I have been really skeptical of all HVAC companies in the past 5 years. I have been burned by so many HVAC techs and wasted so much money. 4 different companies went through with different shadiness levels giving me different answers for the same HVAC issue. Every company kept telling me my freon was low and i most likely had a leak. One company even told me to just replace my brand new system cause "it was from China" The Jaguar tech (Jeff) definitely gave me some disappointed head shakes at previous work but was the only one to truly put his head down, work, and diagnose the root cause of the issue. He checked every part of the system before he gave me an answer on what he believed was wrong. After the diagnosis he detailed every part of the HVAC unit (and attic unit) and explained to me what he was looking for, what he found, and what he believed was the answer. I never felt like he was up-selling me. It wasn't even a freon issue to begin with and the filter drier needed to be replaced. After another visit and a 4 hour procedure my HVAC unit has been running smoothly all Summer 2026. I will seriously only call this company from now on.

After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. We needed new insulation for our crawlspace and updated insulation in our attic as recommended by a home inspector/structural engineer. We're glad we did because it feels less drafty in our home and the southwest corner of our house no longer bakes in the afternoon. My husband was very pleased when working with Ruben. Ruben clearly explained the issues in our attic i.e. accumulated heat, lacked ventilation, and the 70 year insulation had deteriorated, and made suggestions on what could be done. We were given multiple quotes to work within our budget. We are very happy with Ruben and crew's work as it is held to a very high standard.
