    Teriyaki Chicken Bowl
    Amber R.

Loving The Stand right now as it's the perfect spot for every member in my family to get what they want. My son usually goes for a cheeseburger and fries. My husband does a lettuce wrapped burger with alll the toppings and a side salad. My current obsession is the teriyaki chicken bowl, sub lettuce for rice and add pickled jalapeños. Bursting with flavor, so filling and totally nourishing - chefs kiss! Parking is plentiful, though the spots right outside the restaurant can get full. The restaurant itself is bright and spacious and there's a nice patio area as well. Great to stop in with the family or online order and takeout is a breeze.

Short Rib Grilled Cheese with fries

Yum! I've been to the stand in Orange County, but decided to try this one on vacation. Yummmmm! My short rib grilled cheese was fantastic, with perfectly cooked meat, crispy onions, and the right amount of cheese. The fries were pretty good too. I recommend their ranch and bbq sauce for dipping, but I found their ranch was more of a garlic aïoli than a traditional ranch in texture and flavor. They have great outside and inside seating, though it was pretty busy seeing it was a Friday afternoon.

Atmosphere is clean, staff is nice, and food is great! There's little wait time and tons of options for vegans, vegetarians, or people who are gluten free. The chicken club was great and they have a large variety of sauces, as well as free pickles to snack on :)

Southwest chicken burger w guacamole, bacon, sweet chili aioli, and corn relish

This is a most elevated burger experience! With their house made aiolis and the astounding variety of options you can feed everyone in the family. The salads are plentiful, the bowls are amazing with plenty of veggies-the seared 2.0 burger is over the top delicious. I keep returning to the southwest chicken burger, but the shroom havarti is also stellar. Fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings are ON POINT! They have Mac n cheese and nuggets for the kids, great service, a great variety of local beers on tap. This is no greasy spoon. This is a wonderfully elevated burger experience. You'll never want to go anywhere else for a burger.

    ABC Burger

My family and I have been here twice already and both times have been freaking amazing! Hands down some of the best burgers we've ever had. We've tried the ABC Burger, chili fries, chips & guacamole, Onion Stack, and Jalapeño Burger. All the burgers were cooked perfectly to our preferences. First bites and it was heavenly. The fries on the chili fries were crispy and the chili complimented it nicely. Seriously, if you're looking for a fantastic burger and great service. The Stand is a must try.

I came back for a second time and the kids crispy chicken bites were a hit with the mini-me. Everything was as good as last time, except the chips and guac are not as good as the chili fries, but still good. This time I had the Onion Stack burger, just to try something different though I was craving another jalapeño burger. The Onion stack did not disappoint. Odd to say this considering I also had onion rings, but I can't stand the taste of onions. Thankfully, the onion strings in this burger made it more of a western bbq burger and less of an onion anything. My only complaint is that the onion rings were soft. They weren't bad, tasted alright, but not what I look for in onion rings. I like more crunch and less onion in the onion ring, but again these were ok. Based off this experience I'd say it was 4 stars, but still reminiscing about the jalapeño burger I'm keeping the review at 5. Well that's this critic's review. Until next time, I'll be eating.

We love The Stand! Our large party of 11 was easily seated at the ample outdoor tables! We all got something different, burgers, salads, sweet potato fries, shakes, and everyone loved everything! There is a variety of sauces to try so make sure to take advantage of that! The southwest chicken salad was SO good that I didn't think I would be able to finish it, but I did! I've had the wrap as well on a previous visit and it was also so fresh and a great mix of flavors! The employees were really nice and helpful. It just took a long time as the line moves slowly.

First time here and glad we did. After church, we were starving so we all got burgers, fries, onion rings and a drink. They have an extensive menu so we'll be back to try other burgers, sandwiches, salad bowls and the sauces they offer with it. The group enjoyed their Harvarti mushroom and lettuce wrap burger, everyone was happy so it was a win win.

This was my second time going in for lunch at the stand. It was busy but the line moved quickly.. all the employees were super friendly and seemed genuinely happy to work there. Immediately they reassured me there was no need to clean the table they would do it for us. Which was a nice surprise since that can be hard to do with 2 young children. My kids got the mac n cheese and the chicken bites. Both chose sweet potato fries as their side. They loved it ! I got the chicken wrap and a side of chili cheese fries. Both were outstanding. The booth we got was very comfortable and clean.

We had a dinner reservation last Saturday which we showed up a little early to have a cocktail before hand. It's located inside of a strip mall with loads of parking. A decent size patio seating. When you walk in, you're greeted with the hostess who were amazing. Right infront of you is the bar area. That itself isn't big at all. There's a few seat along the bar area and that's about it. Also inside dining isn't big as well. Restaurants wasn't massive but nice and quaint and very busy. We were told that if we wanted to grab a drink and take it outside to a spot while we wait for our table it would be fine. They would come get us once it's ready. Cocktails and wine menu was quite nice. They do allow you to bring up to two bottles for a corkage fee. Which we did take advantage of. But beforehand, started off with their smoke and sour cocktails. Mezcal, lime, hibiscus juice, farm egg whites and cherry bitters. It was quite delicious and that smoked mezcal, wow. If you like mezcal, it's worth trying. Bar area isn't big so we had to stand there and wait for our drink. Maybe a 10 to 15 minutes later, we were informed our table was ready. We were seated right behind the bar area for a table for four. I believe Jonathan was our waiter. Very sweet and friendly. Also, it did seemed like a lot of regulars. All the staff members seem to know everyone that was dining. Menu is limited but quite impressive. We started off with a few shared plates before the entrees. -Ember roasted red beets with preserved lemon crèma, spiced pumpkin seeds, pickled Fresno chilis and mint. Wow, it was delicious. The flavors with the beets, kiss kiss. -Smoke trout toast- blisters cherry tomatoes, candy beets, wild arugula, crème fraiche and lemon. This was top dish for starters from all of us. The flavor of the trout was the star of the dish. Highly recommend. -Mushrooms flatbread- shiitake, buna shimeji and oyster mushrooms, tarragon, fiore di Latte mozzarella and crème fraiche. Mushrooms lovers with amazing variety all combined together for a delicious bite. -Spicy scampi flatbread- rock shrimp, parsley, garlic, Calabrian chilis and parmigiano reggiano. It's literally having a seafood scampi but on a flatbread. Wow wow, favorite out of the two flatbread. Definitely recommend. Entrees, Manila clams and salt spring mussels tossed in spaghetti with Calabrian chilis and parsley. The flavors were excellent. Simple but very tasty. -Crispy gnocchi with cherry tomatoes, basil in a Parmesan fondue. It's alway a hit or miss for me but this was a hit. And the elk which was maybe a special. Not quite sure the whole description but it was very tasty. Plus it was very tender and cooked perfectly and mixed with a sauce and topped with crispy onions. Another hit. Lastly we actually had room left for dessert which was the bread pudding. Hot with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end an amazing meal. The service was great. Food was excellent and highly recommended. Each dish had its unique taste that was delicious. Everything ordered was outstanding and no crumbs were left. We would definitely be back.

Naveed took care of me at the bar where I began with the perfectly prepared Moody Rooster Old Fashion. Added to that Just a couple appetizers this time: the Burrata and Artichoke, and the Sea Bream crudo. The former had a beautiful burrata mound atop artichoke hearts, pine nuts, and olive oil. Perfect blending of flavors. The crudo was equally well-received. An ample pile dressed up in the center of a shallow bowl, with plenty of olive oil, as opposed to being slices merely laid flat on a plate. Fortunately I'll be back in the area in a week. can't wait to return!

For appetizers we had: - deviled eggs - came with 5 halves and were just meh - poke nachos - onion rings - massive for 5 ppl but pretty standard Entrees are slightly small but it matches the price. Peggy's crispy chicken sandwich was crispy but kinda tasteless. The truffle fries came with lots of cheese and were good. The Wagyu burger was good. Splitting the check on the machine was so smooth. As a huge mushroom fan, like my love has dumped me deep into etymological fixation, I didn't know I could become more obsessed with mushrooms. Then the portobello fries came in. Crispy. Parmesan. Goodness. I feel an addiction developing that I pray I win over. I could eat 7 of these as my last meal and die happy without the rest of my life to supplement my case. The tuna tartare wasn't my favorite but there's nothing wrong with it; the seaweed is a nice salty and textural flair, tuna is fresh and cuts through the oil on the chips. The crab cake was also delicious, you could get really tender and juicy crab flavor through it, like butter. Mini sliders were also nice, kind of dense but the au jus helps a lot with that. And the jambalaya was amazing. Creamy, tomatoey (I think?), perfectly seasoned goodness. I think the andouille sausage, shrimp, and blackened chicken are a little washed in the blend rather than adding to it, but I wont complain about an already pretty good plate of jambalaya. Our server, Daisy, was also so amazing!! I swear the food tasted better than it's ever had in previous trips either here or their Malibu/Calabasas locations, and she is the independent variable. She was checking in on us, made sure we had everything we'd ever need, sang me happy birthday, and brought me an ice cream unprompted. At the time the dining room was sparsely populated, only a few other tables were seated. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered within a few minutes of sitting down; my wife ordered the seafood pasta I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the tomato burrata salad as an appetizer. After about 20 minutes the waitress returned to let us know that they were out of the pasta, so my wife asked for the risotto instead. The salad arrived quickly, however my wife noted that it was missing grilled peaches that were listed in the menu description, a disappointment. The salad itself was balsamic dressed cherry tomatoes with a single piece of burrata on top. Another 40 minutes later our entrees finally arrived. Much to my dismay my dish lacked any appreciable character; it was as if they had cooked six month old frozen pasta and thrown up a brown sauce with fried sage on top. My wife's risotto was mostly cheese but was also similarly devoid of other flavors. Now to be fair to the folks here, I did mention to the waitstaff that the flavors in the food were off and they did reduce the bill. They were also apologetic about the wait we faced. Nevertheless, restaurants have three things they need to do well in order to be successful: food, service and ambience. Perhaps if they improved the quality of the food and the time to service more people would come. Needless to say, but I won't be returning.

I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!
