Vanilla Latte
Amanda B.

Cute and cozy brunch spot. Small space so there could be a wait for a table. We had reservations for 10 and this small spot made it work! Free WiFi and QR code menu located on all the tables. Restaurant is decorated with Portugal tiles and plates. Service was fast and all of the food came out made to order. Prices are reasonable and there is a lot to choose from on the menu. This was a great way to start our day trip in Lisbon!

Earth Sea and Sky Toast

An excellent brunch option if you're staying in the Alfalma area! Situated a few steps and staircase down from the Lisbon Cathedral, this is the ideal spot to fuel up before a full day of sightseeing. We got the Pulvo (Octopus) Benedict and the Earth Sea Sky Toast, both of which were delicious -- even as someone who's not typically a big brunch person, I licked my plate clean. The octopus benedict included a generous helping of tender, meaty tentacles with an accompanying tangy sauce on the side, while the Earth Sea Sky Toast featured a medley of ingredients including cream cheese on sourdough with pickled veggies, a poached egg, lox and avo spread for a tasty blend of textures and flavors. In addition to numerous coffee options, they also have a variety of freshly pressed juices-- we got the Raddish, which was a blend of carrot, beet and ginger, super refreshing! I also got the latte which was good but kinda wished I had sampled another fresh fruit juice instead. I've read numerous reviews about long waits but we arrived around 9am on a weekday with no line or wait whatsoever so I imagine the volume picks up on weekends and perhaps mid-day. Service was friendly and efficient and there are also clean bathrooms available. Highly recommend Breakfast Lovers if you wish to sample the Lisbon brunch scene -- the food is certainly as yummy as it is Instagrammable (:

Great place to start the day. It was pretty empty when they first opened but started to fill up as the morning went on. The pancakes were fluffy and coated in toppings. The juices were fresh, and the eggs came with a refreshing salad. I'd recommend if you are looking for a solid breakfast

We stopped by here on our first day in Lisbon and the food was great! We were able to walk in without a reservation and the food came within 15 minutes. The Eggs Benedicts were cooked perfectly and the prices are fair. Definitely recommend it!

Cute cafe with nice decor. We didnt have a reservation but we were seated right away. There werent that many people working so service was a little slow and they ran out of something we ordered so they gave us some pancakes on the house which was very nice! The food was very tasty and filling. We got the shrimp and salmon benedicts and an acai bowl. Everything was good

Visited 6/11/25. Breakfast Lovers is a delight and I would definitely recommend if you are in Lisbon! My mom and I split the breakfast combo which included a hot coffee drink, a cold coffee drink, a mini açaí bowl, a savory breakfast item (avocado toast or a Benedict), and a dessert (we got a mini stack of the caramel pancakes). This special was perfect for the both of us and we thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ate. My sister got an avocado toast which she loved as well. It does get slightly busier here so get there earlier as needed.

If you're a breakfast lover visiting Alfama, this is your must-visit spot! Tucked away in the charming cobblestone streets, this cozy café is the perfect blend of authentic Lisbon vibes and mouthwatering breakfast delights. You would probably walk right by it if you weren't looking for it. It's a hidden gem down some random looking stairs. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Their menu is a dream come true for breakfast enthusiasts: various Eggs Benedict options, flaky pastel de nata, buttery croissants, hearty avocado toast, and traditional Portuguese bread with homemade jams. The souffle like pancakes are perfect. So many to choose from, you'll need to visit Breakfast Lovers more than just once while you're here. The coffee art is as wonderful as the coffee itself. The Menu Breakfast for 19€ was my favorite option on the menu. Choice of hot or cold drink, 3 eggs any way, potatoes or breads with jam, guacamole, ham and cheese or fresh cheese. Protein choices include bacon, shrimp, salmon and more. For dessert you can choose from 3 different pancakes or a Acai Bowl. The breakfast included a yummy salad with pickled onions. The atmosphere is unbeatable--think sun-drenched windows, rustic decor in a below ground section of a cathedral, and a vibe that invites you to linger a little longer. It's perfect whether you're starting your day or enjoying a leisurely brunch. Breakfast in Alfama doesn't get better than this. Highly recommended for foodies, coffee lovers, and anyone who wants to start their day with a smile. I'll definitely be back! Open from 8-4

Honestly, I started out with 4 out of 5 stars. Food was tasty. They charge for tap water. Poor WiFi signal when you sit inside. Dropped to 2 stars for the expense and they force you to use cash saying we prefer cash but not giving you any options to use your card. I will not return and do not recommend a visit.

If you are looking for a fantastic stop in Lisbon for breakfast (food), look no further. In this charming eatery, you can expect bustle, big portions, and excellent service. Breakfast Lovers has it dialed in. If you think of it, make a reservation, if you don't, like us, plan to wait a bit. We thankfully showed earlier so our wait was minimal. If you show much past 8:30/9 (as a guess) there will be a huge line. You will be sitting close to your fellow Breakfast Lovers as the restaurant is very small but have no fear, it is all part of the experience. Tips: Menus are electronic so make sure someone in your group has a working phone. They prefer cash and while they can take cards, just know, they will ask for cash first. Food: we wished we shared a dish or two between the three of us. Serving size was massive but I wasn't willing to waste my food so I made it work aka, absolutely over ate. Glad I didn't waste one drip of my delicious breakfast though. Fun place! Put this on your list.

One morning on our trip to Lisbon, Portugal, we decided to stop by breakfast lovers for our morning meal. We surprisingly found it to be one of the BEST places we ate at on the trip! The omelette was the favorite for our group, but we also tried the benny benedict and a few other meals. Other than the food being absolutely incredible, the service was outstanding and we really felt connected to our waitress! They also provide free wifi, and 5 euro bag drop off for any travelers that want to be hands-free while exploring the town. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very warm and inviting, and had a very old fashioned feel to it. Overall this is very high rated on my restaurants in Lisbon, and I recommend that you stop by to try it whenever you're around.

Had King Benedict and it is amazing! The best breakfast I have ever had. Every single ingredient is well prepared and cooked. Perfect porched egg and savory salmon. Coffee is also great. The dine in experience is great too. It is a popular restaurant so you probably need to get there a little early to grab a seat. The speed of serving is fast. Love the plate decorations. Highly recommend!

This place is so so adorable and the food was amazing!! It does get very busy there so just be ready to either wait for a table or be a bit squished. We did the build your own and it was delicious. Two drinks, eggs, meat or avocado, either toast or potatoes as a side, and dessert side. Fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing

I ordered the halloumi pancake, and was so pleased with how balanced the sweet, savory, and spicy flavors were. The pancake is fluffy and only slightly sweet, and the halloumi is baked into the top, hidden underneath the eggs. The bacon was thin and well cooked, but still chewy. And the avocado was nice and ripe! Others at our table ordered the eggs benedict, which was served on a super thick slice of brioche bread, the scrambled eggs, and the egg sandwich. All were super delicious. The sausage tray bake was "superb" according to my grandfather too! They are also very kind and accommodating here. Our party of 6 had two elderly grandparents, to whom the staff offered seats inside while we waited for a table. The wait was not long at all, and we were all seated within 10 minutes without a reservation.

It was nice to be able to people watch as you peruse through the streets.

The service was super fast and friendly. The pastel de nata came out perfectly, with that delicate flaky crust and warm custard that just hits differently when you know it was made moments ago. The espresso was equally impressive, rich and smooth, and the two together make for a simple but near perfect combination. The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!

I typically try to avoid overly touristy spots, but this time I had to rely on Yelp, TikTok, and Google to guide me. While the food scene overall didn't completely win me over, Seagull Method Café stood out in a big way -- this was hands-down the best meal I had in Lisbon. Located in a charming pink building on a quiet street, the café has a cozy, casual vibe. After a bit of a walk uphill, we were seated at a small table by an open window that overlooked the street. The interior is stylish yet relaxed, full of personality and the kind of place you could easily settle into for a slow brunch or an afternoon coffee. Service was on the slower side -- it took a while to get our check and there was a bit of waiting between ordering and receiving our food -- but our waitress was friendly and welcoming. She offered a couple of recommendations that we wouldn't have chosen on our own, and I'm so glad we trusted her. We shared two dishes between the two of us, one sweet and one savory, and it was more than enough. * The savory dish featured corn fritters served with an avocado tomatillo sauce. They were crispy, fresh, and absolutely bursting with flavor -- one of those dishes you think about long after the trip is over. * The sweet dish was their take on French toast: a crème brûlée-style toast with a caramelized top, fresh berries, and a luscious whipped cream or cream cheese topping. It was one of the best French toast preparations I've ever had -- perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. To drink, I ordered a chai latte (beautifully spiced and creamy) and a fresh orange juice that was so vibrant it tasted like it had just been squeezed. My sister had a house-made lemonade that was equally refreshing and flavorful. In total, we ordered six beverages and two full meals, and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the final bill was for the quality and quantity. Although Seagull Method Café doesn't seem to be featured on every "must-try" list, it absolutely should be. When we left, there was a line wrapped around the building, which tells me the locals are in on the secret. Our server also mentioned they have a sister restaurant called POMME Eatery, which we didn't have time to visit -- but based on this meal, I wouldn't hesitate to check it out next time. If this café were in Florida, I'd be a regular. For now, it remains one of my favorite hidden gems in Lisbon -- a place I'd go back to in a heartbeat.
