They did a decent job moving our new baby grand piano. However, they did not test it after the move. My wife sat down to play it and the foot pedals would not move. I called them and he said he would try to get his guys back out here to fix it. He never called back and left me hanging. I had to call a piano repair person to come here and fix the problem. He knew exactly what was wrong after telling him I had movers move the piano. The repair guy said they should have checked it to make sure it was all good before leaving, because when you turn a piano upright to move it the bar inside the piano that controls sustain will fall out of place and they should have known better. So, to sum up, the owner of Brazos movers should have told me his movers did not know squat about pianos, a $650 charge + tip. Then, he did not call me back to let me know his guys were coming the next few days to fix it. He just blew me off. Why? The movers don't know anything about fixing a piano if they break it. DO NOT HIRE these people. The owner is not an honest business person. read more

The move itself was quick and efficient. However, when we put our bed together, we noticed that the leg to the headboard was broken off. I contacted Brazos three times and sent pictures...twice with emails and once with a call. It has been almost 30 days and we have not received a response! We understand damage does happen but no communication is not acceptable. read more

I enjoy giving great recommendations when the level of service, good communication and dependability are high on the chart. Unfortunately, their communications are poor to nonexistent and in my case, they don't show up when promised and don't even call with an explanation. Josh has great phone presence. We contacted Brazos Movers as they were local and got good reviews to pack and move. They sent 3 men to pack and were estimated to take 5 hours for a 2200 sq ft home. They spent 6 1/2 hours and did not complete the job. I would never recommend this company. They ran over budget, took their time and did a horrible job of packing. They charged $975 to pack. Packing pictures and art without wrapping, throwing items in a box with no wrapping and leaving items unpacked. We fired them as movers because of the job they did packing and then the Ops supervisor Manny argued with us saying they did a good job. He was one of the packers. The owner of Brazos never bothered to contact us to see what was the problem. I am sure Manny explained it away and offered no discount for an unhappy customer. On top of that one of the packers spent two trips and approximately 30 minutes in our bathroom taking a crap. This was despicable when you are paying $110 hour for people to work and get out of your house. We had to sanitize the bathroom after they left. Also they arrived late to start the job. We had to pack unpacked items the next day ourselves. I don't recommend. read more

Still waiting on resolution of damaged goods from over a year ago as promised They broke a family curio and promised as per contract to fix glass as well as make good on some other press board cabinets (3) that were also detroyed. A repair guy came and took door and was never heard from again! No followup no feedback and I've placed many calls and texts over past year. (Also Water mechanism for refrigerator was also broken and placed back together as if i was fine. Had warranty on refrigerator so not big deal) I just want my cabinet door that was taken And never returned.. read more

This team is good from setting up a move to following up and carrying out the move and it was very reasonably priced. I did a local move and they did good. They did a great job and worked pretty steady but paced themselves as I had stairs. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. read more

We used them for our latest move and it was a total and complete disaster! They were late showing up to start with, then come to find out whoever estimated the job were way off base as to the manpower and time to do the job. They packed some items for us and a lot of what they packed got broke due to them not packing things correctly. Then on the day of the move as time stretched out, all we heard was complaint from their workers about how much and how difficult the job was. Even their owners complained. Then beds weren't out back together correctly and had to be redone. For a so-called moving company, we would not recommend as they flat out are terrible! They also want you to write a separate check for any tip you may give and that is shady within itself. DO NOT USE Brazos Movers! It'll cost you way more than hiring true professionals. This was our fourth and best move. Brazos Movers was responsive from the beginning and gave a detailed written estimate. They communicated with us to confirm before our scheduled pack day. Our packing service came in under estimate. On move day, everything went smoothly. So far, we have not found any broken items. Furniture take-down and re-assembly were included. Just got off the phone with them. Today was supposed to be moving day according to whomever the hell we talked too 2 weeks ago. However as of this morning, on the scheduled moving day and this company doesn't have us down on their schedule because oh, we apparently got put down for the original day we asked for and were told it was NOT EVEN available. Mind you, we have everything packed and ready to go, including food and bedding. We scheduled other things in our new house today to coincide with the move. I'm honestly not even a little impressed or amused, and well, we have a whole other day until these people actually do the job we are paying them for. The greatest part of it all? We originally asked for tomorrow as our move day, the lady on phone apparently lied to us about some big job being tomorrow and had asked us if TODAY was okay because it's the only day they had open. Honestly not sure if this place is worse than the military moving you or not. Currently tied until I see performance. Wouldn't suggest thus far, they may or may not schedule you correctly. Home Depot's scheduling is on point though. Same with a plumber down in malakoff. Great customer service on those two places. And yes I heard the woman on the phone say today. It was on speakerphone. And we had to move things around to move everything from tomorrow, to today. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant planning. If businesses stay afloat by word of mouth, I'll be sure to recommend anyone else but them if you want correct planning and dates. I rarely leave reviews on here, when I do it's because it's something either amazing, or failing miserably and I don't want other people to pack everything and then be let down for going more local. For now, this is strictly a management post, has nothing to do with the movers themselves. Mainly because well, apparently they'll come tomorrow. Hopefully. Who knows at this rate. We hired Brazos Movers on the recommendation of a few friends, to move our office to a new location, literally 3 blocks away. The 3 guys that they sent were absolutely as nice as they could be, Richard, Justin A. and Erik. We were quoted for a 6 1/2 hour job, but it only took them 4 hours. Great! Except when I started unpacking and looking for things, I found our huge aloe vera plant, turned on it's side and shoved into a box. Strike one. I was told that I didn't need to pack the things that were in the desk drawers, because they were hired to pack as well as move. They didn't pack up the stuff in the desk drawers, but shrink wrapped the desks so the drawers wouldn't fall open. Great! Except that all the stuff in the drawers fell to the back when they turned the desks every which way but loose and then I couldn't open the drawers since everything was shoved in the back of the drawers and blocked being able to open the drawers. Strike two. They told me that I didn't need to empty out the refridgerator, that everything would be ok. Well, they had issues getting it thru the doorway, which I told them they probably would. No problem. Once they got it unloaded, I noticed that the freezer door (old fridge/freezer) was cockeyed. Not sure what they did or how rough they handled it. I know it couldn't have moved around that much in the truck when we were literally going 3 blocks. Towards the end of everything, one of the movers told me that they were trying to get the job done as fast as they could, because he had a family thing he needed to go to. STRIKE THREE!!! No wonder they didn't take the time to be more careful!! They didn't even want to be there. I will not use them again nor will I recommend them to anyone. read more

My husband was having his elderly mom moved from one Assisted Living place to another about 45 min away. Carl, Reylie & Josh arrived on time, took care of dismantling the bed, loaded all furniture & packed boxes carefully into the moving truck. They went to the new facility & set up the bed, furniture and put the boxes into the closet. They waited until he arrived with his mom so that he could sign the paperwork and pay them. They were professional, courteous and reasonably priced. The quote was spot on to the amount he had to pay. My husband had to reschedule the move date twice due to unforeseen circumstances and they were very accommodating. Definitely would use again and recommend to others. read more

Finding these guys was such a blessing and relief. My husband and I had driven to Weatherford to deliver a truckload of "stuff" at a storage facility there. Because we don't have the stamina we one did, we were concerned about unloading the goods in the heat. The storage facility recommended Brazos Movers to help. It was the best recommendation! Manny and Kyler arrived on time and unloaded our truck so professionally, reassuring us the whole time about the facility's cleanliness and safety. I would not use these people again, even if it was the only option. They vastly underestimated the contents, resulting in a higher cost and delays. They had so many meal breaks and stoppages that they did not finish the job until 2am. They left their trash in the street. They dismantled a bed and the fittings were never found. They dismantled lamps only never to find the shades again. A less than year washer was badly scratched on the top surface. Furniture had parts broken off and chipped. They are a rogue bunch. They dissembled necessary furniture and wrapped it for safety. When we got to the new place they put everything in it's assigned room and put it all back together. They were quick and friendly. They damaged my couch, chairs, and treadmill....then took 6 months to come to an agreement which was only sending me a $100 check for the $1,000 worth of damage. DO NOT TRUST THE ESTIMATE! Ours was more than double and we were unable to move all items. Did I mention this was a 1 bedroom apartment move to a senior living facility? The whole move was easily scheduled and went smoothly. First of all, they were on time. From the time they arrived until they left they never stopped moving. The team of 5 movers from Brazos Movers was super kind. Super helpful. Super careful. They worked well together, were great about following our instructions, and were happy. They handled 4 women giving directions very well. They took stuff through doorways and in between boxes without dinging door jams and corners. As far as we can tell nothing was damaged or broken. I used Brazos Movers located in Weatherford, Tx.... HORRIBLE experience... they did not cover my furniture...they managed to put scratches on almost every piece of wood furniture and on my leather furniture.... they were rude, and inconsiderate and when asked to cover items or be careful... they blew it off....my washing machine(which isn't very old) worked before Brazos Movers.. I have pictures ....they moved my possessions like they were junk....if you know anyone who is moving , PLEASE LET THEM KNOW THIS COMPANY DOES NOT DO A GOO, these people are horrible and apparently have no conscience, this is the kind of company that takes advantage of people..... When they had finished and brought paperwork for me to sign and present me with the bill, I wrote them a check ; however when I refused to sign their paperwork stating they had done their job, I refused to sign.... my daughter, granddaughter and I had put the bed together and carried furniture from the driveway to the house, I REFUSED TO SIGN THEIR PAPERWORK....the man told me by law I had to sign it OR THEY WOULD CALL THE POLICE... They threatened me, they said they would take all my furniture back, to where I don't know,,,, I told them I would be happy to call the police for them......he was telling me things in a LOUD and ANGRY voice.... I am 70 years old and at this point, I did not care anymore, with everything they had put me through, the stress, damage to my furniture, just the sheer exhaustion of the move .... "just take it" the threatening man went to his truck.... I sat there waiting for the police and for the movers to come back and get my furniture......eventually the truck drove away I don't believe I have ever posted a review, this is a first for me.....but I believe people should be made aware of this company's behavior... read more

We had a long move from CA to TX in the middle of summer! I hired 3 guys for 2 hours from this Co. and they were amazing!! They showed up on time and immediately started unloading. They unloaded a 28' foot trailer in 2 hours!! They were very fast, efficient, polite and didn't damage a thing. I wish I would have had them in CA to load the truck! They also gave us great information about he area with places to eat, visit etc. I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to everyone! read more
