Hadn't been in a while, was in the neighborhood and stopped in. They didn't disappoint. Service great! Food is excellent Thrilled it's still a great breakfast/brunch spot

Not what it used to be. Although I continue to appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the concept, the experience has diminished significantly... especially the service. Today, I felt rushed, even though there was nobody in line behind me. The matcha latte arrived lukewarm and gritty. The croissant was gooey (not airy) and too sweet. There was a hair in my bowl; which happens and I don't freak about these things, but it just wasn't handled well enough. I ended up watching my son eat his $30 burger while I sipped my cold latte. So not worth it. I used to love coming here but I'm likely not going back.

Highway robbery. Got a breakfast wrap with avocado and swapped the salad out for berries and it added up to be $37. Food was mediocre but at least serving size was good. Overall disappointing for the amount you pay and product you get. Hopefully they did use eggs from a royal chicken bc omg.

Super healthy and yummy spot! Everything was organic and farm to table. On the pricier side but it's super tasty and big portions. I wasn't disappointed and would come back. Food came out quick and we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful weather. 10/10!

Always a joy to indulge in this beautiful, healthy, tasty and abundant Harvest Bowl for lunch or breakfast at the Royal Egg Cafe. Always hot, fresh, and cooked to order. Plenty of tables, inside or out. A favorite!!!!

Delectable benedict - the egg was perfectly poached and the croissant was crunchy on the outside and soft and decadent on the inside. They include an auto 15% gratuity for their staff. Order at the counter and they bring your food. Parking was easy and plentiful. Meal came out to just under $30 which is the reason for docking a star. It's a little high for my taste considering it was just for a meal no beverage.

I love going to restaurants that take pride in quality ingredients and presentation, and The Royal Egg Cafe did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, plates served neat and clean, and our dishes were very satisfying. They offer a variety of in-house made pastries. The staff was super friendly and offered great suggestions. The restaurant was clean and tidy and a perfect space for a nice brunch with family or friends. The Matcha Lavender Honey Latte was delightful. Made with ceremonial-grade matcha, it had a rich, smooth flavor that had the perfect balance of honey and lavender. The Mary's Organic Chicken Club was grilled to perfection and the applewood-smoked bacon and arugula added the perfect flavors to the sandwich. The kale salad was so fresh and the shaved fennel was so good (never had this before)! The Huevos Rancheros was pretty filling. I love that the avocados were really fresh and the dish was really flavorful. Now, for the blueberry scone!! I'm typically not a scone person, but OMG, this scone - which is made in house - was moist, dense, not dry at all, and wasn't too sweet, but yet satisfied my pallet for something sweet! It was a nice ending to my meal. A bit on the pricey side, but I think you will be pleased with the fresh, quality ingredients!

    View from the patio

The food here is unparalleled! The menu items are so unique. Even the classic breakfast combo is elevated. My favorite is the wagyu tacos. Highly recommend their house made salsa on whatever you get. The service is super friendly & accommodating. I personally appreciate a counter order because of the speed & convenience. If you're here on the weekend, definitely get a cinnamon roll for the table. You will not be disappointed.

Solid brunch spot. We came here over the weekend and had a delicious meal. It located in North Ranch Gateway plaza, next to TJ-Maxx. The interior has cozy, modern vibe with variety of seating options - handful of tables, large communal, windows seating and patio. Their display case of fresh baked pastries, croissants and biscuits looked super inviting. Menu is a bit on pricey side, but ingredients are good quality and portions plentiful. We got started on fresh brewed coffee and dirty chai tea latte which were refreshingly good. We ordered crispy Mary's chicken sandwich, country breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito and cheddar jalapeno biscuit & gravy with eggs. Everything was delicious, our table got quiet because we were immersed in our food. I'm not big biscuit and gravy type person, but their cheddar jalapeno biscuit & gravy had me at hello. It was absolutely scrumptious! Biscuit and gravy were well made, bursting with flavor. Also, eggs cooked perfectly over-medium and sausage tasted homemade. Breakfast burrito was excellent too. We enjoyed it more with their house-made chile de arbol hot sauce. Smoky, spicy and flavorful packs nice kick. All in all, great food and experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

Showing no mention of an orange zest!!

They claim to be a scratch kitchen but maybe they are closer to a BATCH kitchen! I called to ask if they can remove the GROSS orange zest from the French toast and they told me no because the batters pre made meaning they don't make everything from scratch to Order ! wouldn't recommend this place or the food as they seem dishonest on their claim of being made from scratch! Also some people want Normal plain food without adding things like huckleberry or orange zest to a KIDS meal! You as the owner may love orange zest but some people might prefer without ! I am not mistaken and also BTW the kids meal on menu even claims online to be "cinnamon French toast" with NO mention of orange zest like the adult sized portion yet it is orange zest and not cinnamon only ! You sir as the owner are wrong today . Not the customer:)

    Organic Bacon

The bacon here is the most delicious on Earth and organic to boot. The lemon ricotta huckleberry pancakes are always delicious, no matter whether I dine in or take out. I also enjoy the lemonade whenever I order from here. However, there are a wide variety of options from coffee, tea, matcha, to juices. The service was wonderfully refreshing, even for a takeout order. Naturally, the atmosphere is relaxed and intentional in design, with elevated seating and outdoor tables, shaded from the sun. The price is well worth the tantalizing experience on your tongue.

Rolled in at 8:45 AM to beat the brunch rush -- smart move. The Royal Benedict was royalty-worthy: thick, crispy bacon, juicy tomato, buttery croissant, and a kale + fennel salad that actually made me want salad. Moderate prices, plenty of parking, and perfect for catching up with a friend or two. Inside's cozy (translation: large groups, good luck), but the vibe is relaxed and unhurried. Counter service, food brought to you, and self-serve water stations -- café casual done right. I came. I ate. I'll be back.

I was out in westlake and was hungry so decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised at how big their menu was and how many different items they had to offer. From healthy bowls, to delicious breakfast sandwiches and even a kids menu. I got the country breakfast sandwich which was delicious with bacon, arugula, egg, tomato and grilled onions. The bread was freshly baked and toasted perfectly. My daughter got the French toast which was cooked perfectly that you could cut it with just a fork. It came with strawberries and blueberries and was delicious. They share a parking lot with a few other restaurants and shops but there was plenty of parking. They close at 2pm but let us order at 1:20 and sit down and enjoy our meal. I definitely want to come back and try other items on the menu!

Probably one dish for two people is plenty. Don't over order. I ordered a side of eggs and bacon for each of my boys and it was all way too much. A family nearby brought a loud toy truck for their child that continuously made an extremely high-pitched screeching and beeping noise throughout our meal. It wasn't just us who found it disruptive--several other customers also brought it to the staff's attention. Unfortunately, nothing was done, and it completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. Had we known this was the atmosphere we were paying for, we honestly would have gone somewhere like McDonald's instead. The food itself was a mixed experience. My boyfriend ordered the loco moco and really enjoyed it. I had the pancakes, which had great flavor but were a little on the dry side. The sweet potato fries were delicious, although the ranch dipping sauce was surprisingly bland and lacked flavor. My Diet Coke was also flat. It's disappointing because the food had some strong points, but the lack of attention to the dining experience really overshadowed everything else. We understand that restaurants can't control every guest, but when multiple customers express concerns about a major disturbance, we would expect staff to at least attempt to address it. Overall, I'm not sure I can recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Note: I'd also like to mention that the service was inconsistent throughout our visit. We ended up being helped by several different servers, which made it difficult to know who was actually taking care of our table. At one point, we simply wanted to order another drink. Our server told us he would be back shortly to take our order, but he never returned. After waiting for quite some time, we eventually had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to order a drink. Between the lack of attentive service and the way the disturbance was handled, the overall experience was disappointing.
