The Breakfast House location we visited is a smaller place on a corner near Wrigleyville. It can get pretty packed here on weekends but we were able to get a table quickly at noon on a Saturday. The three egg omelette is surprisingly large and comes with both potatoes and pancakes or toast. While my normal place for breakfast offers bigger portions and three pancakes for the same price, I like that the portion sizes here are a little less, as it keeps you from overeating. It's also BYOB which is great and keeps the cost down. It takes a while to get your food after you order but it's worth the wait. read more

He took my coffee cup! After being seated by the hostess, I waited a long time for anyone to take my order. The waiter was generally neglectful, paying much more attention to his other customers than to me. I ran completely out of coffee and water before I was able to get his attention and beg for more. I only got the one refill. When I finished eating I despaired more and simply asked for the check. Would you believe he took my coffee cup which I clearly had not finished drinking?? Without asking if I wanted it. Which clearly I did. And then he disappeared again. Waiting waiting waiting to pay. Just pathetic. read more

Came on a Saturday with a large group of 17 and was offered immediate outside seating. Best breakfast I ever had. I got the hash and every aspect from the flavors to the textures was spot on. Ordered steak and eggs med rare.. steak came out more than well done and I couldn't get my server LEOS attention through the window to explain this or get more coffee.. I ate the eggs and fruit and when he finally came back outside he asked if he could swap the steak out for me. No thanks I said. Just more coffee. they did adjust the bill to 50% off however, $15 for a coffee and two eggs seemed like an insult. Why not comp the bill and hope I return? We went to this establishment based off a relative's recommendation that they had good breakfasts. We were not disappointed. My husband chose the supreme chorizo hash and I had the breakfast house hash. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his. My husband also ordered the Blood Mary, extra, extra spicy. He stated it was the best extra spicy Bloody Mary he has ever had, as other restaurants do not put in enough heat in it when he orders the same thing elsewhere. The breakfast house hash was delicious, and I particularly loved the roasted potatoes with chicken and andouille sausage, onions and red peppers. The poached egg was cooked perfectly. However, after looking at the menu online to refresh my memory on the name of the dish I ordered, I noticed that I was supposed to get two eggs on my plate and I only received one, which is disappointing. If we lived in the area, we would definitely go back here for breakfast. read more

Went here prior to a Cubs game. Great location and service was good. Food was unimpressive. I had the Mexican omelette and it was bland and not well prepared. Veggies and ingredients weren't grilled much and added to the middle of the eggs. My daughter had the crepes. They were more like pancakes rolled up and filled. By far some of the best breakfast I've had. Walked in and was immediately greeted with kindness. Ordered the chicken and waffles and BYO omelette that came with potatoes and a pancake. Holy??
