Traveled from Jacksonville to Louisville and as soon as we had to get off the bus to get serviced I was put back in the wrong bus due to the greyhound worker not scanning my ticket and would up in Louisville 24 hours later and never seen my packages again. I had 4 large luggage piece( I brown box, I large black bag, I green and grey bag and one black bag with grey stripes) that gave TOTALLY disappeared. No one has seen any of my items since I was asked to get off the bus to be serviced. No remorse..No contact numbers to dial.. my important papers and items are just lost. This company is awful. All they can say is submit a form. I've done that and placed booking number 3286497457 on so many documents the number comes to me in my sleep. The 0835 bus driver was extremely rude and told a customer boarding to pour her hot coffee on us. He also asked her to hit us with her bag. He threatened to kick us off the bus if we talked to each other and complained about everything. He made us feel uncomfortable. He is supposed to represent the company in a positive light, but instead, he made many people angry. He discriminated against white people. Took Greyhound from Paducah KY to Memphis tn. The ticket stated an hour and half layover in Nashville for transfer. I was traveling to a medical appointment and as the way the schedule was made it gave me a good amount of time to make my appointment. First hand once I got in the bus from Paducah to Nashville, I had noticed that the bus had a strong smell of vomit and the bathroom was even worse. When I got to Nashville my hour and half layover turned into five hours since the driver never showed and I missed my appointment and got stranded in Memphis tn. After many emails with grayhound customer service I was told that there is nothing they could do because situations happen and it was out of their control. They should just be honest and print on the ticket that "we will get you to your destination, when we feel like it." On July 14th my sister and I caught the greyhound going to Myrtle Beach.  This is my 1st time traveling so I didn't know what to expect.  We ended up stopping in TN. We were stay on this bus, but others were getting off so I checked our bags at the bottom of the bus to make sure they were still there, and they were. We were told we had to get off and wait in the bus station. We were there for about 20-30 minutes.  When we went to board the bus I went to check our luggage again,  I was stopped by a worker who told me I couldn't check and the compartments were closed, the driver heard the conversation and told me to check real quick,  I ran to check, unfortunately the middle compartment was shut (where our luggage was), but the ones on each side were still open. It was odd, but the driver assured me our bags were safe. The next stop was Atlanta,  when we got off the driver opened only the two end compartments and not the middle.  When I opened it I realized my grey bag was missing.  No one tried to help. The drive just threw 2 bags on the sidewalk saying they were left, never did he turn them in to lost and found. I opened both one had a lot of medicine in it. I was able to contact the owner , I have her number if needed. I went to the front desk and was met with rudeness.  Her and I got into it. I told her she acted like she didn't care. Her response to me was " you act like I did it", I said to her, "you should act like you did it." We all know she was the cause,  I said that to her her to simply suggest that she should show so empathy/ since of urgency as she showed neither. I tried several times to file a lost and found but it would never go through on line. On our way home we ended up in TN again,  I talked to a man in a wheelchair who told me they don't keep bags over 5 days, I told him it hasn't been 5 days yet, then he told me there was nothing in the lost and found,  he never went to look. Everyone who works for greyhound was so unprofessional, and nasty to us. They treated us like we were nothing/less than. Every time we encountered someone,  they would give us the nastiest look as if to say "Don't ask me nothing ". They all jad the same attitude like they were trained to be as unprofessional and as rude as possible to the customers. I have not been able to file a report. They made my first time (and last) bus experience so miserable.  I've never seen such unprofessionalism in a group of people. I believe they are running a scam at the bus station in TN, please do a full investigation on them. Why was the compartment with my bags not opened when we were leaving and when we landed. Why didn't the worker go check when I asked.  I've never seen a lost and found at any company that was empty, there is always something.  I'm so disgusted with Greyhound! Had a connecting bus from Louisville Kentucky to Nashville Tennessee. To start, the bust stop in Louisville was a sore sight with ceiling panels falling from the ceiling and quite unfriendly staff. About and hour from Louisville, our driver had to perform an emergency stop as the bus began to overheat. We sat on the side of the highway for about a half hour before he started the bus back up and drove to the closest town. We were parked at a gas station for over 3 hours before another bus showed up. Other than the overheating issues, the first bus was pretty decent. Only complaint was the seats were very uncomfortable and it was really cold. The second bus had comfortable seats but had a plethora of other issues such as leaking ceiling and missing outlets. Due to this experience, I can say with confidence that I will never be traveling by Grayhound again. read more

I ride the greyhound very often and it's always late never have a drive on site at the Louisville Kentucky location. It is horrible and Nashville station as the rudest employees I'm not surprised that it hasn't been a bad incident you can't ask them a question without being cursed at or told go sit the fuck down . This place is filthy dirty for a bus terminal. The restrooms are always dirty along with the tables and seating areas. ZERO STARS!!!! Just had the most horrible experience. Rude and racist! We took a friend to catch a bus to Chicago. He had just got out of the hospital for a torn kneecap and was in a leg brace. There were a group of shady looking people sitting on the sidewalk outside. One of them, a woman, asked him about his leg and then asked if he had any pain medication. He made the mistake of saying yes and she harassed him and asked to trade her "services" for a pill. He shrugged it off, and shortly thereafter, she came inside and again asked for pills. When we became aware we were being attacked by this zombie we contacted a sheriff who was present in the building but did nothing about it. Instead he came to our friend with accusatory eyes, asking him if he was there to ride the bus (why else would you be there?) in a blatant display of racism. In a separate incident (the same day), I was unable to purchase the ticket at the advertized price of $22. They charged $18 extra because I was purchasing a ticket for another person. Then there was an additional $31 charge for paying at the counter. When I spoke to customer service and asked for a discount for all of the trouble, having tried to purchase online for the last two hours, etc. they said "what trouble?" and refused to offer me any concession. They were rude, prejudiced and disrespectful. read more

This Louisville Greyhound location is better than Cincinnati and Columbus' bus station. They've got a side cafeteria attached to the station, which has tables and chairs, fountain drink, and some grilled food options. However, the Greyhound station in Nashville is by far the best. read more

The bus driver kept trying to restart it but it kept breaking down in the middle of the highway!!!! He kept trying to start it and move it up,but it would keep stopping. Then a cop pulled up behind him and he kept driving. He got us back to Nashville by starting and going but almost killed!!!! Then we had to wait in Nashville for another bus. Wow. Still sucks, but as good as it gets for greyhound. This bus was nice! New comfortable seats. Not crowded at all. Driver had a sense of humor. This has been a terrible experience I left Atl on Wednesday my bus was late getting to my destination because we had to turn around and go get a passenger that was left. Well today I was due to leave at 12:25 the bus didn't leave until 1:10 and it was over booked so the driver decided the two young girls that was offering to sit on his lap during the ride should ride before a handicap lady or me with a toddler. So here is your Greyhound update/ follow up. After speaking with customer service I was informed that the "Full Price" of the ticket couldn't be returned because the ticket had been partially used. I was told repeatedly that was their policy. If I purchase a ticket for my wife and you mess up her trip so badly that she would end up stranded when she gets to the end of the Greyhound ride portion of her trip, that isn't her using their company for a free ride. That's GREYHOUND messing up and causing her a MAJOR issue. If I bought a sandwich and found a roach in it after eating 3 bites I don't think McDonald's would tell me they were sorry but since I had 3 bites they could only give me some of my money back. NEVER MIND that her bus left Louisville at 7:45 am and they weren't going to be able to get her out of Indianapolis until 6:00 pm. For anyone that doesn't know, that means that they planned on taking her just 1 and 1/2 hours away during all that elapsed time. GREYHOUND also informed her that airlines have issues and they were no different. First off, that's like McDonald's telling me I'd have issues at Burger King. That is deflection and not customer service. Secondly, airlines have plenty of issues but you seldom hear that your pilot had worked too many hours to fly you where you were going so you had to wait for a new pilot. Greyhound caters to the poor in need of travel but they prey upon them as well. It's a CRYING shame that they don't have competition because chances are, any competitor would put them right out of business. read more

Worst bus service ever! The bus had 2 hours of delay and at the end the driver decided not to take me because I asked him when the bus is leaving. The management there said there is nothing I can do and if they don't want they don't have to take me even though I had a ticket. They didn't even refund my ticket and only changed it for one much later on the day. I lost an important meeting because of it. Never travel with Greyhound if you have another option. The most recent scenario of terrible customer service is when they laid our bus over in Louisville for close to 4 hours (when the original layover was supposed to be for 40 min). First off the bus driver was close to two hours late. THEN he disappears without informing us that there's a maintenance issue with the current bus and we're waiting on a mechanic.
