I had an independent expert, Gilley's Restoration, provide a repair estimate of $2,614.24 for the damage Hawk Movers caused to my Ethan Allen furniture (about 75% of all pieces). Hawk claims "pre-existing damage," yet they have produced no photos showing my furniture in my prior home to support this. They also damaged my son's bedroom furniture - not as expensive, but possibly beyond repair - and it upset him deeply to see his room left that way. I did, in frustration, remark that I "shouldn't have let my wife book the move," and I regret saying that. The truth is I approved the decision and take responsibility for choosing Hawk. The only thing I said to their crew was: "Is there a single piece that you didn't damage?" My experience stands, the damage was extensive, the liability payout is meaningless, and Hawk's response only reinforces the problem. read more

We used Hawk movers not too long again for our move from a third story apartment to a three bedroom home. They did an amazing job! We had Brandon and Michael help us and they had the best attitudes and communication the whole time. They moved us in 3 hours and 30 minutes and I believe our total was around $600. Not a good experience. The movers were late as they went to the delivery address rather than the pick up place first. We paid for two movers by the hour. However, one of the guys sat in the truck most of the time "doing paperwork." My husband, son and I began helping load the truck to speed things up. I was billed for the entire time on my way to the delivery address. For an hourly job. They arrived at the delivery address about 20 minutes after we did but made quick work of the unloading. When I counted the hours including the commute time, I requested a refund for the 1 1/2 hours I was overcharged for, but the company said they had GPS records to back it up. Which means I was charged for the time they drove to the wrong address. I would not recommend this moving service to anyone based on the company's unwillingness to make this right. read more

I did two moves with Hawk movers. The first move went fine, but the second resulted in them losing an office chair and a foam mat. They removed them from my apartment, but did not load them onto the truck. They claim that they will only pay 60 cents for each pound that the items weigh. So I will not be made whole despite their negligence. I recommend using a different moving service. read more

We've used Hawk Movers twice now. Both times were great! They helped move what turned out to be three trailer loads of 'stuff' from a property we sold in Justin to storage in Weatherford - then two years later, from storage to our new property within Weatherford. With NO broken items or other damage! They even offered a Veteran discount! The teams have been very helpful and move with efficiency - which, is important when charging by the hour for their service. They were also very responsive to my inquiry when it was time to 'get moving' - and I had contacted two or three other movers who never bothered to return either my online, email or phone inquiries, or eventually dropped the ball on scheduling. Do not use Hawk Movers!! They moved our belongings from Granbury on August 30, 2022. They stole a printer, a rug, China dishes, all of our screwdrivers, jewelry and broke many valuable items. They threw our papers in huge boxes even though I had them neatly placed and labeled in folders. They were very rude to me when I talked to them and did not believe me. They even left one of our t.v.s that was mounted on the wall and various porch furniture behind and we had to go back and get it. They charged twice as much as they had originally stated, Though it has been over a year, it is not too late to file a police report. That is just want I am doing at this very moment. Just an update on HAWK movers!!! I used them in Dec.2022. Broke a lamp, scratched up a lot of funiture. I recently moved again and used another company. They showed me how Hawk had cracked the side rails on my NEW bed frame. They used some sort of impact drill which caused the damage. They never said a word to me - just used super glue to "fix" the rails!!! This was a new bed before they got a hold of it. They didn't say a word about it. When the movers moved it a week or two ago for me they showed me the damage but were able to get the screws out of the bed and also put them back CORRECTLY. Do not use Hawk if you don't want damaged furniture. read more

I hired Hawk movers in July 2020. Asked them to move a couch, coffee table, bed, chest of drawers, tv, and a mirror. Asked them to move the items 5 miles across town. They broke the mirror and the coffee table. The mover stained the headboard with sweat. 3 of 7 items were damaged. The mover Brian told me he had already purchased a coffee table replacement and it would arrive in 1 week. It's currently mid-September and no coffee table has been delivered. No mirror has been replaced. No refund issued. Casey the manager has promised to send me a payment based on the weight of the items moved. First he said I still needed to submit s claim. When I forwarded him the claim that I submitted 3 weeks prior to his request he said "that's on me. I promise I'll get back to you and get a check out in a week." Three weeks later and no check and no email. Texas law allows for $0.60 for replacement of damaged items. So if you have a $1,000 TV - if Hawk Movers smashes it they are only responsible for $60. They didn't offer additional insurance. And didn't explain Texas replacement law on damaged items. Think twice before you hire this moving company read more

I would absolutely recommend this company for a move - I called them somewhat last minute, at the end of the month when a lot of people are moving, and they were able to accommodate me with a date and time that fit my schedule. They were prompt in getting back to me and on the day of the move they packed everything quickly while also taking care of my stuff. As a note, one of the employees responded via the Yelp quote request service with a quote for my job. When I followed up the next day by calling, I found out that he had quoted the wrong/significantly cheaper rate that was no longer being offered, likely by mistake. They honored the lower price even though they didn't have to. Overall, everyone I talked to or dealt with at this company was extremely professional and showed they have high standards of customer service. The actual third-party people that Clay and his team hired are really hard workers and did great. The problem is that Clay and his team did not research properly before committing to moving a household. Due to their lack of evaluation of the type of trucks we would need for our family move, I ended up paying for 11 hours to move my home since the trucks could not get close to my house, etc. Keep in mind, my new house was three houses down from my old home, so zero travel for them. This is a basic mistake that you would not expect from movers. They should have fully understood the customer's situation and asked the right questions. In their research, they would have seen the potential issues and, at a minimum, sent a person out to further evaluate and determine the correct moving equipment. I will not use them again, as they were totally unreasonable in accommodating me with any discounts, etc. I was told that I could get someone else, which was easy for him to say when I was stuck needing to be out of my home that day. Thus, I had to go with them. There are way better companies out there that care for the people they move. Total paid(Including zero travel for them) $3888.15 plus I actually fed the workers lunch etc. his should have taken about 3 -4 hours but the poor workers had to carry up a steep driveway because the truck were too long. read more

Damaged my couch, my chair, my 80 yr old mothers bed. It took over 4 hours to load. My mother was there with them when they loaded, one of the guys kept saying they should have sent more than two people for a 2 bedroom condo. When they got here to unload,4.5 hours later I asked why did it take so long? The guy stated to call another company next time, he just showed up to work today, wasn't his fault the boss doesn't know how to plan the jobs right. Took another 2-3 hours to unload, with MY help unloaded. When I called the company about the time, the remarks and the damage. Casey was really bothered that I was upset. Did not address the damage (pictures and video available) at all, but said he could look into giving me a 5% discount (which he did not) needless to say.....over $800 and almost 7 hours later, I have to miss another day is work tomorrow and try and find someone local to finish moving the rest of the stuff they told my mom they couldn't fit one the only trip they could make!!! They broke 2 pieces of furniture that was Louis the 14th replication and I can't replace.

We chose Hawk movers based on Yelp reviews to do a multistage move. We had them store our belongings for 2 months in between moves. We were pleased with the move and the wrapping and handling during the initial stage, and had no real issues untill they did the second stage delivery. We noticed they were delivering several items (TV and other electronics) that did not belong to us. We had them remove those items and then finish the move. We started noticing several items missing and called to notify them but the employee dealing with us made it pretty obvious that they most likely would not find them and we should apply for our 60 cents per pound insurance. We also found major scratches and damages to several items that would no way be replaceable by their pitiful insurance. After several months of attempting to reach the owner Kasey we were able to retrieve a few items and came to a resolution. As far as their moving abilities, they were good, but on a multi stop move, they handle the items too many times and had issues with segregating items . I would recommend if you use them to inventory your own items and seek additional insurance coverage. I would also not recommend using them if you need to have storage of your items. read more

Hard working, paying attention to detail, including going up three flights of stairs moving all furniture (except the washer) without a dolly to not ruin the floors. We moved just before Christmas 2020. Hawk was recommended by our new apartment complex. The two guys were fast and efficient moving us from a house to an apartment, but they broke our sleep number bed which we had to replace. We also cannot put our big computer desk back together and they were supposed to. There is a hip out of the bottom. Plus, my wife didn't get the pegs back for her shadow box shelves. We hired hawk movers because they had decent reviews online. Unfortunately it did not go as planned I was told that one trailer for a 2600+ sq foot home would work. I decided to get two teams and two trailers and they still could not get the all the stuff in the trailers resulting in them leaving things behind form me to move later. I was also told that they would unhook and then hook up my gas dryer. I asked very specifically if they did gas dryers and they said yes. After they had moved into the house I was ttold that they can't and only a plumber can do it. Their guy at the office called me and said "sorry, that was incorrect we can't do it" and "sorry you were told that". That was one of the reasons I choose them. When I mentioned that things where left behind, he then told me "you had allot of stuff". That's was BS, I told them 4 bedrooms plus living areas over the phone. How does the guy who was calling me 4 hours after the move out know I had too much stuff? I am glad I didn't go with their original suggestion of one trailer. Other wise I would have been in a worse spot. As a result I had to pay for a plumber which was not budgeted for. Nor did hawk who had promised that they could do it offer to reduce the cost to cover. Damage to the house- having moved 5 times with movers I expect some damage to happen. Two of the biggest things to happen were avoidable though. The hole in my ceiling came from one of the guys convinced he could take a tv stand over his shoulders Upstairs by him self. The guy sent to fix the issue wasn't the best either. My railing is still looks like crap and I will need to repaint it. The dented transition from the garage where they rammed it with the cart is still broken. The guy looked at it and said 'I can't fix that with making more damage, you should call some one else", um, why am I taking care of their mess? Should they be getting the right people out here? The hole is the ceiling looks like an amateur tried to fix it. The scraps in the floors need to be fixed by flooring specialist. So, if you want a business that blames the customer having too much stuff and not being able to move it, will tell you they can do something to get the business then tell you they can't do, send a some what qualified guy to fix the issue they caused, the hawk is for you. read more

Hawk movers! I live in the east side of the metroplex, but I learned about Fort Worth's best moving company on a morning drive commercial on WBAP. I made a short move from Sachse to Plano, and these guys were excellent. They took great care of large items I.E. washer, dryer, motorcycle, couches, and they took care of the small items. Nothing threw these guys for a loop. No damage to anything or any dwelling. They were honest to goodness PROFESSIONALS! This includes the lady that provided the quote. Her quote was right on the money, and she kept me informed. Job well done all the way around. read more

I hired this company for my move on July 5, 2014. It was a two man crew but it was like having one and a half. The older man was alright but the younger kid was a disaster. He was slow and lazy. But what made it worse was that his slowness was not because he was being careful, no! He was knocking my stuff around on every doorway, corner, or other items. He backed into stuff. I never had someone so bad. Once, I didn't see him for a while (even though the older guy had made like a half dozen trips) so I decided to go outside and see what he was up to. Turns out he was organizing a bunch of wardrobe boxes that had fallen over. Note that these were not my boxes. These were folded up boxes that were just on the trailer. I stood there in amazement as he took forever picking them up, straightening them and then securing them with bungee cords. All this was time I was paying for. They were also terrible at packing the trailer. They should have had room to spare but they were not able to get everything in that I needed. A day or two later, I talked to the owner (I believe he was the owner but it could have been a manager) who acted shocked and concerned about my experience. He said he was going to talk to the crew and get to the bottom of this and call me back. He never called me back. Two weeks later, I needed to move the items I had in a storage facility to my house. I called a place called Kim's moving and they were awesome. Two guys, no damage, extremely fast, and they knew how to pack a truck. I don't have the number handy otherwise I would post it here. But the bottom line is Hawk was the worst moving company I've ever used bar none and it was made 100% worse when I was promised a call that never came. Vert unprofessional. read more

My husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience with Hawk movers. They accommodated us with very short notice and were so efficient. They showed up on time and made quick work of moving our things. We were shocked at how fast they were, which we really appreciated since we were paying them by the hour. The price was actually very reasonable and it was worth every penny. We moved into an apartment on the third floor with no elevator so there was no way we would have been able to move all of our things on our own (including a large and very heavy recliner). Lee and Clarence were awesome!!!! Very polite, handled our things with care, and were so fast. Good moving companies are hard to come by and with the stress that comes with moving it is good to know that we have a company that we can rely on. The movers were nice but we paid $1445 and the move wasn't even half complete. We had to wait for their famous wrap to be delivered while paying $165 an hour. One guy twisted his ankle after an hour yet we had to still pay the 3 man rate until someone picked him up 2.5 more hours later even though he was no longer moving us. They moved quickly for about 2 hours but the remaining hours were frustrating to watch while our new house was beat up all over. Not sure why only positive reviews are making it to google but this was an overpriced nightmare and I highly recommend using anyone else. There is absolutely no reason to pay these prices for trip and fuel charges when we are literally up the road from them. There are a ton of moving companies that you can get the same and better outcomes with that do not cost this. read more
