This has been a staple place for us during the pandemic. We order almost every Sunday morning from Breakfast Cafe! The food is always good, fresh and made to order! Their breakfast burritos are the bomb and my daughter loves their kids pancake (even comes Mickey Mouse style). I wish they bottled their salsa because it is amazing!!! My family loves coming here on Sundays after church! This place has great breakfast food and fast and efficient service. The staff knows my parents by now and are always welcoming and smiling as they take our order and deliver our food. It's never too crowded and we finding seating easily and enjoy the fast service since we are always starving! *Food: Avocado omelet: I don't usually eat to much of this dish, but it's my moms favorite and she gets it every time. The salsa complements the egg and avocado so well and it is def a good choice for any vegetarians out there! Breakfast burrito with bacon and chorizo: It normally has only cheese, potatoes, and eggs with an additional charge for added meats like bacon, sausage, ham, and chorizo. My brother, who isn't a fan of eggs, wasn't as keen on this burrito as I was since he felt like it was egg-overload. I didn't have any issues with the amount of egg, but I would have preferred a bit more meat since we did add those on. Regardless, dipping the burrito in the salsa from my mom's avocado omelet or in some ketchup mixed with tapatío completes this dish! French toast: I personally go for savory over sweet for breakfast food, but my sister loves her French toast. I don't mind taking a few bites myself though. It's not overall sweet or dry and great with a maple syrup drizzle. Tuna melt with avocado: This is an unusual choice for my typical breakfast food, but for some reason I was craving tuna. I personally like melts over tuna sandwiches because I like my sandwiches warm and the cheese melted! My only criticism of this would be that the sandwich is hella thicccc so it was a bit harder to bite, but other than that I was happy with this choice. *Drinks: Their homemade orange juice is perfection! I personally like pulp and chewing on it as I sip on the OJ, and it's perfectly sweetened! If ur not in the mood for coffee but want something with a more of a kick than water, than highly recommend the OJ. My boyfriend and I love this place for breakfast, the food is delicious and very affordable. The employees are always friendly and accommodating. The outdoor space is very nice during COVID-19 and the dining experience is feels safe. Employees always seem to be wearing their masks correctly. A little more on the food: American style breakfast and lunch. Everything on the breakfast menu is great, they really know how to make some good eggs. Really, a three and a half rounded up to four, cause local biz . Denver omelette was lovely, I took a picture a few bites in to show how the fillings are cooked into the omelette, which is what I prefer. I personally don't love when the eggs are just wrapped around the fillings, and then everything falls apart when you cut into it. The potatoes were fine. The option of a bagel for toast was nice. Coffee and other beverages were self serve at the counter, with cream, sugar etc. also at the counter. Service was order and pay at the counter then food brought to your table. Decor, even bathrooms were nicer than they needed to be. I'm just knocking a star (and a half if I could) because the prices, $16-$18 for an omelette, $3-$4 for a coffee, plus tip, are really, to me, sit-down full service prices, for fast casual, self serve product. I'd say I'd be back but I can't think of what would make this more appealing than a truly takeout joint that would be cheaper, or an actual full sit down at the same price. read more

Decided to venture out of the area and check this place out for bfast over the weekend. This restaurant is in the same plaza as starbucks. There's plenty of seating inside and outside the restaurant. Before taking a seat, you must order and pay for your meal at the counter. After, the drinks are self served. I ordered the California omelet and the hubs got the Denver om. By the time I got my dish, it was piping hot and every bite I took, i could see the steam coming off. The eggs were a bit overcooked but the potatoes were cooked pretty well. Wasn't a fan of the side sauce they brought, so I just stuck with the tapitio. The restaurant can get pretty loud since it's open so I would suggest sitting outside if you want to avoid all the noise. read more

In the absence of many other choices in the area, perhaps people are settling. The food came out very quickly, maybe even a bit too quickly. The hash browns were slightly burned on the bottom side... we didn't see it at first, but you sure could taste the char. The breakfast burrito was stuffed with potatoes; all you taste is bacon and potatoe... where's the egg? The chili was comparable to Tommy Burger; more liked mashed chili.... Staying in the area for the weekend and needed to find the locals hangout for breakfast. This was a solid choice! Very busy, but servers are really good about picking up used dishes, etc., which keeps folks moving and not lingering all day. We tried a breakfast burrito with sausage, a gyro sandwich (Hey, don't judge! I like lunch for breakfast!) and the fried zucchini. Everything was served piping hot and was delicious. Bacon was rubbery; French Toast order was missing the syrup; and they couldn't even bother to put foil around the food or even double-bag it so it stayed warm. The food is not as good as it was 6 months ago. I was served an Eggs Benedict today that was burnt. The eggs were cooked all the way through, which is a giant mess up with Benedict. I have been to the Breakfast Café many times for their breakfast burrito and their egg sandwich. They're right down the street from me and it's so convenient and fresh and delicious. But I had another occasion to stop by to ask if they had some coffee grounds for my garden because snails were eating my tomato plants... Chris was so kind and accommodating. He didn't have any coffee grounds that day, but promised to save me some the next day. While I was there after the lunch rush, he was cleaning the windows and everything was so immaculate. LOVED IT!!!! My husband and I were on our way to the Camarillo Outlets and we wanted to get something to eat before we do major damage on our credit cards. We got there around 10:00am on a Sunday and it was pretty packed but there were still lots of table for us to sit. The owner was very nice. He was very warm and welcoming and he let us take our time to look over the menu and ask him questions. We ordered the following: White Albacore Tuna Sandwich ($6.55): they do not skimp on the tuna, the sandwich was at least 3" tall filled with tuna. It was very good and it did not have too much mayonnaise. Ham, Egg, Cheese and Potato Breakfast Burrito ($6.95): It was about 8" long and 3" wide and 3" thick. I ate the whole thing, every bite had all the delicious filling. They gave you a side of homemade salsa and sour cream. The salsa was so good I asked for another container. Based on reviews, we expected a nice experience. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. My initial thought when we walked in was "crud, no table service." My "Breakfast special" was disgusting. I ordered sausage and received bacon. I like bacon, so not a problem. However the bacon was very thin, super crisp (think potato chip), salty and tasteless. I couldn't eat it. The "soft scrambled eggs" were watery and inedible and the potatoes were burnt. My partner ordered a burger which was overcooked and dry as shoe leather. The tomatoes were old and pithy and the burger had 8(!) sweet pickles on it. She said the steak fries were OK. For the prices they charge, the food was not worth it. We both left hungry. Unfortunately, we both got sick within 5 minutes of leaving. The only thing that was the same for both of us was the ice in our drinks. You do the math. We won't be back. read more

It was a super great price for a nice homemade-like meal but I found the overall meal very bland. Nothing was seasoned, and the potatoes and waffle were both a bit dry. They have the basic salt and pepper, hot sauce, and syrup, but the food was definitely lacking flavor. It was also not very filling sadly - both my boyfriend and I were hungry again two hours later. I tried this place for the 1st time when I was in a pinch to get some quick breakfast. Ordered the eggs Benedict, it was OK. It came with potatoes that had no seasoning or flavor to them. I love hollandaise sauce however this sauce had no flavor. Across-the-board the issue was lack of seasoning and flavor. I could have gone to CiCi's and had a much better breakfast at a higher quality or could have made it at home and would have enjoyed myself. I know it can be really tough during these times with business down due to COVID and I understand financially it must be difficult. If you cannot serve fresh products then take them off the menu. We showed up in a hot and sweaty group for lunch after a hike nearby, and occupied most of the tables that we grouped together in the outdoor seating area. Service was attentive, and cheerful. Food was inexpensive (a gyro and drink for just under $10 for me), filling, and pretty tasty. Our bolus of hikers overtaxed the kitchen briefly, so last of our group got their food quite a bit after the first in line: me :-). As we finished, we restored the tables and chairs to their original positions, earning us a grateful smile from our server. I noticed numerous little groups of friends in the restaurant: A Mahjohng game going on in the corner, a young couple, their baby, and their in-laws, etc. Obviously a family-oriented neighborhood place.
