Needed to refile my blood pressure med's. Made my appointment online. Filled out all my information during my online visit. When I arrived at the clinic it took only a few minutes to check in. Dr. Teresa saw me within 10 minutes. Took a blood sample and checked all the normal things like blood pressure and lung function. The office was clean and the service was fast and efficient and friendly. I received the results of my blood test three days later. They sent me an email saying it was ready with a link to download it. This concluded my visit with all my results done easy and efficiently without any extra problems. Before today I've never had the absolute pleasure of a Covid 19 test. I had previously read about it on the internet and on CNN where they said Donald Trump and Covid 19 was going to kill everyone. Prior to my visit here today at Brazos Urgent Care I had not needed to be tested for the dreaded Coronavirus - 19 which originated in Wuhan China and although traditionally pandemic like viruses are named after their region or source of origin, such as the Spanish flu, MERS, etc. But since Donald Trump is racist, we do not refer to Covid -19 as the China virus, but covid 19, which is strange because we didn't do that with covid 1-18 but none the less here we are. Anyways when I called the person I talked to on the phone was friendly and upbeat and encouraged me to come by and let me talk and answered my questions. She set an expectation that was reasonable and when I came by that expectation was met and exceeded. The Dr came to visit and was very friendly. I learned that he likes Little Ceasars pizza and seemed very relatable and friendly. He nonverbal communicated that my jokes were funny but not as funny as I thought they were and left. Next there was a (I'm not sure if what word to use here if nurse? Medical assistant? Doctor? Covid Diagnostician? ) came in and gave me a very fun poke in the nose with a stick. They made it about as painless and comfortable as I would imagine it could be and definitely not as violent and awful as I had read and heard from people. It was definitely a lot less uncomfortable than I was told it would be and I was pleased with that. Anyways fun and friendly staff. If I need medical related stuff will certainly come back here. I am now waiting on my results. I will say everyone here was friendly and they made this the best covid 19 testing experience I've ever had so I left them five stars. read more

This is by far the WORST experience I have EVER had. From arriving at 5:20 fresh off work to come in for a quick evaluation due to ear pain and not being seen AT ALL, not because the "doctor" wasn't available she very much was and yet chose to skip me being with my 1 year old in a hot waiting room to then laugh about not treating me and getting the "owner" to VIRTUALLY see me for her own personal reasons then went on to see patients that had just arrived! I don't recommend this place to anyone it is so unprofessional and if you say anything about the hot room expect to not be seen and the staff make it a laughing matter! This particular location was my go to place. Lately customer service here is awful. I have insurance but yet they can't seem to verify every time I go. They are suppose to still see you and bill the insurance....instead they want you to pay out of pocket, bill the insurance then take forever to give you your money back. Long wait times with so many people coming in to get Covid-19 tests. This was my third time visiting this clinic, the first two times for covid tests were fine. Although when you try to get your results back for any tests or labs it is not the smoothest process. My initial contact with the receptionist was unpleasant she did not let me explain all of my needs and reasoning for coming in, I felt rushed and pushed to the side. I waited patiently as I could see that it was busy. I went in for non-covid-19 related issues at 9:30am and did not leave until 1:00pm. Two tests were done and was told that I had to go drive to another place to get bloodwork done (even though the care center advertises that they offer bloodwork services). Which meant I'd have to drive, sign in and wait at another place. This whole time I was fasting for the bloodwork ,not feeling well and growing impatient. I could even hear other patients complaining about wait times and updates...short staffed as well. I will say once I got to the back everyone was kind and considerate. I'd hope that they could get more help so everyone won't be so stressed as that impacts the level of care. read more

Came to get a covid test and had to wait outside for more than 2 hours. Once I came in the lady at the front was really nice. Once I got into the room I was there more than 30 min. Dr came in too ask what I was in for and aaked for symptoms then left. I had to step out and asked was anyone coming in too swap me. Like I should not have to come out and ask if someone is coming in. I honestly think they forgot about me in the room. Ive heard two or three paients go into the room next to me and I still havent got service I think its pretty Ridiculous!! Lile I have missed other appointments that I have made b/c this clinic is not handing patients of when they came in for whatever reason. Then the person that came in to do my swabs wasn't that friendly. read more

We went to Brazos Urgent Care Sunday morning. My husband went in after having extreme ear/ throat pain, coughing up bloody mucus, swollen tongue, could barley chew or swallow. The NP (?) we saw was had horrible bed side manners. She preceded to look in his ears and throat and had me (wife) get up and look with her. She asked what I saw and when I sent "Uh it looks like his tongue is swollen" she said "no it's not. Nothing is wrong. Continue taking allergy medicine" and sent us on our way. Last night he was in extreme pain and her advice to take Claritin was clearly not working. Today we went to a different urgent care and he was told he has an extreme sinus infection and was prescribed medication for it. Rethink going here as they do NOT listen to how a patient feels and could care less to help. read more

DONT COME HERE. I went in two days ago with my daughter had been throwing up and mind you NOBODY WAS IN THE URGENT CARE... that's weird l? . Michael Vaughn was her Dr. I denied getting her tested for strep originally because she showed no symptoms and it's a difficult test for toddlers! I was there to seek nausea medication for her thinking it was food poisoning. He comes in and says he don't know how to help me if I don't test her for strep! Completely unprofessional! Yet I agree to test, he comes back in less than 5 minutes to say it's positive I was shocked. Something told my gut he's just saying that. So I proceed to get her medications. The office wouldn't send me home with any paper work after I requested it of the diagnosis. That's weird right? So I got a second opinion second Dr. Confirms she did NOT HAVE STREP. She had food poisoning. How can you go and lie about a strep test and send someone home with false hope of an answer. He shouldn't be around kids or women. read more

Had a Covid test performed here this morning. Could not have gone any better. This was not my first test. I have been elsewhere and was somewhat dreading it due to my past experience. They are truly unprofessional and we will never come back again!!!!! I made an appointment for my daughter at 9:30 am for allergic reaction that cause her to have rashes on her face and body. But when we came in at 9:35 am we end up waiting over 30 min in the lobby then another 1.5 to 2 hours for a provider but still no sign of anyone helping us the whole time. Truly unbelievable and I will never recommend Brazos Urgent Care to any of my friends and relatives. read more

Hurting yourself is never fun, so when I dropped a weight in my foot and had to go to an urgent care I wasn't too excited. But when I walked through the doors every one greeted me with a smile. I specially want to thank Brooke (I didn't get the spelling so I'm sorry if I got that wayyy wrong) she made the whole thing so much better and had me laughing the whole time that I forgot about my pain. Zero if possible!!! Super Unprofessional, Bad patient bedside manner. Uncaring, not compassionate to the patients need or lifestyle!!! My youngest daughter was there to be treated for a foot/ankle injury that occurred this week from accidental tripping. Despite no one being in the waiting room, my Daughter & her eldest Sister was made to wait a ridiculous amount of time!!! The assistant taking the blood pressure seem confused about which BP device to use! The so called Nurse Practitioner/Pseudo Doctor??? basically stated that my daughter was doing everything right as far as OTC meds, Icing & wrapping her ankle & jokes about they didn't need her!!!... they had the same assistant do my daughters X-ray , which apparently was done on the side that wasn't even swollen or injured!!! They claim no findings from the X-ray. We are highly upset because despite billing my Medical Insurance & us paying a $40.00 copay, The female treating my daughter refused to rewrap her ankle/ foot with gauze after they had her remove it for X-rays!!!! Then had the AUDACITY to request an additional $10,00 payment to do so!!! No courtesy or care towards the patient at all!!! Also expected my daughter to go back to school the next day!!! A joke & how??? She has to hop on 1 foot & tippy toe on the other!!! Now this occurred on March 29, 2023, my daughter is in worse pain & still haven't been back to school yet. We will have to go an Emergency room today ( April 1, 2023) & it's no joke!!! Oh & I did call to complain to the Office Manager who wasn't in, left pertinent info including my cell. Won't ever be coming back here , very unprofessional. everybody looks so lost and confused on what they are doing. front desk check out lady has a attitude obviously must hate her job. First I was told I only had to pay $25 .. then after they put me in the back room , 10-15 mins later they wanna say the total "changed" and I have to pay 115 more. Pretty sure the medical assistants there just got fresh out of school bc they seem so confused on what I was saying. Horrid experience when taking a friend with high blood pressure. First of all, the person up front had very little care or concern, second woman picked her nails in full view and then took the desk scissors and cut her finger nail. After some time without further acknowledgment, my friend told the first desk person she was afraid since her pressure was so high. Finally got back to a room where nail cutter woman attempted to do the blood pressure cuff. The lack of skill was outstanding. The 'doctor' was timely but not helpful. Last words were to learn how to cope better. Not a place I'd go to if you have an urgent care issue. read more

This is the place to go for any illness! From the moment you walk in, the ladies greet you with a cheerful voice ( and I would imagine a smile, but due to the mask you can't see it) They check you in right away, and seem to always have a room ready. It's not like a normal urgent care, where you wait long periods of time before you even get back to a room. They seem to really care about you and wish you well when they know you aren't feeling good. This location is a bit out of the way, but I'll always make the drive to come here over somewhere closer to home. read more
