I stopped by through a referral from a friend and was in communication with a specific sales rep leading up to my visit. Upon entering, my point of contact was helping another customer, but instead of making me wait, another sales rep jumped in to assist. It was clear to me they were operating well as a team. I received a call back from the store manager following my visit to see if I had ever stopped in, suggesting there was perhaps some miscommunication between the sales rep and the store manager. I went yesterday to replace the rubber strap on my SuperOcean 42 and Evelyn and Gabriel could not have been more helpful! Gabriel provided exceptional customer service by offering me a beverage as well as giving me two Breitling hats when I realized they didn't take Apple Pay and had to go elsewhere to get cash. Okay... I just had, literally, the most insane interaction I've ever had with any retailer. I have a number of very nice timepieces, and was very happy to add a Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph recently to my collection. Unfortunately, after just 1 month, the 2 o'clock pusher stopped working. Somehow, an internal component must have given way. I called Breitling and they directed me to take the watch in to this boutique, whereupon they would send the watch on to Breitling to be fixed. I spoke with the associates there and asked if it was common to have an integral component like this give after just 1 month. The two associates immediately became incredibly aggressive and defensive. I said I was just trying to understand if this was a common issue or if it's a rare thing, and if there were anything I should be doing to prevent this kind of thing in the future. Instead of answering my question, they came after me, telling me that if I had a problem with my watch, I should go talk to the dealer who had originally sold me the watch. What??? The name of your store is BREITLING. You are an official BREITLING BOUTIQUE! The corporate Breitling Service Center directed me specifically to come to you! You don't know anything about Breitling and can't speak to the watch's reliability and build quality? Seeing as that neither associate seemed knowledgeable or helpful, at this point, I asked if there were a manager I could speak to. And that's when the associates said, "No!" They then tore up my service request and said, "We're not going to work with you." What INSANITY is this??? Can you imagine if you, for example, walked into a McDonald's, ordered a happy meal, got a burger with spoiled meat, and then asked, "Hey, is it normal to get a bad burger like this?" only to then have the person behind the counter tell you, "Well, if you don't like the burger, go call McDonald's corporate." And when you figure, "Wow, this cashier doesn't seem very helpful," and ask to speak to a manager, the cashier then yells at you to "Get out!" How insane is that??? Holy smokes! I've gotten nicer treatment when I needed the battery in my $50 Seiko replaced. It's crazy to me to spend what I spent on my Breitling to then be treated in this fashion. So, the moral of this story is: Go to this boutique if you're a sadomasochist and like getting yelled at. read more

Very nice small Breitling shop in Fashion Valley. Staff person was welcoming and friendly. She showed me a few through the glass and explained some were quartz some were not. I asked her if she could open the case up and she showed me the two that I posted. When my son was in his twenties I promised to buy him a Breitling when he was older. Yesterday, I went to Breitling as the rubber strap for my SuperOcean 42 broke. Gabriel and Evelyn provided such excellent service I had to write this review! Gabriel was friendly and extremely knowledgeable which I really appreciated. It was also so convenient that they had the strap in stock and were able to install it. They don't take Apple Pay so I had to find a Wells Fargo close by which was no big deal. Gabriel gave me two Breitling hats as a way to thank me for my trouble as well as a beverage. Bought a Superocean 44 online and was there to pick it up as I was informed by manager it was in the store. I went the next day . Immediately I felt the vibe change amongst the 2 workers when I entered the store. I am not the usual clientele and they looked at me rather suspiciously as I am a POC. The gentlemen was dismissive and rather rude when I inquired about my watch. They had difficulty finding my watch and eventually I tried to remind him that it was a NEW watch but he cut me off and said "Let me do my job". Turns out they were looking in repaired watches. I recently purchased the Breitling Navitimer World GMT 46mm and needed it resized. Nate, the manager at this location, graciously offered to resize it for me last minute even though he had an upcoming scheduled appointment. With almost two decades experience in the industry across many US cities, Nate is incredibly knowledgeable about Breitling and watches in general. As he was resizing my watch, I asked many detailed questions about the international warranty, servicing needs, and even Breitling history. He answered every question to my satisfaction. Alexa was also very helpful showing me a SuperOcean Heritage 46mm I have been pondering, and also showed some women's 35mm Navitimers to my wife. Both were very professional and courteous, and not "pushy" as I have experienced in some other watch stores. Recently submitted a warranty claim (8/16) at the Breitling Boutique in San Diego as the watch would no longer wind thus making it inoperable. Without a doubt, the worst customer service I've experienced with a luxury product...ever. Absolutely zero communication thru 4 weeks. Called Nate who apologized and said he would follow up with the factory and update me within days. It's now been just under 7 weeks and I have still haven't received a call from Nate or anyone else at The Boutique. Inexcusable! Personally, I would not recommend Breitling products either from a quality standpoint or a customer service perspective. read more

The shop was nice. Alexa helped me. I decided to buy an expensive watch with the diamonds after i returned from my visit from the store. They would not take my credit card as the billing address was different from my secured shipping address !!!!! This is where their service went HORRIBLE !!! I then suggested to the manager to Pay Pal the store. He suggested I pay his clerk ? ?????? I am not sending money to a clerk i do not know !!! I meant the store ! So i suggested the money to be wired. He said he would find the wire information , and email it to me. I had to wire the money twice , as the information sent was confusing. I called the manager and was told i should call the bank to ensure his form was filled in correctly ??? Customer service ????? Now, they have my money, and would not ship my watch as he said it was a P.0, BOX ? INCORRECT !!!! the address is a Secured UPS store with an address, and box number. I have had other watches from Breitling shipped there with no problems. He CANCELLED my order !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I emailed , called , and begged for my refund many times , sometimes with NO RESPONSE !!! I mean my wire took 2 days , and i was still waiting over a week for my money on a order they CANCELLED !!!!! I got very frustrated as i was promised an email the following day, it never came????? No surprise. I called , and a man with the name starting with a "G " answered with a condescending voice said he had heard of my troubles in getting my refund , and that the manager was on vacation for 2 months ! He kept saying to my suggestions " it's not our policy " , and he really did not want to help !!! I got angry , and wanted my money !!!! He hung up on me !!!!! Hung up on me !!!! As i tried to call back no one would answer the phone !!!!! Customer service ?????????? i wonder how many customers got no service due to them not answering the phone for 30 minutes or so??
