    I purchased a General Electric 30" Under The Cabinet Hood (Model JVX3300SJSS) from Bray and Scarff in Sterling, VA and they installed it with an obvious manufacturing defective (see pics); the sheet metal corner didn't align, creating a hole, plus a few dents. I called B&S immediately and was given the run around; 1st the service center number that was closed, then told it was merely cosmetic and that B&S couldn't do anything and to call GE. So now I'm stuck dealing with GE and their warranty. My warning to whoever is thinking about purchasing from B&S ... if you do, when they bring in the boxes and unpack the new items, go over those items with a fine tooth comb. This is my second time writing this...I took down the first review after the sales guy called/texted me asking it be taken down and give them an opportunity to 'make it right'. Just finished texting and he said "Bray and Scarff service center will not help with this." Essentially once they have the money and installed it, you're on your own. They wash their hands of it and move on.

    Giving credit where credit's due - after a really, really disappointing experience with Sterling Appliance trying to purchase a double wall oven, I gave Bray and Scarff a quick call just to see what they had in stock. Joseph was incredibly helpful, and basically in the span of 10 minutes, I had some information, requests from him on what to provide, and later that day I had a quote, estimated installation costs, and a proposed delivery date. A few days later, we were all done. Honestly can't believe how smooth this was. Joseph, hat's off to you, I'll come back for my next appliance purchase to be certain.

    Unreliable & Poorly Managed! If you purchase anything from here make sure you leave with it. Do not plan any project with them, their timeline only matters to them. Just because they have the inventory at the time of purchase does not mean it will be available for your scheduled delivery. For example, I ordered a GE washer and dryer that was available in store. Date of purchase 6/30/20. Deliver scheduled for 8/24/20. Received a call on 6/23/20 letting me now the washer and dryer I purchased in advance was sold and delivered to someone else. The product is now on back order. Expected date for them to deliver the product is unknown to them and me. I canceled my order and requested a refund. Based of principle I will never step foot in this store again and highly recommend you do not trust them. Prior planning on your behalf does not prevent piss poor management on their own. My advice is to either go to Lowe's or Home Depot, better pricing and more reliable.

Less than five months later, it completely shut down. As a Best Buy/Geek Squad member for over 10 years, I expected reliable support. Instead, the experience has been extremely disappointing. Repair timeline: I was told the repair would take 2 weeks. It has now been over 3 weeks, and the only update I receive is that they are "waiting on a part." Escalation confusion: Four days ago, I was told the case would be escalated. When I followed up today, a new manager said his manager would escalate it, but I'd need to wait another 3-4 days just to find out if that's possible. Impact on livelihood: I work in defense contracting. During the recent government shutdown, no RFPs were coming out, so I was already on hold. Now that solicitations are finally being released, I can't respond because my laptop is still stuck in repair limbo. This delay is directly affecting my ability to do my job and pursue contracts. Policy rigidity: I asked if they could simply exchange the defective laptop. I was told that's not their policy -- it must be repaired a certain number of times before an exchange is considered. Unhelpful suggestion: A manager actually suggested I "just buy another laptop" to use while waiting. That is not a realistic or responsible solution, especially after already investing $1,300+. No alternatives: I asked if they had a loaner program or any workaround. They do not. After more than a decade of loyalty, I expected better. Best Buy/Geek Squad should recognize the impact of delays on customers' livelihoods and offer practical solutions -- not leave long-term members stranded without options.

They are a one the set retailers to do official Apple repairs so chose here. I went in the 1st time with hopes of getting it done with, they cancelled on me cause no technicians were available and I had made the appointment 2 days in advance and went in at the earliest time they had no heads up or anything. I go in the next day same thing happens again no technicians and they make me set yet another appointment keep in mind this the 3rd one now with no prior notice or anything. I went in today they took forever to get to me, I get there and they tell me about the security delay feature that I have to wait an hr hour for it to dis activate so I can turn off the find my setting, so they can do the work safely? The unprofessional is ridiculous they had 3 days to let me know more then that to be honest to let me know way ahead of time to have that feature turned off so they can do they're work and fix my screen. This store needs better motivated workers, not lazy non caring Young associates worried about just a paycheck.

Been up since 6:45 am and it's now noon and no new info. The work order clearly sets expectation for early morning call. I've been a long time customer and will be looking for other options as they consistently disappoint. No one likes their time wasted and doing business with companies who repeatedly do this encourages further poor behavior. Refund being processed but lost 1/2 a day and multiple days and maybe weeks to start over and have the project completed.

He properly evaluated there were major broken parts costing $500 to repair and left the house to file the warranty claim. Not only did we have the original two year warranty, but I spent an additional $130 for extending the warranty to five years. After he left our house, he reported that the failure was due to "overloading the washer" with no evidence, no indication, and no common sense. We are two grandparents living by ourselves with little laundry that we do quite often, so the loads are small. Whirlpool used to be a quality brand, and with a $600 washer with all of the sensors included to complete a proper wash, you would think the sensors would let you know if it truly was overloaded. Anyway, specifically because of the DMV technician's claim that the damage was our fault, the insurance will not reimburse us. I have filed a claim to the Better Business Bureau and will continue to fight this until it is fixed.

All the others required us to do that ourselves which is doable but a bit complicated. We received quotes from 1/2 a dozen companies and none of them could provide a design that included all the details we had on our wish list except for Flooring & Cabinet Outlet! On top of finally getting a design we wanted Shawn's quote was so competitively priced we knew he was the right choice. Shawn was so responsive over email, phone and even text. As we corresponded over the project, we always had the information we needed from him and never felt lost or ignored. Shawn kindly offered to review all the appliances we had chosen before purchase to confirm that they would work within the design and measurements .Our fridge was a unique, non-standard size and Shawn even sent us the exact product he recommended, and we love it! Shawn's team installed our cabinetry, countertops and sink pluming. They had completed their work in just 3 consecutive days! The crew was polite and kept the place clean as possible. We are so happy with the results. I would hire Shawn and his team again and again if given the opportunity.
