Return customer purchased a new Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. Washer is constantly breaking dryer takes multiple cycles to dry clothing absolutely terrible product that has been a nightmare. We had a technician come out and confirm that the model has frequent issues. We were told there is no way for us to return exchange or get any assistance with making this right in any way. This store sold us a bad product then refused to exchange the product even if we pay the difference to get a better set of machines. Will never shop here again. We try and support local businesses but this is why national larger retailers are often better for the consumer. Bray and Scarf called me to try and make this right. Promised to fix this issue and work with us to get us a washer dryer that worked. They sent out another tech who said nothing was wrong with the units. We received another error message right when they left and all the problems we previously had still persist. Non of the promised follow ups happened after that. It would have been better if they had not reached out at all. Just goes to show that the initial assessment of this company was correct. I have never received this level of such poor customer service. We are now going to be forced to purchase a while new washer and dryer because this company refuses to do the right thing. I wish I could give them negative stars. Bray & Scarff sold my bed-ridden neighbor an expensive refrigerator that failed right after the warranty expired. She paid a significant amount to have it repaired, only for it to break down again. When she purchased a replacement from them, it began leaking just three months later. Now, they're demanding a $139 service fee just to inspect the issue. Bray & Scarff clearly does not stand behind their products or services. I bought a new Speed Queen washer and dryer. The dryer does not dry. Over a period of a few weeks I ran the dryer only three times. I tried different settings thinking I was doing something wrong. Same result. I am getting no cooperation in getting this fixed although I paid nearly $4,000.00 for these appliances. I have been on hold waiting for service response for a very long periods of time. I was told I must call Speed Queen. Patrick gave me the number and said he would give them the serial number information. They knew nothing of this when I called. In the summer of 2024, we had our dishwasher replaced by Bray & Scarff in what was nothing short of a tumultuous ordeal. Long story short: horrific customer service, horrific service department, and a collection of people collecting paychecks at a company with no general interest or respect for your time, money, or concerns. Fast forward to today. That "new dishwasher" broke (dishwasher works, external panel with readouts and messages doesn't ), and a new part was ordered. Received a call on Friday letting me know the technician will arrive between 9 and 1pm on Monday. It is now almost 2pm on Monday. No call. Nothing. I'm on the phone with Bray & Scarff now -- my phone tells me I've been on hold for 32 minutes. Save yourself the headaches and do not do business with this company. They are charlatans who will sell you charm on the showroom floor. When push comes to shove, and they actually have to stand behind their products, they provide a level of service one step below prison guards to inmates. Bray & Scarff does not have a customer service team -- I truly believe they have gotten rid of it or never had one. They truly do not care about their customers after sale. I had had a good experience with the Arlington store in the past and I try to pick local even though it costs more (and it definitely did) but this place is a nightmare. Nothing is in stock so you are guessing what things will look like. I changed one item pre-delivery and over a month later they still have not refunded nearly $400. delivery was a disaster as despite the fee for each and every appliance the installers were completely incompetent and didn't hook up my ice-maker. I tipped them well, too, not realizing what they had (not) done. when I brought up my issues and the fact I had to pay a plumber to come hook up my ice maker that I had already paid and tipped to have connected I got a vague promise to contact corporate but never heard anything. And still no refund. what a bunch of scammers. I could have had the same appliance suite for $2,000 less also. it is a shame they ruined their company like this. read more

Among other problems, the repairman they sent ordered the wrong part - one we did not need. In short, after two months and spending hundreds of dollars, our Bosch dishwasher was no closer to working than when we began. And they refused to reimburse us any of the money we paid needlessly. Only got my refrigerator after waiting 12 MONTHS!! In March 2021 I sold my house and used the equity in sale to purchase a total fixer upper that no on wanted - even in the COVID sellers market. I'm a single working mother of two toddlers but dug deep and used all my strength, limited funds and can-do attitude and fully flipped the new house. The first thing I wanted was a GE Cafe white matte with copper handle kitchen set as I've had my eyes on it for years and have been saving. It was my one high end designer splurge. I lived near the Bray & Scarff on Richmond Highway, Alexandria and the first thing I did when I signed the deed on my new house was go to Bray & Scarff to purchase my dream GE cafe kitchen kit. I used all my savings to buy the cafe kitchen set, and 2 washer and 2 dryers, spending $14552 in one day, in which I left a $8552 deposit. This was on 25 Mar 2022. It's been 444 days and I have yet to receive the cafe oven I purchased over 14 months and 19 days ago. I've been living without an over this entire time. It's a big gap in my kitchen. The oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave the previous users were completely broken and were removed from the premise when I remodeled my kitchen. It's been challenging because I have 2 toddlers and as a single mother I live in a multigenerational house since the cost of living is so high so my disabled parents and my BFF and her daughter also live with me. We've all have been without an over this entire time. When I purchased the kitchen set from Bray & Scraff they estimated that it would take 2-8weeks to deliver my oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave and pressured me repeatedly that my order would be prioritized and delivery would be expedited if I pay the balance in full. I did not want to b/c i did not want to tie up my only money. Mid May, I relented after a couple of weeks of pestering and used the reminder of my savings to pay for the kitchen appliances. I should have known there were problems ahead when the microwave came 27 May and the dishwasher wasn't delivered until 14 Jun. The refrigerator did not come until 1 Mar 22 - almost a full year. It was ridiculous. Every time I called Sandy, the salesperson said he couldn't give me estimated arrival dates. I have countless emails to him saying he doesn't know when my fully paid for appliances will arrive. I asked multiple times for a loaner fridge and oven am told it's not feasible by Sandy. I didn't get delivery updates on my order unless I asked. In November 21, ahead of the holidays I asked to return the dishwasher and microwave because I didn't want to do another day without a fridge or oven but I was told Bray and Scarff only sells new products, and if they accepted my dishwasher and microwave back, after being in my home they would not re-sell them. It would be a total loss for the company, which they are not willing to accept.  The last call was in May 22 when we inquired about the oven yet again. Despite blaming the delays on an "industry-wide" supply shortage, Sandy said that the local Best Buy was selling the same oven model that I've been waiting 14 months. He encouraged me to not cancel my order and wait it out with no ETA in site. Best Buy and competitors have hiked the price up $600 on the same model and I asked Bray & Scarff to make amends and help pay the price difference since they have not kept up their end of the bargain and I've ridiculously patient. But of course, they said no, b/c why would they do anything to help the customer. Because I ordered a matte white set I couldn't just cancel my fridge and oven and order a more common stainless steel set b/c nothing would match, defeating the whole purpose.   I contacted Bray & Scarff Alexandria manager to elevate my issue -- no response. I contacted Bray & Scarff Corporate Office to elevate my issue -- no response. I contacted GE Corporate Sales to elevate my issue -- no help. They told me to elevate it to the Bray & Scraff regional division, in which I did and guess what, no response. Agree with the posts about the repair service and customer service. My washing machine stopped working in late August. A repair technician came as scheduled, spent less than 15 minutes looking at the washer, told me he couldn't diagnose the problem and ordered parts. When I didn't hear back in about a week, I called to inquire about the status. I was informed that the parts are on order and it takes 5 to 10 business days to arrive. After the requisite time has passed, I called again. I made repeated calls each time I was told that the parts were on order. Four weeks passed, no parts, no concern from customer service and even more astonishing, no one seemed to think that it was odd that it was taking so long for Maytag parts. Two weeks ago, I was told that the parts were scheduled to arrive on Friday October 11 and we would be called to schedule a service call. Friday vane and went, no telephone call. Another top-notch experience at Bray & Scarff! I needed to replace a large appliance and went to the 6733 Richmond Highway location in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County. Sales staff members were courteous and knowledgeable. I wanted a US-made appliance, and they immediately showed me a model with the right size and features. Then a pandemic supply chain thing happened at the appliance manufacturer's facility, and the store notified me of a shipping delay. Because I was hoping to have the appliance by a certain date, I asked about similar units with slightly different features. To my delight and relief, Bray & Scarff was able to find a similar US-made appliance to arrive well within my schedule. Each time I called the store, the sales staffer who answered the phone was quickly able to look up my order and answer my question. Delivery notification went smoothly, and the appliance arrived on the day it was promised. The delivery crew was courteous, efficient, and precise. Looking at the huge old unit, they took exact measurements to remove it without touching walls, doorknobs, etc. They installed the new unit with care, giving me clear instructions for using it. And of course they left behind the manual and complete paperwork. This was my fourth purchase from Bray & Scarff, and I already have another purchase in mind. Sales staff was great to deal with, but installation was very expensive (lots of surcharges if you buy expensive appliances) and not professional / low quality. Bought a Subzero, Wolf range, Cove dishwasher, for a kitchen renovation in my DC row home. Installation communication was poor, with me having to follow up when I didn't hear back from them after an initial measurement visit, then they sent a second person out without information from the first visit to assess the "complexity" of bringing the tall but narrow (30" x 24") 400lb refrigerator up a flight of stairs - for that they charged me an extra $500. But they only charged an extra $50 to bring the 30" x 27" 400lb range up the same flight of stairs. I called to ask about the $500 extra and they said it was 36" wide and the stairway was too and they may have to cut drywall at the top of the steps due to the height - I reminded them my refrigerator was only 30" wide and the height at the top of the steps was another 12", to which they didn't really respond - they sort of have you hostage at that point so what are you going to do. They also said it was a "full day" job, which I thought meant they'd sho in the morning but didn't appear until midday on the delivery date. They proceeded to say they were going to take some metal on the interior edge of my new cabinets off because it was more work than them just screwing things in with care to avoid over-drilling (I got the cabinet company on the phone and they explained there was no reason to take the metal off), they attached the cabinet panels carelessly and not using the SWC templates so they were not centered and equally spaced (my cabinet guy was able to mostly fix the installer's carelessness), and best of all, they cracked the glass top and mis-wired the range so it blew the induction system. I expressed my disappointment with the installation to the sales staff and I don't know if they intervened or the company just knew the installers screwed up, but to their credit, B&S quickly got me a new range (the new installers weren't even told they had to bring it up a flight of stairs and didn't have a dolly so they strapped it to one of their backs). You can find other installers, and I checked with them and the install price would have been about the same after the B&S delivery-only fees - if I ever buy from them again, I will have someone else install given they aren't any cheaper and the install team is nothing special - you'd think they'd send the best of the best for the high end stuff, pretty sad if they did. read more

We were naive going into the store, lured by marketing about local business with next day delivery and sales vs "big box" stores. Turns out the big box chains might be successful for a reason. We paid in full and are still 6 weeks in waiting for delivery. And it turns out the "sales" are actually forms you fill out to get your discounts via mail submission. Unfair and deceptive trade practices. Several people at this business let me know I had a 5-year warranty on my almost $20k purchase. After not receiving phone calls back, (multiple calls to them, and they never called back!!!), I drove into the location where I purchased the products. The Manager, (Michael), informed me first that I had a warranty, then said that it was cancelled. He also tried to tell me that he couldn't discuss anything with him, because my contractor technically purchased the products, to which I got quite irritated. After I got the contractor on the phone, he relented, and admitted that I owned the products. Needless to say, I was annoyed, but continued to pursue the issue. I also received the run-around from Debra at Corporate in Maryland, (who called me every name except my actual name!!). She said that she was the ultimate arbiter, and I had no other person to talk with. I could write a lot more, but am thoroughly and totally disgusted that they didn't even offer any sort of resolution to the matter. I and our Family have been doing business with this company for many, many years, and they will never get my business again!! In fact, I had an order in with them, (while I was disputing the warranty I was told I had many times!!), and I just cancelled it. Best Buy will get my business from now on!! read more

I have gone back to this store for major appliances multiple times. They are competitive in price with the big-box stores, but you can actually talk to a knowledgeable person (most recently the manager, Mike), get helpful product information and buying advice in-store, and talk to someone on the phone if you have any questions afterwards. We just purchased a new dishwasher and it was delivered and installed within a week on the promised day. The installer communicated his arrival in advance and was efficient and professional. Caveat emptor; buyer beware. The only easy part of this process was spending the money. Everything else was a headache. My husband and I decided to buy a fridge, dishwasher, and over the range microwave. We started our search at a big box store, found the models we liked, and learned that the fridge wouldn't be in stock until at least January 4, 2021. So we shopped around and ended up at Bray & Scarff on Rt. 1 in Alexandria. Ciera was happy to show us options. Once again, the fridge was not in stock, but Ciera promised us that a truck was on the way, and we would receive delivery the following week. So we purchased the appliances on November 28, 2020. We didn't hear from Ciera during the next week. When we finally made contact with her, she told us that the truck that came in only had 32 units on it, and we were #36 or something. Thus began a lot of back and forth with Ciera and Mike, the store manager. No one proactively called us and most calls/emails were not returned. We always felt as though we were given the run-around. Stories were never consistent, leading us to wonder what the truth actually was. Had our expectations been set properly at the outset, maybe this process would not have been so awful. We'll never know, but we did learn that we would rather work with stores that are upfront about backorders and anticipated in-stock dates. We ultimately received delivery on Tuesday, December 22. The delivery was a disaster. Our window was 4-8pm, but the delivery team did not arrive until 10pm. They called at 7:45 to tell us they would be late. When we asked what would happen if they didn't deliver that evening, they told us that the appliances would be returned to the warehouse the following morning and we'd have to call Bray & Scarff to re-schedule. The installation was completed at 1:20am Wednesday morning. There was extensive damage to our walls. We emailed Mike as the delivery team pulled away and included pictures of the damage. We received a response that did not provide any solutions or remedies. We were told that the delivery team was a contractor team, which goes against the promise on their website that all installations are performed by Bray & Scarff employees. We were also told that he would have to talk to the install office regarding who would pay for the damages and would get back to us. We responded with an email requesting various remedies, including reimbursement for the drywall repair and painting, the cancellation of the extended warranty for the fridge, and a refund of the delivery and installation charges. At the time of this writing, we have received full reimbursement from the delivery company for the damage and a refund for the extended fridge warranty. We were supposed to hear from "James" at the Bray & Scarff corporate office regarding an additional partial refund for the delivery/installation charges, but unsurprisingly, we haven't heard from him. I made the mistake of ordering a stackable washer and dryer from Bray & Scharff on 2-1. Waited two weeks and delivered on 3-14. The unit was too big for the space and too big to be sold for a condo or apartment. Two inches too high and shaving down the cabinet like nightmare saleswoman Merelen suggested, for more money, would destroy the cabinet. She was desperate to make a sale and didn't care about me as her victim. Hollie with HQ promised to get this monster appliance removed the evening of 2-15. She now ignores my emails and telephone calls. Seven days of having this safety hazard in my home and after the delivery team damaged the folding pantry door and new paint. The delivery team should have just taken the unit with them as the sale was a total scam. Over $1,900 taken from my credit card and another week of not being able to do laundry in my home. Buy your appliances elsewhere I have had a horrific experience with Bray and Scarff and you should avoid them at all cost. If I had to do it over again, I would use any other reseller. They are consistently late for appointments, don't communicate proactively, and generally provide poor customer service. Read on below if you want a full account of my recent experience. I purchased a full set of kitchen appliances from the Alexandria location. They scheduled a field measure to confirm everything would fit for a week later and gave a window for arrival. The technician arrives 2 hours later than the end of the window. The actual delivery and installation was scheduled for two weeks after the field measure. The day before delivery, I was provided another four hour window The installers arrive 2.5 hours late, without one appliance and, informed me that the refrigerator would not fit in my kitchen. They refused to deliver and left. (Day 1 wasted) Several calls to the store and dispatch later I was set up for delivery the following week. Again the delivery team arrived 1 hour later than the (this time only 1 hour) and were able to install all the appliances. Immediately I received a door ajar alarm on the refrigerator. A service visit was scheduled and a technician scheduled. Bray and Scarff provided an afternoon window, the technical arrived in the morning, called to say since I wasn't home they would reschedule and left (Day 2 wasted). 2nd repair attempt and they arrive on time, I was informed that I needed a new door which would take 4 weeks (Day 3 wasted). After four weeks and no communication, I called for an update and was informed the door is a special order and I should have been told it was 6-8 weeks. I call again after six weeks and a told everything is ready and they can schedule my repair. The technician arrives and realizes they sent the wrong door. (Day 4 wasted) I am informed it will be another six weeks to get a new door. Several weeks later I am still holding for a new door from Bray and Scarff. I have given up on them and am now working with the manufacturer. read more

Bray & Scarff asked me to provide feedback on their service, but never responded to my feedback, so I'm posting what I sent them here.  In summary, I wouldn't use their services again and can't recommend them based on extra fees tacked on after the quote was issued and poor covid protections.  I've had better experiences with big chain store deliveries and installs. listing specific issues below: 1. the install crew didn't wear masks over their nose, only on their mouth.  I have a newborn baby and chose B&S in large part because of your stated COVID precautions and made this very clear to the team. 2. I bought the stove and paid the install costs in full in March.  Then after the stove arrived in August the salesperson Mac sent me an invoice for another $1k in install costs.  With the exception of the electrical work, the other costs he knew about before I bought the stove because they were provided in the field measure but he didn't state them up front.  I don't have a problem with the extra costs but I do have a problem that they weren't provided up front when I was deciding which contractor to select. This is not transparent pricing. 3. The electrician left a mess and didn't fully replace the front of the electrical main panel after he unscrewed it.  I didn't appreciate having to replace it myself after paying $625 for him to install.  I also called around for estimates and this service is approx $500, but I was already frustrated with B&S at this point so I used your electrician because I didn't want you guys not taking responsibility if anything didn't work.  You shouldn't mark up the cost for customers when using an in-house electrician. 4.  I'm not sure why I was required to pay $50 for a field measure when the results weren't used for transparent pricing or tailored parts.  The install crew brought the wrong size filler kit and I had to wait for the correct size to be ordered.  B&S had all the measurements and 6 mos to plan and should have been ready with the correct parts at the time on install. 9/19 update - I responded to the comment from B&S below, and they did not contact me. 10/26 update - I have repeatedly emailed the gmail account the manager provided below and no one has responded. read more

Once again, great service from Bray and Scarff in Alexandria. We recently moved to Old Town and the washing machine that came with the house died within a month. Called Michael, who had previously helped us with a stove top, and he patiently narrowed down what we would need in the space we had. All over the phone!! Delivery & set up (2 flights of stairs) was done covid appropriate & efficient. So my first load of laundry...I hear a banging noise coming from my washer..not good. Called Michael..sent him a recording of the noise..got a call from Laura (awesome & friendly) from their warranty/repair department and next day "B" came out and diagnosed & remedied the problem right then. This is my second review as an update. I purchased a warranty when I bought my dishwasher from Bray and Scarff. The dishwasher broke down. We finally got a service person out on Feb 2. He determined we needed a new pump and filter which he would have to order. Got a notification that the parts were ordered 6 weeks later on March 17. This was my first experience with Bray scarff appliances. My salesperson Tim Smith was excellent. I already kind of knew what I wanted and he was able to point me in the right direction and select the correct appliances for my Kitchen. The whole buying process was painless. As far as prices go, they are compatible with other stores in the area. Today a week after my purchase my appliances were delivered and installed by DJ, Mike and Shane. The three of them were courteous, efficient and punctual and did a wonderful job of cleaning up behind themselves. If i need any appliances in the future i will definitely use Bray&Scarff read more

The customer service is UNACCEPTABLE. My diswashet has been broken since November 2023. They took 3 weeks to send a technician to assess the problem. He guessed what part was wrong. The part arrived 4 weeks later. The second technician found the part did not solve problem and guessed a cable was wrong. The cable arrived 4 weeks later. The following tech found the cable was not the problem and called GE to diagnosed the problem and supposedly got the correct part number. Customer service rushed the order and here we are 3 weeks later and we have not heard from them. i used to buy my appliances from them but no more after this experience. They don't have the curtesy of calling you with the status of the order and they don't give you the phone of the department that orders the parts. They argue that not even custumer service can contact them. UNACCEPTABLE. I gave one star because I can't post without it, but even one start is too much. read more

We ordered a GE gas stove and Kitchen Aid OTR microwave in August. Due to COVID, we didn't get delivery until October. We love our new range and microwave. I was pleased with the service I received from Brian and the Bray team. I'm only giving them 4 stars because returning phone calls is not their strength. I had to call a couple of times to only find out that Brian didn't get the messages. And, I'm not a fan of the online rebate system they use to get your delivery fee back. However... they know their appliances and Brian was able to get me a gorgeous kitchen fridge, dishwasher, stove and microwave within my budget. I went to the big box stores and they only have maybe two or three styles to look at, unless you want to pay a fortune. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered a dryer FIVE months ago and they have brought not one, but two, that don't work. The first instance they brought one that doesn't function after having me pay for an electrician to check an outlet which has completely unnecessary, the second time after charging me $100 to have a man come out to measure, sent a dryer that does not fit in the space. After the initial incident Ryan, who has been an absolute nightmare to deal with, said we would need to pay an additional $300 for a different dryer and have a vent put into it. I'm beyond confused as to what the purpose was of having someone come out and look at the space for a charge who apparently can't measure or assess what is needed. I have had to work from home multiple days dealing with this nonsense and blew an entire Saturday waiting around for an appliance that ONCE AGAIN had to be taken away. If you value your time and money go literally anywhere else. read more

After having bought a couple appliances here before and having had a bad service experience I made the mistake of buying a washer and dryer from them. Hard to schedule delivery and then after waiting 4 hours for installation the new washer won't work (pump issue according to the installer). I am 4 phone calls and another 2 1/2 hours in and still can't get a repair guy out to make the "NEW" unit work. Never again. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews but hope this might help someone else avoid the trouble we've had. Brand New washer and dryer have both needed major repairs within the first year. As of today, we're going on WEEKS with no washer ... Delays in responding, delays in ordering parts, delays in shipping parts. Looking for a repair today between 12-5, so I'm home on one of the busiest Sundays of the year, it's 5:20 and I've had no call, no text, no repair; so of course, still no washer. I'll have to spend the rest of my weekend at a laundromat (again) and -- best case scenario -- end up with two refurbished machines when I paid for new ones. Avoid the trouble. All I wanted was a stainless counter depth french door refrigerator. Ordered on on-line from Lowe's. Easy peasy, right? WRONG! After delays and rescheduling 3 times (in fairness, one time it was me) over 3 weeks,I found out it's not available. Hasn't been in a looooong time and won't be in the foreseeable future. No suitable replacement available either. I went across the street to Bray & Scarff on a Friday afternoon, purchased my new fridge in 20 minutes and by 8:30am Monday had a new refrigerator. Yes it was more expensive but it's a MUCH nicer refrigerator. One glitch was a pin hole in the water line, but reps from GE were out the next day to repair it. They made the arrangements. In my entire lifetime, I have never dealt with a more incompetent and unorganized company. I would rather do without than deal with Bray and Scarf again. Over one month ago, I purchased a new Maytag refrigerator that cost well over $2000. It has never worked, yes never. Right after it was delivered and installed, I noticed that the ice maker was not working. They sent out one of their service technicians who could not find the problem, therefore he could not fix it. Service tech number 2 was sent out. He blamed the problem on the water filter. Ok - lets wait for a new filter at least another week and low and behold - it starts to produce ice. Two weeks later - oops - the ice maker stop[s making ice again, so I call and service tech number 3 comes out. But by the time the appointment rolls around, ( another week or two) - the entire refrigerator and freezer are warm and I am beginning to smell my food rotting away. I have now thrown away at least $500-$600 worth of food and I am spending a fortune eating out 3 times a day. Lets get to the good stuff. Service tech number 4 or is it 5 by now is actually here at my house to "fix" my refrigerator but it's a compressor problem and they can't fix it. Now I was told that I have to call Maytag and they will find me someone who can fix the compressor. Get where I am going??? I will NEVER EVER USE OR RECOMMEND BRAY AND SCARFF TO ANYONE. THEY ABSOLUTELY SUCK. read more

I purchased an Kitchen Aid dishwasher model 604 an outstanding machine,wonderful setting for cleaning full load or two levels, can adjust the middle rack up and down, hooks for stem glasses,the top rack has jets to clean glasses,a flat basket for utensils, the bottom rack is spacious with adjustable sections and two baskets for utensils, love the excellent cleaning and extremely quiet dishwasher It's has all the features of the Kitchen Aid Dishwasher models 704 and 804 for a better price. I purchased this dishwasher over the from Mr McKinley Anderson would provided outstanding customer service and excellent delivery and removal services. I ordered new appliances from B&S back in October. Some of the appliances were available and were delivered promptly. One item was on back order and I had to wait more than two months for delivery. I understand that the supply chain issues are out of their control. However the way they treated me when setting up a delivery date/time is not out of their control. My first scheduled delivery was overcome by snow and was cancelled. I waited a few days after the cancelled delivery date and never heard back from B&S about the new delivery date. I had to call them to find out when I would receive my new appliance. They provided me the date. The night before delivery, I was told that the appliance would be delivered between 4 PM and 8 PM. I didn't realize they would make delivery so late in the evening. I had plans the evening of the delivery. I called the sales department and was told that I should just take the delivery at that date/time because they would probably give my appliance to someone else and who knows when they would recieve an other shipment. I asked to see the policy in writing that inidicates they will deliver an appliance to the next person on the list if a delivery date doesn't work for a customer who has been waiting two months for an appliance. They have no policy about that in writing. Perhaps if they did share that with me in advance of the sale, I would have looked elsewhere. I asked to speak to the manager. I never got to speak to the manager. I explained to the sales rep how disappointed I was and that this is a terrible way to treat a customer. The next time I need appliances, I think Bray and Scarff will be the last store I consider. read more
