I saw this place on tik tok and really wanted to go here after seeing the Turkish Egg dish! They have several locations. We ate at the Chiado location since it was close to our airbnb. There was a line but it wasn't too long of a wait. The service was good, atmosphere was boisterous & fun. The lattes were really good! One of our friends is a huge coffee snob and she gave this place a thumbs up. We all ended up ordering the Turkish eggs dish. It was so good! It's really saucy. I wish they gave more bread because there was plenty of sauce to soak up! I highly recommend this dish. This place was so good that we came here twice. I definitely recommend!

My Turkish eggs hit the spot after eating pasteis de natas for breakfast five days in a row. A generous portion of creamy yogurt, a couple of nicely poached eggs and a splash of hot sauce was the perfect combo to slather atop the crusty bread. My chai latte was bomb too! My fiancé enjoyed his hearty salmon Benedict, which was made with brioche bread instead of the regular English muffin we're accustomed to. The cardamom bun we would probably skip. It was dense and not very cardamom forward. Our server was great and I give her kudos for her handling of the table next to us which was so ridiculous with their questions/demands/requests even my usually oblivious partner commented about them.

This is a small coffee shop & prepare to stand in line outside to get in, even if you're ordering to go. It's worth the wait whether you're eating in or taking a coffee to go. The food all look amazing, we were getting coffee to go, it did not disappoint. Ambiance, small, packed yet not overly loud. Shall hit it again on our way out of Portugal. Our only current regret was not buying coffee beans while there, darn!

We tried the mushroom and salmon toasts and the syrniki (ukranian pancakes). The brioche toasts were very fluffy and the food was all really flavorful. Nice ambiance and service was good too

The Folks is yet another lovely café in Lisbon! They have multiple locations and the service was great! The location we went to had a huge patio space that was perfect for breakfast! I got the avocado toast and lemonade and both were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend

    - [ ] I visited The Folks on a Wednesday around 11 am. I had first walked over to their other location, but the kitchen there was closed for renovations so they recommended I head to this one instead if I wanted to order a dish. There was a bit of a line when I arrived, but I only waited about 20 minutes to be seated. The interior had a cool design & a lively, social atmosphere--perfect for brunch with friends. I ordered their syrniki. The presentation was stunning & the dish itself was delicious. I loved the mango twist they added to the classic recipe. They also have a great selection of specialty coffees--I unfortunately didn't order one this time. I'd definitely love to visit again to try more of their dishes & drinks!

Would love to come back to The Folks! The line to dine in was long but I got a Tiramisu latte to go and it was delicious! I'm not normally a coffee drinker but the sweetness of this latte was just right and gave me a perfect pick me up on the walk toward Alfama. The restaurant is in a cute alleyway and the seating is gorgeous, I would love to come back one day and try the food!

We had just gotten off the plane, and were in need of caffeine and a bite of food. The Folks was an excellent choice for both. This little spot is surprisingly small, and punches way above its weight in the quality of its food. They clearly take their coffee program seriously as well, and all the addicts with me were extremely pleased with their choices (I don't drink coffee). I knew the day was going to be long and full of rich food, so I ordered the greek yogurt with caramelized banana and fresh berries. Around the table, there were some benedicts chosen, an avocado toast, and the turkish eggs. Every single dish was beautiful and tasty. It's a coffeeshop, but back in the kitchen they are taking the time and care to take food from simple to excellent. Someone blowtorched my banana for gods' sakes. If I wasn't on vacation and into exploring the rest of the city, I would've gladly eaten here a couple more times.

This cafe has a super fun interior space to enjoy your coffee and share lunch. The focaccia sandwich had fresh ingredients and soft, seasoned focaccia holding it all together. The coconut flat white had a good taste but unfortunately had quite a bit of grittiness (coffee grounds? powdered coconut?) that made it hard to drink.

Absolutely delicious, fresh, and original brunch food!! Nothing beats the quality of European eggs,…read moreand luckily here they have an "egg-forward" menu. I ordered the halloumi pancake, and was so pleased with how balanced the sweet, savory, and spicy flavors were. The pancake is fluffy and only slightly sweet, and the halloumi is baked into the top, hidden underneath the eggs. The bacon was thin and well cooked, but still chewy. And the avocado was nice and ripe! Others at our table ordered the eggs benedict, which was served on a super thick slice of brioche bread, the scrambled eggs, and the egg sandwich. All were super delicious. The sausage tray bake was "superb" according to my grandfather too! They are also very kind and accommodating here. Our party of 6 had two elderly grandparents, to whom the staff offered seats inside while we waited for a table. The wait was not long at all, and we were all seated within 10 minutes without a reservation.

We were some of the first to be seated and the last to be served. Everyone has different palates so maybe you'll love your food. I think the best parts about this place are the architectural style of the building & how close you are to some really cool shops/libraries (check out Salted Books). It was nice to be able to people watch as you peruse through the streets.
