We arrived here at 3PM for a 5:30 flight to LGA which we knew was going to be delayed. We were the only group (four of us) that were at the counter. I mean... this was one quiet airport. After a quick check-in we waited for my wife's wheelchair and made our way through the TSA checkpoint. My quickest security check ever. We noticed many stores (lots of bourbon here and it seems that everyone is on that bandwagon.) They also had one really robust store here with many brands, sizes, etc... I wound up buying some take home at the Churchill Downs Store but was a little set back on the pricing. $45.00 for hat??? A fairly quick walk to the gate and we sat a waited. Internet is really good here and I had no trouble viewing some live video. After waiting a bit we decided to stop by Chilis for a quick bite before the delayed plane left. You can see that they're doing a fir amount of construction here which is good since this airport could use a bit of a facelift.

There is plenty of seating in the airport and my flights weren't at capacity to where we had to fight to get on the plane. I even noticed the TSA agents seemed to enjoy their job which is not the norm in other airports. They greeted you, smiled, made small talk, and chatted amongst themselves. It was refreshing to see and experience. The seating seemed a little primitive as I didn't observe a lot of electrical/charging capability. I had to put my coffee on the seat as I went off and left it with my wife given lack of tables. My wife looked for a lounge but didn't locate any. I'm not sure if that was the airport as a whole or specific to Chase/AmEx cardholders. My daughter who is stationed in Italy and came to visit was complaining about the US coffee and I observed an Illy Italian coffee machine by our gate which made her smile. Love this aiport.

Check in at the kiosk…read morewas easy, printing out our boarding passes and luggage tags, then taking them to an agent to check in our bags. Boarding was also easy - flights on time, boarding groups announced and moved through quickly. All of our flights were smooth and the attendants took excellent care of us with snacks and drinks. Luggage claim was well announced and we grabbed our bags quickly to head home.

The assigned seats have resulted in much slower boarding, first checked bags were initially charged at $35, just raised to $45, and overall prices have been skyrocketing. What used to be a stand out airline seems to be aspiring for the infamy of the spirit airline experience.

It wasn't that she did anything special or went above and beyond. She was just very pleasant and positive. She seemed genuinely happy to be there and pleased to see us. That pleasant demeanor goes a long way. The check-in was seamless and quick. TSA was also done as well. Experiences certainly vary from airport to airport and from trip to trip, but today Delta was a winner.

Then send a text at 9:45 that the flight is boarding at 9:45; final boarding text set 9:50 Meanwhile TSA left for the day at 9:30 and they didn't bother to tell anyone (this is their regular time at this smaller airport apparently) Two other passenger left stuck crying in the airport while they called our names and nothing could be done. No forewarning of anything, and their customer service will just text you and let you know it's all your fault. Will not be traveling with them again. Was not a Breeze.

We had a few appointments to maintain... Casey's intimate knowledge of all the distilleries allowed him to steer us in the right direction, as locations closed due to power failures and flooding and the sins of man. However you are allowed a purse or laptop bag for free. My second oldest daughter was cheering in Disney and had practice late on a Tuesday night and her team wanted her down there on a wednsday. Us being a family of 7 making a 13 hour drive in one day is a no go. So my wife and my other 4 daughters made the drive towards Atlanta on a Tuesday and me and my cheer daughter flew down direct wednsday morning. Worked out as the only thing we needed on the flight was a phone charger and that fits in her purse. So spirits cheaper boarding worked out perfect for our scenario. The flight itself was smooth and comfortable. They do not offer complimentary snacks or beverages or any form of tv entertainment however this was a 2 hour flight so we didn't need that. Overall we had a good and cheap experience. Would definitely use in as Similar situation in the future.

I sent them pictures of my luggage and a picture of my confirmation that they sent me with the time on it,I took my luggage back to the airport before I left Vegas and was told it was taken care of. When I got home I was asked to take my damaged luggage back to the airport again. When am I going to get a resolution to my problem? I am really frustrated with their customer service reps. It's nice to be able to try wonderful places without worrying about driving! They have everything you need to have a great day on the bourbon trail; light snacks, water, soft drinks, and cups to sample with on the coach. We enjoyed our time with our guide at the Frazier getting a brief knowledge overview of bourbon before our journey began. We started bright and early with a delicious tasting there! We then had a delicious lunch that was ready almost exactly when we arrived, which was great after already having a few tastes! The tours at Jim Beam and Heaven Hill were very informative and enjoyable. We really hope to go to try out the Thursday and Friday tours sometime soon!

SDF is a small airport & arriving here wasn't a bad experience. I got a bourbon ball when I arrived…read more& there were many personnel directing travelers to the areas for ride sharing. Leaving the day after the derby I knew to arrive early especially after it was reported to get there 2.5 hours prior to departure due to it being reported on the news that the Sunday was the busiest day at this airport on the news. There was not a sign saying where the clear lane was but we asked & were told where to go (same lane as pre-check). Once we got to the clear ambassador we were checked into the entrance of the lane with no issues. When we got toward the front of the clear line that is when things went wrong. There was one lane for pre-check & one for clear. 3 lanes or more lanes were for general entry. At that point TSA agents began letting pre-check passengers pass us in our lane and we had to just wait. Then they began letting general passengers without a paid expedited clearance go through security before us. This went on for an extended period of time. Then a couple in front of me that had clear were finally allowed to go through security. The tsa agent (Fatima) was holding a paddle directing passengers including that couple to move forward. The paddle that she used to direct passengers was still being held up so I thought she was telling me I could go since I was next in line. When I moved she yelled at me and told me to come back. Then another passenger began asking her why there were three lanes open with TSA agents checking in & verifying ID's to proceed into security for only pre-check passengers for an extended period of time and why clear passengers couldn't proceed. Passengers without any expedited clearance were also allowed to keep moving forward into the security search area. Fatima said that we were regular and had to wait. The other passenger said that we are not regular and asked why we paid for clear if we couldn't use the benefits and were not being processed prior to the regular passengers. The passenger asked another TSA agent if she should just go through the regular lane instead of clear & that TSA agent said that she would have to go to the end of the line if she did. That line was extremely long & the passenger had a flight less than an hour to departure. Also another TSA agent was allowing passengers with pre-check and clear move to the TSA only line in front of other passengers. More passengers in the general lanes were allowed to move forward while we continued to have to wait. Fatima later called another employee over and then they asked for a supervisor. Fatima was very unprofessional and rude. Many of TSA agents were unprepared, unorganized and unprofessional. There were a few nice TSA agents but Fatima wasn't one of them.
