Just next door to Palma Pasta!
    Stephanie S.

Great addition to the area! Bread+Salt is located just next door to the popular Palma Pasta. Soo many new places have been opening up nearby lately, add this Syrian bakery/café to the list! This place also happens to be on my way to the office, so I'll hafta exercise some self-control! :) Interior is actually very nice, newly renovated, clean, and complete WITH seating, a pizza oven, a self-serve coffee area, etc. Everything looks like it's been well-thought out. What's here? Baked in-house artisan pita bread and various other breads, coffee, baked goods/pastries (~$3ea), ice cream logs, manakish (M.E. pizzas), etc. They also carry Sloane tea and Barocco coffee, plus other European import products. When I visited, there were samples of all - if not most - of their sweets, so you can judge for yourself. I'll definitely be back to try their pizzas + ice cream!

I stumbled across their website online one day and decided to give it a try. We didn't order much as we just had lunch. We ordered a Za'atar Manousheh, which is like a flat bread with a very crunchy texture, topped with mixed spices ( thyme, sumac and sesame). Very different than what I usually have on flat bread and we liked it. Then we ordered their ashta ice cream. One plain with crush pistachio, and a pistachio ice cream with crush pistachio (yes I love pistachio) , they have many free toppings as well, so we topped one with pistachio butter ( did I tell you I love pistachio?) and the other with crispy chocolate balls. The ice cream is unique and I will definitely visit again to try the other dishes.

This is a great Bakery with the finest baked goods . The breads are baked in small batches to ensure freshness. Most of the breads can not be found on other local bakeries in Mississauga because they are very unique . They also have great desserts. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a must visit.

Pistachios Croissant & Raspberry Croissant...Best Croissant Ever

Best bakery in Mississauga! Best Croissant I ever had! Mouth watering baked goods, great family environment and excellent customer service. I saw their website and decided to try it for brunch. I can safely say I made the best decision. I ordered Pistachios Croissant, Raspberry Croissant, Akawi cheese Manaeesh, 4 cheese Manaeesh, Olives Paste with Mozzarella Manaeesh and Nutella Manaeesh! So delicious, incredible taste and worthy of top honors. Everything was fresh and looks beautiful. Best bakery in Mississauga, trust. You gotta eat here...Pistachios Croissant alone is worth the admission price (taste like baklawa in a croissant, best croissant I ever tasted in my life)! Please go and support this bakery, they deserve all the praise. If you don't, you will regret it I promise . Bon appetit

I ordered the double baked almond croissant and chocolate croissant and I wish I ordered more. The pastry chef made us try his new brioche dessert and I would order a dozen in a heart beat. The place is big and have a dining area. They also serve some sort of pizza, which is freshly made as you order. They serve coffee but didn't get to try it. They also have ice cream logs which looks really good. It's definitely a must try the next time I visit. The place is located in an industrial area beside the Palma pasta.

In the box was: White Chocolate Peach Mousse Fruit Tart Coconut Exotic Fruit Pistachio Mousse Raspberry Mousse Log Cake Aesthetically, all the pastries looked amazing! I felt bad cutting them to take a bite! My favourite is the Coconut Exotic Fruit. All the layers tied nicely together and tasted really good! The fruit tart was also good. Im not the biggest fan of peach but it was not bad as well. The Raspberry Mousse Cake was well balanced and not too sweet or tart. Sadly to say the Pistachio Mousse that was shaped as a cute Christmas tree was my least favourite. As this was a gift, I did not visit the location in person or know the price, but I do want to eat other selection of pastries and cakes if I get the chance!

I finally caved and tried the viral L.A. fruit pastries that have completely taken over my TikTok…read morefeed. And yes, the hype is real. My total for four stunning pastries came to $34.00, but I left feeling that the splurge was well worth it for the quality and complexity of the flavors. The selection inside was almost overwhelming... a sensory overload of vibrant colours, making me want to try absolutely everything!!!!! The Strawberry was the standout star, delivering a bright, nostalgic taste that was pure Strawberry Shortcake perfection. I was equally impressed with the richness of the Dark Chocolate Espresso pastry, a deep, satisfying choice. Despite being incredibly busy, the staff was very efficient with keeping the line moving quickly. While I noticed some seating, I was so focused on the sweet goodies that I barely registered the environment. I'm already planning my next trip! A crucial heads-up, however: the pastries I enjoyed all feature a light, airy mousse filling. If that texture or lightness isn't to your taste, you might want to skip

The cake was spongy, and the cream cheese frosting was spread evenly. However, I would have preferred if the frosting was less sweet although this wasn't a deal breaker for me and I would buy this cake again. The coffee is self-served in a corner of the store by the front door, but you pay at the register. There are also two chairs by the front window but the overall space in the bakery is quite small so I wouldn't imagine a lot of customers staying to enjoy their drinks and baked goods there. We also got a latte and they offered to add cinnamon on top which was a nice touch. We also got the ham and cheese croissant which was good, but I wouldn't say that it's the best croissant ever. I would want to try other bakery items and will definitely be returning soon!

The chocolate croissant was perfect, just like ones we've had in Paris and Napa. The muffins were very good, too. Took advantage of muffin & coffee special. Lemon bread and buttermilk scones were also top-notch. Highly recommended! The waitress was so nice answering our questions without being overbearing and giving us space to explore before ordering.
