Received a coupon in the mail for $69 Maintenance. Made appointment and technician came as…read morescheduled. However he checked a couple of things on the outside AC unit in about 20 Min and reported everything looks great and I quote" you should have no problems for for the summer season" This was 6/20/2026. I asked if he cleaned the coils and he told me this was not included in the service I requested. I was surprised the coils were not included so I went outside later and started cleaning the coils. I noticed shinny screws on the ground and realized the Tech had not put back on the screws removed to check the Electric on my AC unit. I spoke to owner who said he would come next day to replace screws, but never saw or heard from him again. JUST 30 DAYS LATER my AC unit stopped working on a Saturday evening so we were without AC for two days at 112Degree days. Had another company come out and he found Burnt wires which burnt out the compressor. New tec said the wires were burnt for quite some time and previous company should have seen them? SO MUCH FOR YOU ARE GOOD FOR ALL SUMMER NO PROBLEMS ?? Gave Tri-State A/C Hero a chance, but they are no Hero just a Zero!!

He explained everything and I did not feel I was being sold things I didn't need. The main thing I want and require from a company is honesty! He checked everything out, made a couple of recommendations but said they weren't urgent and could wait for awhile. How refreshing to not be pressured into buying something that isn't needed right away and will not negatively affect my AC unit. I recommended him to my neighbor and she made an appt for next week. Called Alpha Air because they were the company that installed my HVAC system 7 years ago and I was…read morevery satisfied with that. Moving forward, my A/C needed repair as it was not working at all. They came out during regular business hours the next day and although it took Matt a few hours to diagnose the problem, I appreciated the thoroughness. He fixed the problem, a burned out contactor. The part was covered under the factory warranty. It took him approximately 40 min to replace the part. After the service was complete, the labor charge was $250/hour X 2 hours of labor. After some negotiation, they reduced it to one hour, however, from my research the usual and customary labor fee in Las Vegas is $75-150/hour. I was going to sign up for their biannual plan for cleaning and maintenance of HVAC but , heaven forbid they find something wrong, I can't afford the labor that would go along with the repair! I feel that while Alpha Air is a good company, their labor fees are extraordinarily high. I hope to find a more reasonable company for future use.
