity. Our first stop was to the national park. We were getting intermittent rain alternating with sunshine so it was pretty wet. Also the park is on marshlands so even more wet than normal land! lol. We got dropped off by one of the board walking trails. It's very scenic & beautiful despite the rain. The sun came out at times. So nice to get some fresh air & there were birds, frogs, fish all around. Our next stop was at the Presqu'ile lighthouse, beach & visitor center (all near each other). The beach is small & rocky but it was so nice to be near the water. After the lighthouse we got to wander around the small visitor center. It has two single washrooms, a small history room, & a small gift shop. Next was our lunch stop at the Big Apple. There are around 4 food trucks outside the main building. There's a petting zoo also. Inside the main building there are washrooms, a candy store, baked goods, souvenirs, a burger joint & a bar. I liked the big apple but it would be hard to get there without a car. I liked that we got to pay for our own lunch because that also meant we could get whatever we want. Sometimes the day trips include lunch & has a limited menu especially for people with food intolerances. After lunch we got to go to Old Mill Alpacas. Here we got to feed the alpacas, and walk the alpacas. The owner of the farm also did a quick talk about alpacas. It was very interesting! Because of the rain it was muddy of course so we got dirty but I didn't mind as I was prepared with my waterproof boots. Also short trips informed us of weather conditions in an email before the day trip. After the alpacas we had a 30 mins break for dinner at a highway enroute rest stop. Too bad these enroute places don't have better food options. Anyway short trips has no control over that. Our drop off was on time. Overall we really enjoyed our tour with short trips. We would go on another tour with them for sure. Since we don't drive or have a car this is a really nice way to see parts in Ontario we wouldn't normally be able to see.

We've booked two trips to Dominican Republic, one to Cuba and one to Las Vegas through Breakaway and have been very pleased every time. First of all, breakaway is a small operation, so often, we end up working with some of the same people each time we come in. There's no pressure to book - I'm not sure if they make commissions, but they certainly don't come off as pushy. They have always been happy to provide us with as much information as we'd like. Many of the agents here travel extensively and often, at least one of the agents in the room has been to whatever resort you're looking into booking, so you can get a first hand account of what the resort was like. One thing they do in particular is they'll ask you what's important to you in a trip - does it have to have a great beach? lots of pools? certain age range? extra activities? they'll take all of that into account when they make recommendations for your travel. I've really enjoyed this part because other places expect you to have done all the research on your own when you go in to book, and most of them haven't travelled to the locations we've been looking at, so we get zero feedback about the resort itself. For example, when we booked Cuba, our rep was very clear that a few areas had rock only beaches, something that was an absolute no for us, so we knew to stay away from that area altogether. Lastly, no matter what we choose, they ALWAYS have the best price. We always try to cost out resorts/flights before we go in so that we're not surprised by the end bill, and consistently, with every single trip we've booked, they've come in under the costs we've been given online and have often gotten us better deals than what's available on the internet. 100% recommend - the only caveat is that the offices could use a big makeover. It looks a bit shabby when you walk in and its awkward standing by the door waiting for a rep to be available (they do lots of phone bookings too).

From start to finish, this was an extremely professional and well-organized experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the day. One of the best parts is how convenient the pickup system is -- they have pickup locations near all the major hotels in Toronto, which makes the whole process incredibly easy for travelers. There are several add-on options for the tour, and I highly recommend three of them: 1. The boat ride into the falls 2. Journey Behind the Falls 3. The helicopter ride The helicopter ride especially is one of those "you only live once" experiences. If it's outside your budget, though, the boat ride and Behind the Falls are still more than enough to make for an amazing full day. One thing I'd personally skip is the tower stop. The views are fine, but honestly the tower in Toronto is much better. Now for the one major warning: the cancellation and rescheduling policy is brutal. Even if your flight is delayed or canceled and you provide proof, you are still out the full amount. No refund, no reschedule, no flexibility. We learned this the hard way after our flight got badly delayed. I contacted them hoping to move our booking to the next day and basically got told, "good luck and goodbye." That said... the story has a happy ending. We ended up sprinting through the airport, grabbing a taxi directly from the terminal to the pickup location, and arrived at 8:03 for an 8:00 AM pickup. I had been communicating with them during the chaos and they agreed to hold the bus for five minutes. We used three of those five minutes like it was the final scene of an action movie... but we made it. In the end, I absolutely recommend this tour. Just book carefully, maybe avoid scheduling it immediately after your arrival flight, or get travel insurance for peace of mind. If you plan ahead, you're going to have an incredible time with a professional, organized tour company at Niagara Falls.

Our tour director, Eliane, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Roxanne, our driver, was amazing as she navigated Manhattan traffic, taking the bus through spots that most would avoid even in a compact car. The bus itself was clean, although the seats were less than comfortable for such a long drive, even with frequent rest stops. The hotel was lovely, and breakfasts were very good. We likely will not do another bus tour, preferring to set our own schedule, but this was an excellent way to see New York for the first time.

Our Tour Director was Natasha and Driver named Miriam on a Kunkel coach bus. The trip was scheduled for travel on day 1 and 4. Day 2 and 3 was a guided tour and happened to be two of the hottest & humid days in NYC; 90 followed by 100 degrees temperature only! The hotel was very nice and the guided part of the trip was just enough history and information about the sights to make it a very memorable vacation. Crossing the border was an unbelievable experience, both TO in record time and BACK having the bus searched, all luggage and all passengers had to carry in all their belongings & purchases into the Customs office for processing. We noticed that there was a separate area for people who pre-reserved lunch. I think it's a pre-set menu and it's catered by the McEwan company. The food coming out looked really tasty! We asked if they had a food menu as we were looking for a charcuterie board or something to snack on while tasting the wine, however they do not have a food menu unless you reserve in advance. Although this was a bit of a bummer, the server told us she would bring us some snacks for the wine tasting. We each had the 4 wine tasting flights and were able to choose 4 wines from their extensive list. I tried their sparkling wine, rose, a red and a white and they were pleasant but not the most amazing wines I've ever had. I liked the flavour profile of the rose and the sparkling was really light and crisp. The white and red were just OK for me. The server was knowledgeable and helped to offer suggestions based on my preferences. As promised, she also brought us some bowls with chips, nuts and dried fruit, and tarali. These were great for munching on as well as palate cleansers between the wines. I particularly enjoyed the ambiance of this winery. On a beautiful breezy summer day, it was absolute heaven sitting out on the patio and sampling some tasty wines. I would love to come for a meal one day however they only serve lunch at this time. We even had the owner come over and chat with us for a while to make sure we were enjoying our time. The wines in the retail portion of the winery are super reasonable, I don't think any wines were over $20. This is a nice way to support local business without breaking the bank. Overall this is a wonderful way to spend an hour or so. The flight of wine was only $10 and the wines are also inexpensive to purchase so this makes for an affordable afternoon out. I loved the views and European feel of the winery; it truly made me feel like I was far away without having to step on a plane!

Beautiful islands, easily reachable by ferry from downtown Toronto…read more I love coming here by the earliest ferry when the weather is nice, and leaving before the crowds hit around 10-11am. Early morning, it's quiet and peaceful and all the birds are out singing. The beaches are also empty at that time, giving you plenty of breathing room to just sit and admire the beautiful waves and water. You could dip your toes too, but Lake Ontario is not that warm, heh. The sand dunes have eroded in recent months due to high water levels, but conservation efforts are taking place. And I know cormorants get a lot of hate, but they are magnificent birds. Watching them fish, and take off from the water is quite a sight. Please don't let this gem be ruined by the province's plan for a bigger airport. Protect our nature, appreciate it while we can, and leave it for future generations...
