So I need to share my experience with this office. I love this place!!! All the staff is very nice and courteous and Dr Privett is the greatest. I have been coming here for well over 15 years and will not go any where else. In fact I drive close to 3 hrs just to go to this office!!! They do a great job with routine check ups and they always fit me when I have had passed emergencies. Pay no attention to the low ratings on yelp, these people are ridiculous. You need to know someone that goes there for a referral if you are a new patient, but that is ok. Find someone that is already a patient here and get a referral, this place is good!!!

Yes, I judge a place on how clean the bathrooms are kept. Additionally, each cleaning station has their own TV with cable and remote control (awesome), and x-ray machine that shows up on the tv monitor instead of having to do traditional x-ray films. High tech equipment and gadgets impress me. The office staff is very thorough and cheery. Every visit has been pleasant and organized. The staff is very well-trained, well-mannered, and extremely efficient. I had my teeth cleaned in just 20 minutes during my last visit. It is almost as if the office is a well-oiled machine. Additionally, Dr. Privett is very understanding towards poor graduate students, and he makes sure that I'm able to afford my dental work. He could have charged me out the wazoo for a filling, but he didn't. Instead he made it graduate student affordable.

She helped me out of a very prolonged and painful scenario. I found that she is kind, nurturing, sincere and truly does care about her patients and takes pride in her work. At 8:30 the day of the appointment the dentist was over an hour late, with no explanation given, and never spent more than five minutes with me as he bounced back and forth to other patients with later appointments. They charged for nitrous on the chipped tooth, which wasn't used, and a second consultation when there was only a single visit. After all of this, the bill was sent to insurance where it was charged in-network and we were notified by insurance that our responsibilities were fulfilled. Fast-forward a year and six days later, I receive a bill in the mail saying that if not paid the balance on my account will go to collections and Robert Lasell's office charged each item as non-network, despite insurance saying otherwise. This week I have placed over a hundred calls to the office, multiple attempts to see them in person during business hours where the door was locked and nobody would answer, and have sent dozens of emails. Through this entire ordeal, their billing manager is unreachable by any of their own staff to discuss these discrepancies or schedule an appointment to meet, and the one lone worker has no understanding of even basic billing. If you've always wanted to see a train-wreck, there is no staff more qualified than Robert Lasell. But as for dentistry, I would rather pay out of pocket anywhere else than to deal with them again.

When I asked for an explanation of the financial charges with insurance, I was treated rudely instead of getting a professional explanation of the charges. They attempted to get me to pay more by having duplicate charges of a consult fee in my financial arrangement. The clinical care is excellent, but dealing with the front desk makes this practice not worth it.
