I've been shopping at the Vitamin Shoppe for many years--I've been to this one, the one on Westwood…read moreBlvd, Fairfax Blvd, Ventura Blvd, Rosecrans Blvd, Costa Mesa, Irvine, and probably a bunch more I can't recall right now. Whenever I see one, I take note or stop in. The one thing all the Vitamin Shoppes have in common is that they all sell Vitamins. And the other thing they all have in common is that they are all Boring. I really don't know how you make them exciting. Maybe put some energetic music on. Most of the employees don't even seem excited to be working with all these Vitamins. Maybe they need to take more Vitamins? Is there a Vitamin that gets you excited about your job?--whatever it is? I would take one! Prices here are basically the same as most anywhere--I compare them to Whole Foods on some Vitamins and they are about the same, sometimes Whole Foods has a sale so it's less. Most of the big Vitamin names control (fix) their retail prices. They also sell some things here that are bad for you like the Lenny & Larry sugar cookies--don't eat that crap. Lenny pays for placement in the store right in front. They make you believe you are getting high protein and you end up high on sugar. I usually come here for Solgar Vitamin C--Solgar is one of the oldest Vitamin Companies--been making Vitamins before most of the other brands--very high quality. I also get the Nature's Way Multi-Vitamin for men. I always wonder what would happen to me if I took the Woman's Vitamin. My friend says that if I took the Woman's Vitamin it would save me a lot of money because I would not have to pay for dates anymore....I said Yeaaa...but what if the Vitamin causes me to grow long blond hair--that's expensive to color and cut monthly... Anyway, they have parking in the back here or at the meters on the side. I sometimes lock my bike to a pole in the front--no bike rack. Products are usually very fresh, but check dates always. I will keep coming here or any of the other Vitamin Shoppes. I just wish there was a way to jazz these stores up somehow. Maybe I will start my own Vitamin Store called, "The Funny Vitamin."

They did not honor posted prices; went against their own advertising. Overall place needs a revamp of their staff, otherwise they gonna fall victim to Amazon. Remember the only difference to shop at vitamin shoppe is to have a human help, you don't get that here, so may as well buy from Amazon.

I was there as a haircare product demonstrator to give out samples and take a count of some of the products there. They refused to give me a table. My product was close to the bottom shelf, which I counted, dusted, and then typed up a report on my phone for my business. They kindly reported me to my company for texting on my phone and sitting in the aisle. What, they expected me to kneel or lay on the floor? There were almost no customers, so you would think they had their own restocking to do instead of monitoring what I was doing. Plus it was super-dusty. I guess those bishes didn't dust? What absolute bishes. Maybe it was because smartphones were newish in 2011? I had just been at Erewhons and they were all supernice to me there. The contrast was glaring. While this was in 2011, it left a very bad taste in my mouth, so I can't support their business when they treat visitors so poorly. I probably should have immediately complained to management. So here I am complaining to Yelp 15 years later. But seriously, anywhere I go as a demonstrator, I am also a potential customer for lunch, groceries, or whatnot. So I guess it's Erewhons and Whole Foods for me.

From the moment I walked in, the employee working there had absolutely zero interaction with me. Not a greeting, not a "can I help you?", nothing...not even during checkout. I understand people have off days, but this was beyond simply being quiet. There was a sample drink sitting on the counter, so I asked, "I'm sorry, what is that sample drink?" He looked at me with genuine confusion and simply replied, "It's a regular latte." Like... really? If you're that miserable working there, let me help you find a different job. Customer service doesn't require pretending to be overly enthusiastic it requires basic courtesy, acknowledgment, and a willingness to interact with customers. The products may be good, but the experience I had today was disappointing. When you're paying for premium health products, you should reasonably expect premium customer service as well.
