My daughter and I went here on Saturday bc she had a flat tire. Tyrese was very friendly and knowledgeable about the tires. The service was fast and he was efficient. The only problem was it freezing outside and no coffee or anything a vending machine was in your lobby. I feel that costumers should be accommodated a little while waiting. read more

Customer Relations could be better. Simply horrible. I challenged them on a mistake they created. Then they tried to charge me for thier mistake. Once I refused, they fixed the mistake and insisted that we end the business relationship. Suggested I take my vehicle to the dealer and I did. Cost more but service was EXCELLENT! read more

First the upsides: They present with a pleasant demeanor, both on the phone and in person. They have a great system in which, after they inspect your car, they send you a link which shows you pictures and descriptions of your car's problems and estimates for each repair. Then you can check the ones you want to do, omit the ones you want to skip and authorize the repairs, all with a few clicks. Now the downsides: They're massively overpriced. Many places change a diagnostic fee if you don't do the repair there. But the convention is that, if you have them do the work, the fee is applied towards the repair. Not here. Even if you have them do the work, you have to pay the diagnostic fee on top of the repair cost. But that's really only a minor complaint. The more major issue is the prices they charge for the repairs themselves. They presented a lengthy list of recommended repairs for my car. I thought the prices seemed way too high, so I checked with the dealer. For every single repair, Braxton's price was at least 50% higher than the dealer's price. In one case Braxton's price was nearly 5 times higher! Braxton wanted $1560 for a repair for which the dealer charges $344. Everybody knows the dealers aren't cheap, so if you're charging more than them, you're way overpriced. Had I done all the recommended repairs at Braxton it would have cost me several thousand dollars more than the dealer. Sorry, I just can't throw away money like that. read more

My college-ages daughter had a 2009 Mini Cooper, yes had. It was totaled out by my insurance company. Braxton kept it running great, was always timely, had great communication and just good people. I usually work with Bobbie and she is just the best. I never feel like they are trying to get over and she will tell it to you straight and let you make the decision. I took my car here after it had some emergency check engine light problems, my first experience here. They were able to fit it in for the next day when I called. Overall I think they really cared about fixing my car and I appreciated the report and detailed feedback about what was wrong. However, the communication lacked a little bit. They said they'd have my car done by the end of the day hopefully or lunch time the next day at the very latest, but it ended up going until the next day in the evening. By the end of the first day, they said they misread the problem and needed to add another fix, which was another $400. It was a little disappointing to hear. The next day, I was called at lunch time to come pick it up but then was told 20 minutes later they called too early and needed about another 2 hours with the car. I was in the middle of walking there and had to turn around, and then was finally called 5 hours later to come again. The car runs well again, but the bill seemed a little high ($1500) for fluid replacement and two sensors replaced. Overall I appreciated the work done but had a little weird of an experience. read more

Jason, I want to make it clear to you just in case it wasn't quite clear. First off, Thank you and your team for your email and doing the best you can. Just know, I am not asking you for a refund, what I am asking is that your company fix my car as promised . It's kind of heartbreaking that I spent a huge amount of money on repairs $6000-$8000 with your company only to have the owner talk to me in a disrespectful manner and then say, we can't serve you any longer. I stated to him a few things that was said to me and he basically called me a liar. He didn't care to listen to my concerns about my car. I was very disappointed in his behavior but I should have expected this coming from Mr. Charlie. He's just a man. All I wanted was my car to be fixed as promised. You don't give people your word and then go back on your word or not be able to hold up the word If you stated that you fixed my oil leaks and I call saying there's oil in my garage on the ground, I would think the nice "Christian" thing to do, is to say bring the car back so that we can make sure its nothing we did wrong. That's what true character is about. I think you all should take those scriptures down until you learn how to respect other people and live it. You can't be a hearer only, you got to live it out. No one is asking for anything free. I just wanted to see results. A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. Proverbs 22:1 and right now, what your company represents is not good character. FYI: I read several reviews and was totally shocked at what I read. The attitude of the owner, I experienced the same as someone else wrote about. So, I couldn't rebuttal what was said about Mr. Charlie. I don't know what could have gone wrong, I don't know if the workers were having a bad day, was feeling lazy or thought, this is a woman let me patch up the car and give it back to her thinking I wouldn't know or maybe it was because you weren't there to watch the sheep do the right thing. Due to covid, parts have extremely long wait times and because they couldn't provide me a loaner car I had to go with the dealership, but I will always use Braxton first. read more

Took my Range Rover there because the air condition would not work. The told me I need a compressor and condenser. My warranty company came and said I need just the compressor. They wouldn't do the job unless both were changed out. I took the job to another shop and had them change out the compressor sent by the warranty company and Rover has been running now for another 15k with no problems.....Saved myself about 2k not listen to them. tried them another time when thinking my trans was slipping. They charged me $200 to say the trans is fine but we think its something else but it will cost you another $189 for us to tell you what it is..........you tell me what that sound like.....I've been with them for 3 plus years but it's time to move on. read more

I have had work done at Braxton before and was satisfied however, this past week I needed a low beam head light put in. I had called another mechanic shop and they were going to charge me $50 to put it in. Another mechanic quoted me $20. I went to AutoZone bought the bulb went to Braxton and Jason kindly put it in for free. now granted my headlights are easy to put in but still he didn't have to do that. So far, so good. I love my mechanic, but after months wrestling with a persnickety electrical issue, I decided I needed a fresh pair of eyes on the machine. And the folks at Braxton confirmed our diagnosis. It was the insistence on using a genuine Volvo switch that seems to have made the difference. Mr. Braxton himself is usually behind the counter. These guys not only charged more for the same work but managed to "find" another $5000 of work that my car "needed". So the car that I drive is a MINI, meaning that it can be rather difficult to find the right people to service my car. The dealer is always an option, but as they are notoriously overpriced (last time I went, they tried to suck $125 out of me for a routine oil change), I usually try to scout out some neighborhood automobile specialist. Braxton very luckily is located right near Georgia Tech, so I went over for an oil change (they also service Volvo, BMW, and Land Rover). MINI (as well as BMW) very conveniently will take only synthetic oil which I knew might possibly cost a hair bit more than a typical oil change.... but a red flag did come up when I was quoted $85 for an oil change. $85?? Seriously? I can take my parents' Lexus to the dealer and get an oil change AND a free car wash AND a free cup of coffee AND free wifi while I wait for less than that! As a rule I try to go to local, smaller businesses to try and help them instead of feeding the big dogs.... but I really do not appreciate them trying to take advantage of 1) my age and 2) my gender. After the oil change, I was then of course told the fifty other things that my car needed, but after hearing their quoted prices, I knew I had to back off (I'm not a dumbass, okay). Too bad, Braxton... had you been fair to me, I probably would have stayed on as a loyal customer! read more

Took my BMW 528iX in Friday (1/15/16) for an oil change. Everything was great when I left. Informed me I needed rear breaks in a couple month, depending on the driving. Well on Sunday I'm driving to church w/ my children & I notice smoke. Is this my car smoking?!? Then I smell the smoke. I pull over on Godby Rd (even more) & notice OMG it is my car smoking. I turn the car off, lift the hood & instantly all the oil is spewing out the bottom of my car onto the pavement coming through the undercarriage guard. WTW!!! I call & leave a message on Braxton's VM. I can't find the info for their towing service. I couldn't start the car b/c when I tried (to get out the of the road) the car shook like it was having a seizure & the computer said DANGEROUS ENGINE PRESSURE. I end up having to push my car into a spot & calling Uber to get us home. Thank God the sun was shining bright or else we would've froze. My guess, the technician didn't tight the bottom oil cap properly (hey tech's heres a tip: double check your work!!) Eventually w/ driving, the weather elements & engine pressure it FINALLY busted off. I'm praying there's no damage to my engine. I'll be calling Braxton as soon as they open in the morning. It'll be great if someone would call me 1st! I have to rent a car (Uber there, more $, I want reimbursement) to get to work tomorrow & my children to gymnastics. I have to get my car towed, at least to my house, so it doesn't get stolen or vandalized. If it wasn't so expensive I'd get my car towed to Braxton's. I missed church & had to rearrange my Sunday Funday plans. I'll do another post after I see how Braxton handles this ULTIMATE FAILURE. Ughh what a way to end my weekend. Update: Well Braxton's took full responsibility for my car troubles. Anthony was assertive in responding to my complain. He did not make me feel like the incident was my fault. He answered all of my questions. They are replacing my engine. They have provided me w/ a rental & reimbursement for the rental I had. I am so relieved to find a honest & trustworthy company. With so many companies bamboozling hard working folks, it is a breath of fresh air to know that Braxton's has turned this ultimate failure into a sigh of relief. Great job Braxton's! Went to Braxton on Howell Mill for an oil change and they told me I needed an additional $3,600 dollars worth of work to my BMW due to needing to "replace leaking oil pan gasket," "replace leaking front struts" and "replace front lower forward control arms - bushings worn." I obtained a print-out of these "necessary" items. Given this surprising and unexpected cost, I then took it to another BMW specialist in town for a second opinion; and they said I needed NONE of this work done, and that all of these items were just fine. Instead, all I needed was an oil change. You can make your own conclusion as to whether I will ever go back to Braxton. read more

After reading the review of this Katie character and dealing with Braxton for a few months now I thought i'd give an account of my experience. I rarely rate anyone, but I made an exception this time. I have been there for a radiator replacement and oil change for my BMW wagon. My car is currently there for a water leak issue. I continue to go back for several reasons 1) For a foreign car specialist their rates are very competitive and FAIR 2) Their facility is super clean and professional (no oily hole in the wall, but no bells and whistles either) 3) I do NOT feel like they are trying to get over in the least bit. 4) They provide complimentary cab service if they have to keep your car for an extended period. They have on several occasions made minor repairs like plugging my flat tire and fixing a clogged windshield wiper tube FREE of charge. I don't want to write a novel just want to say that this place is GREAT t and before people post negative comments they should have grounds for doing so. Katie's age is clearly showing here. Getting an oil change for $85 on a luxury car with synthetic oil is not only standard, but fair. Braxton automotive has been great in my experience and I plan to continue to patronize them although I would like to see them less often :). Which brings me to another issue. If you have a used BMW buy a WARRANTY they suck in my opinion, but hey that's just my opinion. I had a mercedes and Toyota and Nissan previously and rarely had any issues. This BMW has been 1 issue after another but Braxton is the place that I will continue to go for diagnosis and an HONEST estimate. read more

This location has the best customer service ever my technician was Anthony. I have a 2010 Volkswagen CC that came in with a major problem and they accommodated me on fixing my car the best of their ability . He called me everyday and gave me details and details on my car when it was getting fixed previous to my visit to automotive I took my car to dealer and they did a half job on my car . I'm saying this to say this Anthony really cares and they help you out at their best and give you all the options at this location everyone is friendly they also give you advice when you think you have no more hopes with your cars . I try not to write a bad review when I'm upset, so I intentionally waited several months to write this one. I have been taking my 2006 BMW 325i to Braxton for a few years now, (but mostly for small, relatively inexpensive stuff), and they were great. As my car aged, I started to need more complex repairs. Over the past two years, I have had to take my car back at least twice to fix the same repair on four separate occasions and 75% of the time, I paid additional money (1) I took my car in because I was having a delayed start. After testing it, Braxton told me I needed a new battery. I told them that I was 100% sure it wasn't the battery because the batter I had wasn't even a year old. They assured me that they'd done all of the testing and it was indeed the battery. I paid for the repair and a few days later, my car was doing the same thing. I took it back and they told me it was the alternator and I had to pay for that as well. To cover up the mistake, they told me that I would have probably needed a new battery anyway since the alternator was drained. I let it go. (2) Last summer, (2015) I took my car in for new brakes and a hose replacement. I went to pick it up and Braxton told me that while trying to replace the hose, they mistakenly broke the radiator so I needed to come back the next day to pick it up. They replaced it for free but between the complete brake job and the hose, I was out of about $1,300. The next day, I noticed that my brakes were literally screeching. My coolant light was also on. I took my car back and had the brakes re-fixed but was told that they couldn't find anything wrong with the coolant light but they did tighten the cap and it went off. (3) Around Christmas time (2015), my car wouldn't start so I had it towed to Braxton. The coolant light had also come back on. I was told that the CAS System had gone out and needed to be replaced. The part needed to be ordered from BMW and would take a week. I got my car back but between the week in the rental car and the repair cost, I was out about $900. They also told me that the radiator cap needed to be replaced in order for the coolant light to go off. A couple of days later my car was doing the EXACT same thing. I had to have it towed in again. This time, I was told that one of the battery cables was defective. Two more days in a rental car plus more repairs that I had to pay for. I questioned them as to whether it was the CAS system in the first place (since it broke down again with the exact same issues just a few days afterwards) but they did not have a valid answer. (4) A few weeks later, I had to have my car towed to Braxton once again. This time, the water pump and thermostat needed to be replaced. The coolant light was also back on. This time, I was told that some device/mechanism in the coolant tank needed to be replaced. Once again, I paid more money for the same repair. I understand that my car is 10 years old but I have taken VERY good care of it. It still has under 121K miles on it. That being said, I don't mind paying to have it repaired and at that age, I should expect to spend money on repairs. This notwithstanding, I should not be expected to waste time and money paying and repaying for the same repairs. My thought is that they were essentially playing a game of operation with my car and not properly diagnosing or fixing the problems. I added up my repair costs from 2015 when I was doing my taxes and they came out to nearly $3,000 (and that doesn't include the repairs mentioned in #4 because they occurred in 2016). Needless to say, I will not be back. Oh, I also took my car to the dealership for the last oil change in May and guess what they told me, I'll need new brakes next time! So much for that $1,300 I spent with Braxton. read more

I was a loyal customer for about 3 years. However, the prices are not Ny better than the dealership. In fact when I had to have my water pump replaced, their price was exactly the same as the dealer. When I ha d to get 90k service, the dealer price was lower. So where is the benefit in using them vs dealer? None. At least at dealer, I get a loaner car and a car wash. I also feel like they are always trying to tack on different services. I don't like that. read more

Better hospitality than your dealership. I took my range rover sport here for a regular service and to get my brakes pads changed. Sam answered my call and set me up with an appointment , they offered me a cab ride to my office after dropping my truck at Braxton. Service was completed on time as expected and a full detail explanation was given about the service and the brakes pads. Sam was very polite and answered all my questions. I will go back to Braxton and continue to use their services. read more

Went in with great expectations, per the reviews here and on other websites. My Volvo was past warranty, but that doesn't affect the issues I experienced. I'd be told "we will give you a call at X time." Multiple times, no call. I'd have to call for an update on my vehicle. I submitted my key of course, to have the car serviced. It came back broken, and I'm paying for the new part (true, it's not under warranty. But I brought that key in in mint condition). Also, Braxton was so kind to set up a rental for me (I paid for), but the receptionist communicated wrong details about delivery to me, and I wasn't picked up until 45 minutes after I was told I would be. Overall, I wish I'd gone to Dyer & Dyer. Now I know not to cheat on Dyer & Dyer with anyone else -- costs are too comparable and Dyer is worth the little bit extra to have pristine service! read more

They did the job well and seamlessly, but they definitely did it way over priced. They kept convincing me that they're "$96 diagnostics that most other people say they waive is just them being up front about prices and then their actual services are cheaper". I accepted that. That was wrong. because they also "promise that they're always well within the suggested pricing on repairpal.com" - well, they were, but the very highest side of it, and when you add in the "$96 diagnostic" that, indeed, most people waive after you get the work done, it put them WELL OVER the TOP END of suggested pricing for a pretty standard thing - a starter replacement. I was really disappointed. Will try another place next time. Just for future reference guys, saying over and over that you're prices are competitive doesn't make you magically competitive - and that doesn't convince people anymore. I took my 2008 BMW 535i to Braxton because the day before my car wouldnt start. I had to get a jumpstart to make it home and had to get another jumpstart to take to shop. Craig, whom I spoke was friendly and I felt he was honest and genuine. He told me there were 2 types of battery my car may need and gave me a price estimation and made sure both were stock. What I thought was going to be an all day affair on a Friday, holiday weekend, I was able to take it there at 10:30 and was out by 12:30. I figured it was my battery and Braxton confirmed that was the issue. The damage wasnt too bad, $206, compared to the $560 I was quoted at Global Imports BMW dealership. Craig even gave me a mini tutorial under the hood of my car. Granted, it hasn't been a full 24hours since I left the shop, so Im hoping this was smooth 1x repair and wont have to come back for anything until my next scheduled maintenance. I have been getting the oil changed on my 328xi here for a couple years now. Everyone has always been courteous, professional, and helpful. Today I brought my car in thinking I needed a new spark plug, as my engine was misfiring. They called me and let me know it was just a sensor, and never charged me for the engine diagnostic I had signed off for. It's nice, especially as a female, not to worry that you are being mislead or taken advantage of. Unfortunately it has happened to me at other places.
