After standing for hours at games on the student side, I always dreamed of being invited to the Zone! Well I got to go last year with a boss who is also an Aggie. Wow is it so much on the other side. The have a FULL SERVICE bar. And the food... let's just say it blows the corn dogs and popcorn out of the water! Oh it's also air conditioned too! On non game days people can rent space at the Zone to host weddings, etc. May have to consider that for the future haha. Now I dream of being invited to a suite after the big redevelopment :)

Bathroom tile desperately needed a good scrub. The black grout hides the fact that it's covered in mold when you touch it. Whole bathroom needed a serious deep clean. Sheets had holes in them. Crazy to me that housekeeping had to see that and just went on! Coffee maker not working. Waters not restocked in room. A few housekeeping tweeks and this could be awesome.

We checked in for our retreat in the hotel lobby. The hotel is located in an area with lots of retail shops and restaurants. The parking was not ideal and most of the garage spots were filled. The hotel pool is out in the center of a communal area with all the restaurants so not a lot of privacy there. The hotel did an amazing job at hosting our retreat. We used the Statesman room that had many tables and chairs to accommodate our group of 100+. We had breakfast in this area as well as our Roaring 20s evening where I had the best prime rib spread that I had ever experienced. The prime rib was prepared to perfection and served buffet style with au jus and horseradish sauce. There were also fresh veggies served including carrots, green beans and broccoli and they were prepared Al dente style just how I like them. There was a potato bar where you could build your own loaded mashed potatoes. We received 2 drink tickets where we could choose from a variety of beverages including beer, wine or cocktails. I had two pineapple margaritas. There were also many flavors of cupcakes served for dessert. The best part of the hotel were these ceramic sheep decorations that the Beef Team enjoyed posing with and moving them to various locations around the hotel for photo purposes. It made for a good source of entertainment. Overall thought the George Hotel did an excellent job at hosting our Beef Team retreat.

Control your temper "skins" you guys cussed us out, for attempting to go ahead of you when you took 20 mins on a par 3 hole, then proceeded to hit 4 drives in to the trees. You f***ing suck. You didn't rake your bunkers, left your pitch marks, I filled your divots. Stay away, it's a shame I have to say that but one group ruins it all. F**k you. Feel free to contact me and we can discuss this. But as far as I'm concerned it's not worth the hassle playing here.

There is a Yelp special for $2 off an appetizer but there are no appetizers. I sat down at the bar and said what can you make me. The super nice barkeep said anything you like. I ordered a dirty martini, but they had no olives nor olive juice. So he made me a rum drink and it was good. The social area is pretty for sitting and sips. The bar tender was nice.

The intimate, charming setting highlighted the beautiful architecture of this amazing 3-4 story building renovated by a very gifted family that has taken great pride to preserve the beautiful venue! The two buildings work together to seamlessly move guest from the wedding to the reception! It was outstanding! I hope that someday I'll have an opportunity to host my guest in this amazing center located in our beautiful downtown Navasota!

I think that was the best part of our stay. There was plenty of coffee. Someone made sure everything was restocked regularly. There was juice, milk, and water in pitchers. The eggs, sausage and potatoes were decent as far as hotel breakfasts go. The potatoes were nice and salty. After a night of beverages, they hit the spot. I had fresh fruit with my breakfast which went well the yogurt and granola they offered. There were hard boiled eggs too. I saw cereal and bread alongside a toaster. They offered real plates if you were eating in their little dining room as well as paper plates to bring up to your room. I was the nice sister and brought my brother up some breakfast. I don't often come to College Station but if I do, I'd stay here for the night.
