I had a horrible experience at the North Druid Hills location were I was sexually harassed by the Manager Bernie. I'm a reoccurring customer at this location and was just coming to get a brake inspection. He commented on my appearance as soon as I walked up to the desk noticing my bleach blonde hair and he asked me "Does your downstairs match your upstairs?" referring to my pubic hair. I was appalled and asked him to clarify what he meant because I was in shock, and he then said "Just think about it, you'll know what it means." I am a young women in my 20's coming to get a regular service and was greeted with a gross interaction and was made to feel unsafe. I will not be coming back to this location and will advise anyone to stay away as long as Bernie is still employed here. I talked to district manager Steve, and he said they would be opening an investigation. I'm writing this review to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

While they didn't have the tire I needed in stock, they got it the next day, and I was able to come by at my convenience to have the tires installed in my Subaru Forester. I was there maybe 45 minutes and then on my way. I will definitely return to midtown tire in toco hills again! read more

It's rare to get great customer service and reliability in the same visit anywhere. Well, I happened to get both and prompt care without an appointment. I came in early before they opened and they handled my alignment extremely quickly, with a color printout of before and after so I could see the results plainly. I recently had a flat tire and called a few tire shops around town to find out the prices of a new tire & how quickly I can be helped since I had to get back to work ASAP. Unlike some of the tire shops I called, even though my question was on how much a tire costed, the staff also informed me that they would inspect the tire first to see if they can repair it first. The man who took my call also let me know that they can get busy and booked me an appointment for 9am. I quickly made my way there and was helped immediately by the same man who took my call. He informed me that it could take about 30-45min, which was a pretty accurate estimate. I was happy that they took care of my flat tire quickly and professionally. One thing I think would be helpful next time is if they could include the cost of the labor so that I could get better idea of the actual cost of the whole process. I've been going to midtown tire for service for the past 3 years. As a single woman, I always appreciate mechanics who show respect, make sure you understand any issues your car may be having and are honest. The guys at Midtown always did this but definitely went above and beyond when I needed them. Right before a long Christmas road trip in 2016, I took my car in for service and they discovered my water pump was leaking. The part needed to be ordered and of course, was a day late being delivered, and I was close to not making it to my parents for Christmas. They made sure I was kept abreast of everything going on, went to the dealer to pick up the part and came in early to make sure I would be able to get on the road that morning. I went to this location to get a price on replacing a CV axle joint and I was given a price of nearly $600 for labor and the part was over $200. This price far exceeded the dealers price. I finally consulted a friend who sent me to a very good mechanic. The part was less than $100 and the labor was only $120. It took him all of 30 minutes to pull the old part out and put the new part in. So my question is, why on earth were they about to charge me nearly $600 for 30 minutes of labor? I certainly don't mind paying for the services that I need but I don't appreciate the attempt at gouging. read more

work was done that several people were told not to do and I was charged anyway. The work that was done to fix the turning signal that keeps going out was misdiagnosed by their "electrical diagnostic" and all of the expensive work that they did to fix the electrical system that continues to affect the turn signal did not work ! I experienced hostility from the manager Mr. Clay over the dispute. these are the type of people that give mechanics a bad name, I would suggest going elsewhere to get your car serviced. very shady... read more

After a few oil changes and no bad experiences, I thought I'd found a reliable mechanic in the Goodyear at Midtown Tire - Toco Hills. However, when I took my car in to get its transmission looked at my experience was quite different. Four bad things happened in a row: 1. The first clerk immediately recommended another shop -- Mr. Transmission -- and was practically dissuading me from getting a diagnosis at the GoodYear (in retrospect, I should have taken the hint). I asked if they could just get me a diagnosis anyway, since I didn't have a lot of time. A second clerk got my name and number and took my key to look at the car. 2. My car was in at 9:30. The shop wasn't overly busy (not many cars in the lot, one guy in the waiting area) but it still took three to four hours to get a call back on my car. Apparently, the transmission needed a full replacement, which wasn't far off from what I was expecting to hear. But as for an estimate on repairs, there was nothing. Apparently, they'd have to do a more extensive look to provide an accurate number. So three hours, with nothing to show for it. 3. As I'm getting my key back, the clerk who looked at my car slides an invoice my way. To the tune of $72. A) I don't remember ever being informed of a $72 diagnostic fee. B) $72 to walk away without an estimate after three hours? Wow. Talk about highway robbery. 4. When I questioned the $72 fee I was immediately given attitude. The clerk's whole demeanor instantly changed from one of your average service clerk to that of a belligerent bully. After a single question. I have since taken my car to Mr. Transmission and Curry Honda for a diagnosis. Both places say the transmission needs to be replaced. However, neither charged one cent toward a diagnostic fee. Telling, isn't it? Shame on Midtown Tire - Toco HIlls. Needless to say I'll never return to this shop and will be avoiding Goodyear for a good while. read more

They offer other services other than tire installation here, such as break jobs, oil changes, AC repair, and lots of stale coffee and outdated magazines. Make sure to bring a coupon for oil changes that they send in the mail, they are WAY too over priced without it here. Not to mention, they are WAY too busy on Saturday, maybe because they're closed on Sundays. read more

In the course of a month, I had two flat tires, both for the same weird coincidental reason: busted valves. These guys fixed them reasonably enough. So when I needed an oil change, rotation, & balance, I figured these guys had done a good job so I'd be a loyal customer. Three hours later (yikes! Strike One), they finally finished up with it all. I get into my car, and I run the wipers because it's drizzly...and as soon as I do, there's this thick cloud of crap all over my windshield that's so thick that I can't see at all. Somehow in the process of changing my oil, they managed to get a good bit of it on my windshield. Strike Two! I ask for some paper towels, but they insist on cleaning it up for me even though the shop's about to close. They drive it back into the garage, and thirty minutes later they drive it back out. The mechanic declared it "The Cleanest Glass in Atlanta!" but I beg to differ; it's been almost a week, raining every friggin day, and there's still a noticeable (and at times borderline-dangerous) fog on my class from the residue. But here's the real kicker. The following night, I was going to leave a friend's house way up in the suburbs. It was raining, so I had the wipers on, and I'm not a mile from her place when-- *POP!* At first I couldn't figure it out. Did something hit my windshield? But no, I soon saw it as my wipers ran again: the wiper blade snapped and was in the process of falling off, with the little stick now dragging across my glass with no blade attached. WTF, mates? Like, seriously? Strike Three. Any idiot can clean a windshield, but it takes a special kind of idiot to break a friggin wiper blade in the process! If they can't clean a glass without breaking a wiper blade, I'd hate to know what else they can damage. read more

Very happy with my experience! My car was initially towed to AAA Car Care Plus who tried to charge me $1100 including unnecessary replacements/services, and at Midtown Tire I was charged less than $500 including towing (they have a discount with a particular towing company). Explained the problem and their plan/prices clearly to me, including the source of my problem (a rodent ate my fuel line!), which AAA had not identified/communicated. I have been to this location three times, mostly because it is in close proximity to where I go to the doctor and buy groceries. Unfortunately it would be completely unreasonable for me to advocate taking your car to them for repairs. While my initial impression was that they were attempting to scam me, further review revealed that they really just don't know what day of the week it is. My most recent experience consisted of taking an estimate/invoice that they themselves had made and asking if they could check up on it/do the repairs. Well, after two hours all they had done was added two pounds of freon; they forgot about all repairs on the invoice that I had come in regarding in the first place. When I mentioned this to them, they did the exact same diagnostics that they had done to make the invoice in the first place and then charged me for them a second time. I guess I could have argued about it, but at point I was content to accept my losses and take my car elsewhere for work. read more

Hit a huge pot hole on 285 and somehow it kept pressure. Gave me enough time to call around for best pricing and led me to midtown tire. My tire is not commonly in stock but they had it on site within an hour. They said install would take 20 minutes but took the hour I expected. My first review was a little negative but Midtown Tire came through and I value their service. About seven months ago I went to Midtown Tire for and oil change. After it was completed I noticed they put 5W 30 oil in my car. When I checked the owners manual it said to use 0W 20 for normal use or 5W 20 for extreme cold temperatures. When I showed this to the man behind the counter he promptly said, "5W 30 is universal and goes into every car. Your car will be fine." I wasn't too happy about this and wrote a review here on yelp. The manager saw the review and said I should come in for a full refund. When my car was up for another oil change seven months later, I walked in and spoke with the man behind the counter about my previous experience. He very much apologized and gave me an oil change with the correct weight free of charge. It is great to see a business that puts customers first and I will bring my vehicle back to Midtown Tire for service again without hesitation. read more
