Flew southwest to providence, had breeze for direct flight home from providence to denver. Never again. Myself and 5 others were not allowed to get on the plane as we were told the craft is overweight and the long runway at Providence was under construction or something. They had a uniformed officer there to be sure we didn't get too upset with the situation, but we were all angry and stuck. This was on Wednesday night 7/22/26. So they gave us 4x our flight cost as compensation, big deal, I got $998 on a phone wallet only card, which I don't use a wallet either so that stunk. Cost me over $700 for me to book my own flight out the next day at 5:25am. I slept (tried to) in the terminal as there was only about 6 hours till boarding and I was not comfortable trying to find a hotel. Bottom line, I will never, ever fly or recommend breeze, ever. The airport pple said there was no phone number to call and would have to be handled with text or email only. What airline does not have a physical number? They said they could not book us on another flight, they do not do that, that was up to ourselves. ps. When first asked, the next breeze flight out was on Saturday....so 3 days later. As a family (10 travelers) we planned to take Breeze from our local airport to Orlando. The flight down went well and there were no problems. However coming home was a disaster. The return flight was planned for 8:30 p.m. departure and, given the large size of our group and having everything from children to seniors, we arrived at the airport two hours in advance and proceeded to the gate. No sooner were we past TSA the dreaded flight delay message was received. 8:30 p.m. was now 9:15 p.m. No worries, just a minor delay. The gate agent had little information, or wasn't sharing much, but it was the usual "the incoming flight from Wilmington is delayed but will be here" response. Fast forward 7 separate delays to 12:30 a.m. The flight was grounded in Wilmington due to mechanical issues and they cannot locate a repair part. The first set of gate agents had left hours ago and we now have a Supervisor talking with us. Strangely he would not use the p.a. to make announcements, so you had to stand at the desk and try to hear his directions which he did not want to readily share with the group but rather tried to talk to people individually. What was he hiding? Breeze gave each confirmation number a $20 voucher for food. $20 in an airport doesn't go far when there are five people on a reservation. Breeze is also good at playing the waiting game. By government rule, if you decide to rebook a flight due to delays, they only have to credit you for what you paid for the original delayed flight - not for your replacement flight. If you stand your ground and wait, you are at their mercy but theoretically they have to arrange to get you home on their airline at no additional cost. Back to the saga. Finally the news comes, that due to the mechanical issue and no ability to replace the aircraft, Breeze must cancel the flight. However, no help on logistics is offered by Breeze and the stranded passengers had to press the gate agent for information on reimbursement for hotel rooms, replacement flight, etc. He made a couple of calls and came back and said we would be reimbursed up to $150 per room, save the receipts and submit them to Breeze. We luckily found a hotel with a shuttle for right at $150 and got three rooms. Also, Breeze would not hold our luggage so we had to go to the carousel, wait 20 minutes, (why so long? it wasn't on a plane, right!) then haul it all back to the hotel. We made it to the room by 2 a.m. Breeze had said they would arrange a flight around noon the following day to take all the passengers home. Upon arriving at the hotel we received a message that the return flight was scheduled for 8:30 a.m., not "around noon" as told, meaning up at 6:00 a.m. to return to the airport. The next morning, checking in for our flight with all of our luggage, we arrived in plenty of time, supposedly. The Breeze line had over 100 passengers in line with only three agents. Then one left his post to carry a set of golf clubs down the stairs and was gone for 20 minutes. Disregarding those of us who arrived on time for our flights, the agents started announcing flights that were "closing" and instructed people to bypass the line and come to the front - making us stand there and wait. The agents were unaware of our "replacement' flight, as it was not on the normal schedule, and we had to argue with them to check us in. Then while checking in, the agent could not use my son's confirmation number needing some other number (pr# ?) and she just stood there and looked at me. This was THEIR rescheduled flight. How did they not have the information from the night before? Eventually she found what she needed on her computer - more delays. Now we are hurrying to TSA. Made it home finally. AND of course, since there is no way to speak to a human at Breeze, I am now fighting to get reimbursed for my hotel rooms. It's not like we took advantage. 10 people in three rooms with children. Through text, again because speaking to a person in not permitted, I submitted the three bills, with my confirmation numbers, and was told it would take up to thirty days to process my request. That is about the dumbest thing I have heard yet. I am sure this is going to turn into a battle. The next thing will be that they will want to reimburse me with Breeze credits, which I am not accepting, because I will rent a car and drive before ever flying Breeze again. read more

Absolutely terrible experience with Breeze Airways. I flew into Orlando (MCO) on May 9 to visit my wife's family for Mother's Day. Before my flight, I had been in New Hampshire doing work at my dad's cabin and boarded the plane wearing my work clothes. Although Orlando was my destination, Breeze mishandled my checked bag and sent it to Tampa instead. As a result, I arrived without any of my belongings and had to make do with the clothes I was wearing. I ended up purchasing replacement shoes because I didn't want to wear my dirty work boots to a Mother's Day dinner. Even then, I still had to wear the same sweaty jeans and boxers that I had been working in because Breeze had sent my luggage to the wrong airport. The most frustrating part was trying to get help. Breeze does not make it easy to speak with an actual person who has the authority to resolve a problem. Everything is routed through texts, emails, and scripted responses, making it nearly impossible to get a common-sense solution when something goes wrong. When I submitted a claim for the expenses I incurred because of the baggage delay, Breeze initially requested additional information and indicated they would review reimbursement. However, Breeze ultimately denied my claim. Their position was that because my bag was eventually sent to my home airport in Tampa, they were not responsible for any of the costs caused by their mistake. Let that sink in. Orlando was my destination. Breeze sent my bag to the wrong airport. I was without my belongings during my trip. Yet I was expected to absorb all of the inconvenience and expense while Breeze accepted no responsibility whatsoever. As Bag Supervisor Bruce later explained, Breeze will not reimburse expenses when baggage is delayed to a guest's home or originating airport, even when the passenger incurs expenses because of the delay. Travelers should be aware of this policy. If Breeze mishandles your bag and sends it to your hometown instead of the airport you actually flew to, you will be responsible for the costs that result from their error. In my case, I ultimately had to deal with retrieving the bag myself, and weeks after the trip had ended I received a text message asking whether I had received it. The fact that Breeze was still trying to determine the status of my baggage weeks later speaks volumes about how baggage issues are handled. What makes this even more concerning is that I frequently travel for work and often fly with tools. If Breeze were to mishandle my baggage on a work trip and send my tools back to my hometown instead of the state/city I was heading to for work, I could be forced to purchase a second set of tools just to complete my job. Based on my experience, Breeze's position would be that those costs are my responsibility, even though the situation was created by their mistake. Airlines make mistakes. What matters is how they respond when they do. Breeze chose to rely on fine print rather than customer service, accountability, or basic fairness. I will never fly Breeze Airways again. Do not fly. I am a travel professional who flew for the first time on this airline. I flew from Providence to Fort Myers except, I actually never flew. After I checked in, I waited as the flight was delayed from 7:25 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. By then it was obvious that I was not going to make my doctor's appointment and so I collected my checked bag and went to their airport ticket desk to secure my cancellation and refund. Apparently, there was a problem with the plane. Except there was no one there. See photo. When I finally spotted someone, she was a really nice supervisor by the name of Maria Pun. She was great. But even she was confused by the cancellation and refund policy. Unfortunately, neither she, a supervisor, nor I, could get a hold of anyone at the airline because they don't have a customer service number you can call nor do they have an internal line for their employees to call. The only option was to engage in a chat with someone in Utah somewhere. The photo below shows how difficult it was for the supervisor to use this system because of time lags. It was like watching paint dry. She spent a full half hour with me, at the end of which she told me that she would go ahead and cancel my flight and, if the flight was at least 3 hours late, I would get a refund. As I later discovered, the problem was that the airline does not ALLOW cancellations before that 3 hour window. They actually expect you to stop your life and sit there for three hours before you can cancel. I was 10 minutes from that 3 hour window but the supervisor didn't know better. As it turned out, the plane didn't take off for nearly four hours later. See photo. It took nearly 7 hours for their "Customer Empowerment Team" to respond to my desperate chat requests only to tell me that nope, I wasn't entitled to a refund; that all I was entitled to was a future flight credit and not even for the full amount that I paid. In lieu of a refund from the airline, I have disputed the charges with my credit card and will take them to small claims court if I have to. No way would I fly this airline again. Complete Description I purchased 2 tickets for a flight from PVD to SAN on January 28, 2026. The flight is for September 12, 2026. I purchased the "nicer" option to ensure I could choose my seats, as there were very specific seats I wanted. I chose said seats row 4, seats A and C. This was very intentional as this is a longer flight and my husband is tall. From here, I booked an entire trip, all starting with this flight, for these specific seats (I would have chosen another day, another flight specifically for these seats). I received an email that the flight has changed, an additional 30 minutes added to duration, no big deal, this happens. However, on April 20, 2026, I received an email that my seats were changed. This is a big deal! This is not okay! This was a decision that Breeze made, not a scheduling issue. They gave my selected, paid for seats to someone else! I reached out to customer support. They didn't care. I asked for my seats back. They said they cannot give me occupied seats. BUT THESE WERE MY OCCUPIED SEATS THAT THEY GAVE TO SOMEONE ELSE! All I wanted were the seats I had selected when this flight first opened. The ones that I selected! I asked how they could give my seats away, they had no answer. Pretty much told me to get lost. I asked again, no response. I asked to move me to nicest if they wouldn't give me my seats back, they said nope. They refused to help me and simply did not care. What Breeze did was wrong. This is a big deal to me. This is a trip we have been waiting years to take and finally booked it because of these seats. This is all unacceptable and so very wrong! Please be becareful we bought a ticket from vegas to Louisiana. $350 Round trip. We got ticket confirmation. When we came back to Vegas my husband was unable to checking we got to the airport and lady said that card was declined and we have to buy one ticket to fly back to Vegas we had to buy it .airport. this happen to my auntie . My flight to RDU from PBI was delayed 8hours. I was stuck in the airport the whole time because they couldn't guarantee timing of anything. They said "don't go too far from the airport, you never know if the time you board could move up." We did get meal vouchers but they were horrible at communicating what was going on. On the plane they are great but customer service outside of the plane is the worst. You can only text, email or leave a message for them to email you. They are impossible to get in touch with. The texting system is terrible and sends just automated texts you don't get to actually speak to anyone and I tried for hours after they upgraded ours seats a separated us in different rows and we are flying with a minor. Delayed reactions to us being stuck on a plane for FOUR hours. Took the attendants long enough to even offer a cup of water. Then we're stuck at the airport with no accurate information. This zero also goes out to Westchester Airport and all of their employees who seem to know nothing every time you ask them a question regarding your flight. Worst airline I've flown and I've flown many times for many years and several airlines. Flight going out had hundreds of people waiting in line just to check a bag.. then when you get to the front they turn you away anyway and we had to carry on our bags. Guess they don't want extra money. Then the way going back home they don't even open their check in area until only 2 hours before the flight. We're used to flying in big airports we arrive 3.5 hours early because any later we've missed flights. But now it's on us to just wait until breeze decides to open. Usually there is time to grab food, or check out the shops, they make that impossible. They make the experience horrible from the start. Absolute trash airline service. Can't even afford to have staff. Now I will say the plane is clean and comfortable, and the flight attendants were very kind. But honestly that loses appeal with the getting there and leaving aspect being so bad. Let's see if they don't lose our bags... read more

No one at the airport on either end and no one online or via phone to talk to. do NOT use breeze. Flew from Providence, RI to Jacksonville, FL in August on a day with lots of delays and cancellations. Breeze was excellent. Staff all friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help. Flight crew got us out in time and super smooth. I typically fly with status on the main carriers and Breeze provided a much better service. read more

This past weekend we flew "nicest" (their 1st class) to New Orleans and the interior panel of the plane was literally falling off. The duct tape it had been held up by was no longer holding and my seat and the over head luggage was holding it up. When I contacted them they gave us a 3% refund. I flew Breeze Airways nonstop from Portland, Maine to Tampa, Florida in December 2026. While the plane was comfortable, the customer service was nonexistent. My brand-new $300 LLBean suitcase was badly damaged upon arrival in Tampa. There was no one at baggage claim, and despite taking photos and making repeated calls over six days, no one followed up. I was given phone numbers that were never answered and promises of contact that never happened. When I finally spoke with a Breeze manager after returning to Portland, he ultimately told me there was "nothing he could do," even though he was the official manager. I am left with unusable luggage and zero accountability. I will be filing a complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation. Between the damage, the cost, and the frustration, I will never fly Breeze again. read more

Flight 852 Orlando to Pensacola- we were boarded on time, then believe this or not the plane next to us had a De icing failure and Breeze Airlines decided that we need to switch planes because we had a Pensacola destination and the other plane has a northern destination. We switched planes then they realized that in fact due to weather we did need de Icing- because of Breeze Airline employe tried to be a hero our entire flight is/was delayed by 7 hours and 40 min!
